Midnight nodded when Her sister made the comment about her foal. “I really want it to be a colt” she admitted. “I miss freckles so much, and I just..I just wish I had a little colt.” She sighed slightly. “But yea, let’s go check with Oreo” she said. Midnight looked at specks nodded, understanding that he would watch beauty. Midnight trotted over to where Oreo was with her little sister. “Hi mid!” Starlight said. “What can we do for you?” She asked. “Well, twilight wants to check with Oreo to see if she’s pregnant, and I was hoping you could check on my foal, cause it’s already kicking” midnight said. Starlight nodded. “Yea, sure. Oreo” Oreo nodded and beckoned to twilight to come over to her. “Now, why do you think you’re pregnant?” She asked, laying her tail on the mares belly. Midnight went over to her little sister and starlight put her tail on midnights belly. “You’re little foal is just fine, I think it was just your stomach growling, I barley feel a thing” starlight said laughing. Midnight nodded and nuzzled her sister. “Thanks light” she nickered. Starlight nodded and went back to herb sorting. Midnight waited for twilight to finish up with Oreo.
(ok, and midnight will have a filly, but she gets said when she finds out twilight is has a colt)

Twilight nodded with a smile "That would be so fun!" she agreed, trotting alongside her. She let Midnight explain why they were there, then stepped forward to Oreo, blushing at her question. "Umm well.. I mean it is possible... since we came back..." she trailed off, blushing furiously again.

Oreo smiled slightly and kept working. Her tail stopped. “Well would you look at that” she said. “Twilight, I would say your sister is right” a smile came over her face. “You’re pregnant” midnight heard what Oreo said. Her smile almost faded. Of course she was happy for her sister, but why couldn’t it just be midnight for once? She asked herself, her ears pinning back slightly. “Of course she is” midnight muttered. She closed her eyes, opened them again. Midnight turned and galloped back to specks. “So?” He asked. “She’s pregnant” midnight said, pressing her head into his neck. “Why is that a bad thing?” He asked. “Because I just wish it was me and only me for once” she said with a sigh. “Now just watch her have a colt and me have a filly” midnight lay down on the snow, then stood up. “I need to go back before she realizes I left” midnight galloped back to her sister and slid to a hault. Good, she hadn’t turned around yet. Midnight smiled at her when she did. “So?” She asked, pretending like she didn’t hear anything

Twilight's eyes widened "Wait really?" A smile stretched over her muzzle, one of happiness and love. Another foal!! And at the same time as Midnight! The two could grow up together, like the others had! "Thank you Oreo! And Congratulations yourself" she added, giving the healer a hug. Hearing her sister's voice she swung around. "Well, you guessed right! I'm pregnant! I can't believe it! And at the same time again too! Our foals can grow up together!" she said, happiness basically shining from her face.
(Oh and warning, this colt is gonna be a bad little colt xD. He's gonna become the bane of the herd)

Midnight smiled. "Thats amazing!" she nickered. "I'm so happy for you!" she said, hugging her sister. Her smile faded when they hugged, but as she pulled her head away, there was still a bright smile on her face. "Lets go tell the others" she said, there was a tone in her voice that made Midnight sound different. She sighed slightly then turned towards Specks and trotted with Twilight back over to them. Specks was acting like he didn't hear anything either. "so?" he asked. "She's pregnant" Midnight tried saying in a chipper tone, but it sounded more like disappointment than chipper. "Thats awesome Twilight." Specks said to Twilight. Midnight had walked away and she was eating some food. Her tail flicked off snowflakes that had landed on her butt

Twilight grinned happily and nodded, not noticing the tone of her sister's voice as she trotted over to Specks. But when she told Specks... her voice seemed almost.. disappointed? And when she turned after thanking specks for the congratulations, Midnight had walked away and was grazing. She frowned. "Specks, is Midnight sad that i'm having a foal? Why?" she asked.

