Straightening up a bit, after helping divert another ball away from the goal, Ryo walks over to Hidaka, to try and gauge who he thought was still good for the team, and whose skills seemed to have waned. Because this was their last year, they would need to be sure that the team would be strong still, in their absence. Of course....he didn't really care about this team that much. Those that he did care about, would be going up to the next grade, and they would likely work together when the time came to go to university. As he jogs over to a couple of rookie players, he catches sight of Takanawa, sitting on the bleachers. He raises an eyebrow, wondering just why she was there. He really didn't understand her, since they were both on rocky terms. She had suddenly just showed up in his life, and now just seemed to be following him around. It was a little odd, but it wasn't like she was being creepy. Reaching down, he picks up a ball, and begins kicking it up and down with his knee, his eyes never leaving it.

"Kumiko, what are you doing here?" the voice of Ayumi asked as she appeared next to her.
"Oh, I am waiting for my dad. He is coming to pick me up. I guess the nurse called my parents after what happened earlier today," Kumiko answered as a flash of seeing that girl in the closet in the classroom earlier flashed before her eyes. A slight tingle feeling moved down her spine as she thought about it. She shook her head after a moment and smiled at Ayumi.
"No, what are you doing at the soccer field? You are never here. Is something wrong with you?" Ayumi asked as she placed her hand on Kumiko's forehead. "You don't have a fever..."
"I'm fine. I just came to apologize to Ryo about earlier. I should have not been such a jerk to him at lunch. I guess he has a point. I should be much nicer since he is older than I am," Kumiko sighed as she looked down at the ground for a moment. It was going to take some time to get used to calling him by his last name since she was so used to calling people by their first names because of her cousin in America. She heard her phone go off in her bag and reached for it. It was her cousin, Cora messaging her.

After kicking the ball a few more times, Ryo stops, kicking the ball up into his hands, when he hears the sharp whistling sound from his coach, reaching across the entire soccer field. That sound was likely a cue, that indicated that the practice was just about over. There were a few players that needed to be replaced, since they either seemed to have skipped summer practice, or they just didn't have the drive. But they would be replaced by much better players, who would take everything seriously. Scratching the back of his head, he throws the ball to Hidaka, so that he could head over to the locker rooms. He was going to take a quick shower to wash off, then he was probably going to head over to the ramen shop. His father was going to likely be working late again tonight and his mother was going to be going to Osaka for the weekend, to see her sister. He would eat dinner at the ramen shop and bring something back for his sister. He could see Takanawa talking to her friend, still feeling rather confused, as to why she was here. She never came to the soccer fields.

Noticing that Ryo was making his way towards the school, Kumiko looked at Ayumi. "I am sorry Ayumi, but I have to go. I will see you tomorrow in class!" Kumiko exclaimed as she ran after Ryo until she caught up to him. "Okada-san!" she called out, calling him the way that he wanted her to. If she was going to be friends with him, she would call him by his last name as he wanted. "Wait! I have something I want to talk to you about!" As she caught up to him, she stood in front of him as she held her bag with both her hands. Without warning, Kumiko bowed to him. "I want to apologize for earlier. It was rude of me not to call you by your last name...but I guess I got used to it because of my friends and my cousin, Cora. I will" She stood straight up knowing that there was a possibility that he was not going to accept her apology. And she was ready for him not to accept it.

Hearing a familiar voice, along with his surname, Ryo stops walking, about halfway from the school building, and turns around. "Takanawa-chan?" He asks, turning a bit, so that he could look at her. He raises an eyebrow, but doesn't speak, since he figured that Takanawa would tell him, just what was on her mind. He watches as she starts to move around him, until she was standing in front of him, bowing. Listening to her apology, Ryo nods, understandingly. "I appreciate your apology, Takanawa-chan, and I appreciate that you are willing to respect my wishes. I had no idea that you spent some time in America, so it makes sense that you would probably be more used to their customs. Maybe with time, you can address me by my first name, but right now, calling me by my last name, is the best way to go." He says. Despite his distant personality, and rather blunt way of handling things, he wasn't unreasonable. If he could tell that an apology was genuine, then he could accept it rather easily.

"Actually, I go every summer to visit my cousin in Washington state for two weeks when we are out of school," Kumiko answered with a smile. She pulled her phone out to show her cousin Cora's picture. "That's my cousin Cora. Her dad is a Captain in the US Navy. He came over here for a deployment and met my aunt Aiko." But soon out of the corner of her eye, she spotted her father's car pulling up in the parking lot nearby. "I have to go since my dad is here. I will see you tomorrow, Okada-san!" She waved to Ryo and headed to the parking lot. "How was your day?" Akira Takanawa announced as Kumiko got into the passenger seat of the car. "Well...it was okay," Kumiko answered as she closed the door. "I just don't know if I want to talk about what happened today..." "It's okay. You can tell me about it when you are ready. Your mother is worried about you, though. Why don't we stop and pick up dinner so that she does not have to cook tonight." Kumiko nodded. "Okay. That sounds like a good idea. How was work?" "Fun. I had an interesting surgery that I had to do today. My patient had a large tumor that was hiding in the brain. I was not sure if I was going to get it all out," Akira announced as he began to drive down the road.

