(Should I make it interesting and have her foal early?)
Midnight groaned in agony. Her neck was pressed into twilight as she groaned. Beauty came trotting up with nutmeg beside her. “Hey dad, mo…” she stopped when she saw her mother. Her mother looked to be a serious amount of pain. “Dad?” Beauty asked. “Whats going on with mom?” She asked worridly. Specks looked up. “Beauty, go to your sister.” He said. “Bu-“ specks cut her off. “go” he said. “And take nutmeg with you” he said, “ok” beauty mumbled. She cantered away with nutmeg at her side until they came to her sister and mate. “Dad wants us to stay with you for a while” she said. Stardust looked at her. “Why?” Stardust asked. “Mom is in a serious amount of pain” beauty said. Worry came across stardust’s gaze. “Oh..” she mumbled.

Twilight let Midnight lean into her, giving her a tight hug. She looked over as Nutmeg appeared with Beauty, eyes going wide as she saw her aunt laying on the ground groaning. "Mom?" she said questioningly. "Go with Beauty" she said gently. Nutmeg sighed but obeyed, cantering after her cousin and swiftly catching up. Reaching her older cousin she snorted. "And apparently they don't think we're old enough to handle whatever's going on" she added, a bit annoyed. Really, it wasn't like they were yearlings anymore!!

Midnight groaned again. The pain was worsening. “I know this feeling” she mumbled. “The foal is coming” she winced as tight pains passed through her. She almost whinnied in pain. Tears were streaming down her face. “AGHHHHHHHH” she wailed, pressing her face into twilight. “No! You’re not old enough to handle this.” Stardust said. “The foal isn’t due for another 2 months, and if you said mom is in pain, then she’s foaling early” stardust said. Harley looked at his mate. “Go” he said. “Can you watch them?” She asked. Harley nodded. “You two stay put” he said. Stardust galloped towards her mother. The pain in her moms eyes, put worry in her eyes. Her mother was foaling early. “The foal is coming” she groaned again

Twilight's eyes widened and she looked up at Rusty in desperation and shock. Midnight was foaling! And then she set her foal attention on her sister. Giving her a big hug she rocked her gently back and forth, nuzzling her. "It'll be ok Midnight, nice and easy" she said softly.
Nutmeg's eyes widened. OH. That made sense. But wasn't that dangerous or something? It sounded like it. She looked over at Beauty. "Should we go find Grandma? Or Songbird? Or someone?" she asked uncertainly.

"No" Beauty said. "your dad is there, and they told us to stay put" Beauty said, worry crossing her gaze as painful sounding neighs split through the herd. Harley pulled his sister in law in for a hug. "its ok" he said. "your mom is strong, she'll make it through this. I promise" he said. Beauty nodded and hugged him back. "Thanks Harley" she nickered. Harley smiled, nuzzling her. Then, he pulled Nutmeg in for a hug as well. "Its ok" he promised. "Rusty is there, and he will get Starlight if anything happens" he said, knowing that was true. "Just send prayers to Epona that your new sibling makes it." he said.
Midnight groaned in agonizing pain again. "Twilight!!" She almost screeched. "it hurts!" A few mins go by and the pain was easing. Then it started again. "Is the foal coming yet?" she asked Rusty, her eyes were glazed with pain as she allowed her sister to rock her back and forth. "I'm here" Specks said. Stardust looked at her uncle. "what can I do?" she asked

Nutmeg let Harley pull her in for a hug, leaning against him. Now that people we're talking about her aunt making it... what if she didn't? She trembled slightly then looked over at Beauty, the fear disappating slightly. If she was feeling scared, then Beauty must be petrified.
Twilight nuzzled her again "I know Mid, I know, It's ok" she said soothingly looking up at Rusty again with wide eyes. He was watching with worry in his face. Midnight had to keep trying. At Stardust's question he glanced over. "We need Starlight, or Oreo, or both" he admitted.

