Nightstar yawned and her eyes started to close but she opened them again and lifted her muzzle towards the sky saying loud and clear. "M-MAMA" Midnight beamed. "I think we should all go" Midnight said. "not just me, but all of us." She gazed towards her sister, looking at her with pleading eyes. "Please" she whispered. "If Nutmeg got her this far, she can tell us how she did it." Midnight said.

Nightstar yawned again and then she nickered. "N-N-N-N-U-T-M-M-E-G. M-MAMA. D-D-D-D-A-D-A. B-B-B-E-A-A-U-U-T-Y. A-A-U-N-T T-T-T-W-I-L-I-G-H-T. U-U-U-N-C-L-E R-R-R-U-U-S-S-T-Y. S-S-S-T-T-T-A-A-R-D-U-S-T. S-S-S-O-N-G-G-B-I-R-D. G-G-R-A-N-D-M-A. N-N-N-I-G-H-T-S-S-T-T-A-R." Nightstar went over everyones names she had learned before she snuggled up against Nutmeg and fell asleep

Nutmeg grinned again, nickering softly and nuzzling the little sleepy filly. "You did so good!! Look how happy your Mama is!" she said, glancing over at her Aunt's shining eyes, and her mother's proud gaze. She looked back down as Nightstar sleepily ran through all the names, and she nuzzled her again, scooching closer and shifting so the filly would have a comfortable place to sleep. "Have a good, well earned nap!" she said softly, love for this little cousin welling up inside her.

Twilight smiled and nodded "Of course" she said, beaming herself with pride that Nutmeg had turned into such a good teacher. Who would've thought?!

“Well, she was small like that too, don’t forget that” midnight said. “She probably learned for experience or something” she added. Midnight smiled as she watched her little filly get comfortable beside her cousin before she fell asleep, “well look at that” midnight said as they began trotting over to the two. “How did you do it?” Midnight asked nutmeg, lying down near her, and careful not to disturb her sleepy filly.

"That's true!" Twilight said, she honestly hadn't thought of that! Trotting over with her sister she lay down beside Nutmeg softly, smiling at her with a parents pride. Nutmeg grinned at them, happy that it had worked, then she turned to answer her Aunt's question. "Well, I just asked her what her easiest letter was, and she said M, then she spelled out Mama. So then I had her try saying MA, then MA MA, then Mama!" she said, not really sure how to explain it. "She got it really fast, she's super smart!" she added, gently nuzzling the filly's frizzy mane.

Midnight smiled. “Maybe you could help her learn the other names too” midnight suggested. “It really means a lot that you taught her. Thank you” she said. “Did she end up learning your name?” Midnight asked, her heart still swelling with pride that her daughter had said a full word.

Nutmeg beamed "Totally!" she said eagerly, then blushed. "It was fun! And I think I might understand her and she might understand me better because I didn't speak for a while, so I understand how the thought process is" she said thoughtfully. She smiled again, adding "And yes she did! She liked to say it every time she said what i was asking her to" she said with a chuckle.
Twilight smiled and nuzzled her daughter. "Well done sweetie! I'm glad that you were able to help her!" she said.

Midnight felt a tear roll down her face. “Ever day I’ll give you and Nightstar space so you can teach her things.” Midnight said. “Like it would be nice if you could teach her the word hungry, cause right now she just bumps into me” she said laughing. “And of course I know what she means, but it will help if she can say hungry” midnight said. And at Nutmegs next comment midnight bumped lightly into twilight. “I told you that’s how she taught her” she nickered.

Nutmeg smiled and nodded "I would love to help you teach her!" she said eagerly, but feeling slightly confused as to why Midnight was crying. Was she sad because she wasn't the one teaching her daughter these things?
Twilight smiled and nuzzled Midnight. "Yes, yes, you were right" she admitted.

Midnight laughed. “Don’t worry Nutmeg, I’m not sad” she promised. “I’m just so happy that you were able to get her to say a full word” midnight told her niece. Night star blinked her eyes open after her little nap and looked up, smiling. “M-mama” she said. Midnight smiled and nodded. “Yes! That’s right, I’m your mama” she said.

(About to get to my friends house. Gotta go now)

Nutmeg smiled, happy once more, turning back to the filly as she woke up, and then beaming as she said the full word. "She's definitely got it down!" Twilight said with a chuckle.

(Ok!! Np gotta go eat and do dishes etc anyways lol!)

Midnight nodded. “Yes!” She said. “And that’s because of your help nutmeg” she nickered softly. “If you don’t mind, I was hoping you could teach her the word hungry” midnight asked. “So she can say
Mama hungry instead of bumping me in the side” midnight said. “But of course I don’t mind if she does do that” she said

Nutmeg grinned and nodded "I can definitely try!" she said, nuzzling the filly to get her attention. "Hey Nighstar! I have a new word for you!" she said energetically. "It's Hhhh uuuu nnnn ggg rrr yyy" she said slowly. "That's what you say when you want to EAT" she said with a smile. "Can you try?"

Nightstar thought for a second. “H-H-H” she then shook her head. That word was to complicated for her to say, but she tried again anyway. “H-H-H-U-N-N” Nightstar shook her head again. “Try a different word?” Midnight suggested. Nightstar looked over at her. “M-mama” she nickered. Midnight smiled. “That’s correct” she said.

Nutmeg nodded "I thought it might be a bit too hard" she said, then thought for another moment. "How about Milk?" she said, glancing at Midnight, then to Nighstar. "Mmmm iiii llll kkkk" she said slowly.

At that moment, Nightstar belly rumbled. “M-M—M-M-I-I-I-L-L-K.” She said, then she said. “M-mama. M-M-M-M-M-M-I-I-I-L-L-L-K” she said. Midnight smiled. “Ok” she said. “Nutmeg, will you help her up?” She asked.
