Riverland Mountain Herd -Private rp with tenebria-

Spirit looked over and had to laugh softly "I know, Rain, i know" he said, nuzzling her. "Of course. But we should start heading back, the entire herd needs to be by the hill if we are to escape any of this storm" he said seriously, beginning to head back.

Twilight quickly shook her hea "Oh no, of course he will be!! I just hope i'm right about him getting better this moment, since Fireball is so near him right now" she said.

[Abbster]

Rain nodded. “Right, of course” she said, standing to her hooves and following after her mate.

Midnight let out a breath of relief. “Hey, Galaxy was asking for you. She’s hungry” midnight said.

Spirit let out a whinny to the others, and the herd began heading back.

Twilight nuzzled her "Will you be ok if i go?" she asked.

[Abbster]

Rain followed her mate closely behind him. She flicked a few flies off her back with her tail and then trotted up to Spirit's side.

Midnight looked at her sister. "your filly is hungry, go" Midnight said. Why did Twilight think Midnight wouldn't be ok if she left? Midnight wondered

Spirit glanced to his side to make sure his mate was there, nuzzling her slightly as they moved back to their green home.

Twilight smiled "Thanks sis" she said, nuzzling her as she got to her hooves, shaking herself, then cantering off to go find her daughter.

[Abbster]

Midnight nodded. She was about to speak but her sister went galloping away. Midnight turned and looked at her colt. He was staring up at her with wide eyes. "What is it Apollo?" Midnight asked. "I wanna go to that rolling spot!!" He said. Midnight sighed. "No honey. You can't." Midnight said. "Why not?" Apollo asked. She sighed again. "Its...its hard to explain...come, we'll have dada explain it to you" Midnight said. Apollo nodded. "ok!" He said, standing up with his mother and then trotting to his father at her side. Midnight nudged Specks. He smiled. "Mid!" He said as he nuzzled her

Twilight reached her daughter and nuzzled her "Mama!" the filly said happily. "I'm sorry I was gone Galaxy, but i'm here now" she promised as she nuzzled her again. Galaxy gave a happy whinny and began nursing as Twilight bent her head to graze.

[Abbster]

"Wait, whats wrong?" Specks asked his mate. "Oh nothing" Midnight said. "Its Apollo. He wants to go to the other herd to roll in that grass he found earlier, and he doesn't seem to understand why" Midnight said. Specks chuckled. "And you thought I could explain it to him?" Specks asked. "Would you?" Midnight asked. "Is that even a question? Of course I will!" He said. Midnight smiled and nudged Apollo who wedged himself in between his parents. Midnight could see her sister nursing Galaxy, but some how Twilight hadn't noticed Midnight. "Now my little colt" Specks said, which snapped Midnight back to what they were doing.

Twilight was starving, she realized, as she chomped at the grass, her teeth drowning out the noise of hoofbeats. After a while she lifted her head, glancing about then starting in surprise as she saw Midnight and Apollo by Specks, the colt apparently hearing some explanation or story.

[Abbster]

"Apollo, you need to understand that what you did this morning is something that you shouldn't have done." Specks said. "What did I do?" Apollo asked. Midnight looked at Specks and then down at Apollo. "You left mama's side and wandered to the other horse herd" Midnight said. "They were nice!" Apollo exclaimed. "I...ok...but we don't wander" Midnight said, looking at Specks to continue. "Apollo, your mother's right. Even if the spot looked nice, you never want to stray from the herd. You don't know whats out there." Specks said. "Do you understand?" He asked. Apollo blinked and nodded slowly. "I think so" He said looking at his mother and then father.

Twilight swished her tail as she looked over, flicking an ear in interest before returning to her grazing. Good, she was glad they were giving him a proper talk on the subject.

[Abbster]

"You promise to never leave mama's side again?" Specks asked his colt. Apollo nodded. "Yes dada, I promise" He said as his father nuzzled him. Midnight smiled and nuzzled her mate. "Thank you" She said. Specks nuzzled her. "I'm always here for you" He promised. Midnight smiled and rested her head on his back....without realizing it, her eyes closed and she fell asleep.

Twilight glanced over a few minutes later as Galaxy finished nursing and plopped down to sleep. She noticed her sister sleeping with her family and smiled. That was good. She moved off, tail swishing as she grazed calmly.

Specks gazed down at his mate and he smiled, curling his tail around her lovingly. "I'm not going anywhere" He whispered to her, nuzzling her gently he smiled. He felt so happy being with her again. Feeling her head on his back, it was amazing

Twilight continued grazing peacefully, glancing around now and then before returning to the grass. She didn't know where her other foals were, but she assumed they were happily playing... or rather Shade probably was. Nutmeg was probably still with Echo. she sighed softly to herself before continuing to graze.