"Oreo is due any day, its best if I get Starlight." Stardust said. Before she left, she bent down to her mothers level. "just hang on mom, I'll be right back" she promised. The fear in her gaze beginning to worsen as her mother let out another agonizing screech. She galloped off to find Starlight. She skidded to a hault in front of her aunt. "Aunt Starlight!" She called. Starlight looked up. "Woah, Stardust, clam down" she said. "what's wrong?" she asked. "Mom's foaling" she said. "What?" Oreo said. "She has two months left" Stardust looked at her aunt and then at Oreo. "I know...she's foaling early." The worry in her voice made both mares nod. "Alright. We're coming" Oreo said. It didn't matter if she was due any day, she needed to take care of Midnight right now. Stardust spun around and galloped back to her mother. "How is she?" she asked her dad. "She says the pain is getting worse." Specks replied. Oreo and Starlight were at her side instantly. "its alright, Midnight" Starlight said. "would one of you go get our mother?" Starlight asked. Specks nodded. He turned and galloped to Sunlight. "SUNLIGHT!" He called. "SUNLIGHT!!"
Harley nuzzled Beauty. Beauty had started crying. "its ok" he said soothingly. "she'll be ok" he said, hoping it was true. "But what if she doesnt?" Beauty wailed. "Don't talk about that" Harley said

Twilight watched as Stardust galloped off, returning after a few minutes with Oreo and Starlight. "See Midnight, Oreo and Starlight are here, they'll take care of you" she said gently, giving her a strong hug, hoping she was right.
Nutmeg moved forward and pressed against her cousin comfortingly, but stayed silent.
Sunlight lifted her head from grazing, looking over as a frantic Specks came racing towards her. "Woah, Specks, what's happening?" she asked in a calm tone. She could see the fear in his eyes, but she didn't know why it was there.

Oreo looked at Midnight and watched the ripples pass over Midnights belly. "how do you feel?" she asked. "Like im in a lot of pain" she said groaning. Oreo nodded and she put her tail on Midnights belly. "yea" she said closing her eyes. "she's foaling early." Midnight closed her eyes and pressed her head into her sister. "W-where did Specks go?" she asked wearily. "He went to get mom" Starlight said, nuzzling her sister. "it'll be ok. I promise." she said. She looked at Oreo. "she will be ok right?" Starlight whispered. Oreo looked at Starlight. "I hope so" she said.
Specks skidded to a halt. "Midnights foaling early." he said, fear pulsing in his eyes. "She's in a lot of pain. Sunlight, you have to come." he pleaded. "please"

Rusty worriedly hovered around the two mares as they checked Midnight over, meeting Twilight's eyes now and then and trying to send an encouraging look.
Sunlight's eyes widened and she nodded "Not a moment to lose" she agreed, quickly picking up a canter.

Midnight groaned in pain again and managed to raise her head when she saw her mother. "Mom" she muttered. The pain kept coming. "Its almost time" Oreo said. A tear rolled down Midnights face. Would she and her foal live through this? She wondered. Groaning again she waited for the pain to stop but it never did. "How much longer?" She groaned. "I'm not sure." Oreo admitted, putting her tail on Midnights belly again. "getting closer, thats for sure" she said

Sunlight raced up to her daughter and nuzzled her. "It's ok honey, I'm here, we're all here" she said, trying to keep the worry and panic out of her voice. Why was it always Midnight getting into these troubles? Many memories of her fainting, getting attacked, and getting sick flashed through her mind, along with the twins.. getting captured... her poor filly had been through so much! Why couldn't her life just be easy now? What was Epona doing?

Midnight took slow breathes and when she knew the foal was coming, she knew what to do. Midnight pressed into Twilight's neck each time a contraction hit. Specks would nuzzle her each time as well and keep encouraging her that everything would be ok. Midnight kept breathing heavily, sweat running down her face. "I can't" she said. "You can" Specks said, nuzzling her again. "I'm here" he promised. Midnight nodded and she took a breath. Son, the sun began to go down. And Midnight was getting restless. She kept trying to breathe but the pain kept coming.
(i have a school thing starting at 4 until about.....7 or 8 ish, but I'll have midnight have the foal when I get home)

Twilight let her sister press into her, nuzzling her to try and keep her calm. "Keep breathing regularly, in and out, in and out" Twilight encouraged.
Sunlight and Rusty lay down beside Twilight and Midnight, offering encouraging nuzzles and trying to help her breathe.
(ok! Sounds good, i have stuff i should get done anyway xD)

Midnight closed her eyes again and prayed to the heavens of epona that her baby was ok. A little after moon night, Oreo put her tail on midnights belly again. “It’s time” she said simply. Midnight took a very shaky breath, just as more pain surged through her. “Now, Midnight” Oreo said. Midnight listened to Oreo and midnight did everything she could. “Almost there” specks said, nuzzling his mate. Stardust lay in front of her mother, nuzzling her from time to time. “Almost there, mom” Stardust nickered. Midnight groaned again and pressed her face into twilights neck again. “Make it stop” she wailed.
(keeping you in suspense lol, but the foal is on the way)