(becasueee i dont want a trouble making foal, that just doesnt sound...very...fun)
Specks sighed but nodded. "yea" He mumbled. "You didn't hear this from me, but she came back before she came back with you. She had heard what Oreo said, and then explained to me how she felt." Specks looked over at his mate and then back at Twilight. "She told me that she just wishes it would be her for once, because the last two times it was both of you. And she really wants to have a colt, but now she thinks you're going to have a colt and she'll have a filly." Specks explained. "I know it may make you sad, but Midnight just wishes that it would be her for once, because you did promise her you would stay with her the entire time, and I guess she just feels that now that you're having a foal too, you won't be with her as much" Specks explained. "don't tell her I told you, she wanted me to not say anything" he said, glancing over at his mate again, who had her ears pinned to the back of her head

(XD sounds super fun to me lol... but ok. I suppose he can be a boring little cutie pie. Her next colt though, he's gonna be a trouble maker. Although... It would be my character.....)
Twilight's ears pinned as she listened to Specks. "Oh... but it was her idea to check!" she said in confusion, then nodded "Ok, I won't tell her." she said then sighed. "I knew something would bother her about it eventually, but I didn't think it'd be right away." By now though, she was used to her sister getting upset by such things, after all she'd gone through two pregnancies before this. Trotting over to Midnight, she silently began grazing beside her.

(WAIT! What if your colt and Midnights filly are both trouble makers??)
Midnight looked up at her sister and almost walked away. "I swear she's going to have a colt" Midnight whispered under her breath slightly. She sighed again but just kept grazing. She didn't say a word to Twilight, then she sighed and looked at her sister. "Listen" Midnight muttered. "I'm not sad that you're having a foal with me. The thing is, I really want to have a colt, but now I'm convinced you'll have a colt and I'll have a filly. And you know how hard it'll be on me if you have a colt. All the memories of Freckles will come flooding back, and I don't know I can handle that." she looked at her sister again. "I'm sorry if I get upset by the smallest things ok?" She said, almost knowing what her sister was thinking. She was right though, Midnight always got upset by the smallest things and it probobly annoyed Twilight. Midnight sighed and she lay down on the ground.
(FYI, the next lead family will either be Twilight and Rusty or Midnight and Specks)

(OH that could be fun!!! And oooh rivalry there xD... I wonder who it will end up being.)
Twilight frowned unhappily as she heard her sister mumble under her breath, shifting away from her slightly. Finally Midnight broke the awkward tense silence. Raising her head, Twilight felt pity for her sister. Of course it would be, she should've thought of that. But it wasn't like she could control what gender her foal would be. With a sigh, she herself lay down beside Midnight, giving her a big hug. "Hey sis, that's not a small thing. I understand. I mean obviously I can't completely understand, but I do understand why it would upset you. I know I can't do anything about what gender my foal turns out to be, but I promise i'll be here for you no matter what." she said gently.

Midnight smiled and returned her sisters hug. "thanks twily" she nickered, feeling much better about things. "If I'm being honest, I do love how close in age our girls are, so have two others close in age as well, will be really good for them as Nutmeg and Beauty will almost be full grown mares by the time they foals are born." Midnights heart twisted. "it feels like just yesterday they were foals and Stardust and Songbird were yearlings." Midnight nuzzled her sister and then she spoke again. "ya know, its funny, I'm the only one who wants the foal to be a colt" she said with a laugh. "specks and the girls want a filly"

Twilight smiled "Me too, it's good for them" she said softly. "It does, doesn't it?" she agreed with a slight smile, then chuckled. "Of course they do. You'd better not let Specks name your foal" she added as a sudden thought, remembering his name choices from the years past.

"Oh don't worry, I won't" she said with a laugh. "I think I'm going to name it after dad. If its a filly or a colt, either way, I'm making it related to dad" she nickered with a smile. "How about you?" she asked. "any ideas on your little foal?"

Twilight smiled "I was thinking the same thing honestly" she said with a slight laugh. "But I need to discuss it more with Rusty... Oh!" she exclaimed suddenly, eyes wide. "I haven't even told him yet! Or Songbird and Nutmeg!"