Raising his hand up a bit, to wave to Takanawa, Ryo turns back to the school, so that he could get cleaned up. He would only be here for another ten or fifteen minutes, and then he would head out to get some ramen. He was probably going to go alone, since the rest of his friends had already left for the day. It was a bit of a price to pay, for his position on the soccer team. Practices could run late, and as such, there were times where his friends would already be at home, playing video games or doing homework, by the time he got home. Stepping into the locker rooms, he puts the soccer ball away, before grabbing his clothes and a towel. It would be good to have a shower after such a long practice, then he would grab his things, and head home.
After finishing up his shower, Ryo thoroughly dries off, and gets dressed, before stuffing all of his things, either into his backpack, or his gym bag.
Walking out of the school, he shifts his gym bag a bit more onto his shoulder. When others were gone, the school grounds definitely felt weirder....eerier, and it was something that he really wasn't comfortable with. Slipping through the gates, he looks back at the school, when he was sure that he could hear crying. It was faint, but he was sure that it was there. Shaking his head a bit, he turns towards the road, and begins to walk in the direction of the city, where he would get some ramen, grab something for his sister, and then head home.

Kohaku sighed as she set down the large stack of paperwork on the large desk in front of her. "Another beautiful day for doing paperwork." She muttered. This was a lighter stack than usual, but after the peculiar death at the opening ceremony, Kohaku couldn't get a wink of sleep. With a huff, she sat down in the (very) comfortable chair behind the desk facing the very gloomy door of the student council room. She leaned down and picked up the first few pages. Culture festival plans... expenses... useless words. Kohaku set down the papers and leaned back in her chair, staring at the blank ceiling. "Soccer practice just finished!" She quietly singsonged. This was her normal routine though, especially announcing when all the clubs started and ended. The absences of other members were not, however. The vice president, treasurer, and secretary have all been sick for the past week (although they are all siblings.) So it has been pretty lonely in the Hametsu no Heya (aka The Doom Room).

It was later that afternoon as Kumiko walked through Shibuya on an evening walk to clear her head. Her parents had agreed that it was okay for her to walk around to clear herself of what had happened that day during dinner. It was hard to tell her parents everything as there were things that she did not want to talk about. But she forced herself so that she would not stress about it later. During her walk, Kumiko was able to stop by a few shops to walk around and see the new items for Fall that were coming out. She even stopped by the art store to pick up some new supplies for her Princess Serenity drawing that she was working on and a new binder to put her drawings in with some sheet protectors. She even managed to pick up some new markers as well.
Kumiko finally had a moment to sit down as she ate a strawberry ice cream cone as the sun finally disappeared behind one of the buildings in front of her. It felt nice to be out of her school uniform and in a cute dark blue top and high-waisted black skirt. She even through on some black flats since she would be walking for a while. As she sat down, she wondered what Ryo was up to. Then a moment later, she blushed as she realized that she was thinking about him.

Gripping the handle of the plastic bag, Ryo walks down the empty streets, lit up only by street signs. It was pretty much sunset at this point, but he had already eaten his dinner. The pork ramen with miso, enoki mushrooms, bok choy, boiled egg, seaweed, and the fish cake, was one of his favorite dishes. He loved to eat, especially when it came to Japanese food. He had also picked up something for his sister, since she was probably just getting home from clarinet practice. He had put off the eerie sounds back at school, in the back of his mind. It had made the hairs on the back of his neck, stand up on end, and some mild goosebumps to come on his skin, but he wasn't going to think about that.
Walking up to the house, he opens the door, stepping inside. "Konban wa." He says, slipping off his shoes, exchanging them for house slippers, before walking into the kitchen. Looking over at the table, he could see his sister sitting at the table. "Konban wa." He repeats, setting the bag on the table, before pulling out the chair, and sitting down. He watches as his sister sets down her book and looks over at him. "Oniisan. Konban wa." She says, taking the bag of food, and bringing it closer to her. "How was your practice?" He asks. He had made sure to get her, her favorite ramen, with a lychee soda. "It went well. We should be ready for our first performance. Are you going to come?" She asks. "Of course, I am. I would never miss my sister's performance. Especially when she's going to have a solo in it." He says, reaching over, ruffling his sister's hair, lightly, before returning his hand to the table, so that she could eat in peace.

After getting through a sizable amount of the paperwork (The sun had barely descended below the horizon), Kohaku got up from her chair and snatched her bag from the desk. Finally done! She thought with satisfaction. "Now for a snack." She said while pulling a piece of licorice out of a small bag and popping the end of it in her mouth. Kohaku pranced to the door and pulled it open, revealing a narrow hall. She sprinted out the door and down three flights of stairs to the ground floor. When she had grabbed her shoes, Kohaku stepped outside, pulled her bike out of the bike rack, and sped away from the school. As she pedaled through Shibuya, Kohaku thought she saw Tanakawa-san sitting on a storefront patio. She had noticed her a lot more lately. Kohaku had seen Tanakawa-san chatting with some of her old friends that Kohaku hadn't spoken with in ages. Maybe it was the obsession with the Opening Ceremony Incident that had drawn Kohaku away from her friends. Yet somehow, she had gained interest in Kumiko lately. She had been friendly with one of the school's soccer players. But why did that matter? She should just leave everyone's business alone.

Looking up from her ice cream, Kumiko swore that she recognized the school's president, Kohaku riding by. Kumiko was not sure if Kohaku even recognized her and shrugged as she returned back to her ice cream. Once it she was finished with her ice cream cone, she put the paper that was around the cone in the trash, then headed in the direction that Kohaku had headed in. It did not matter to her if they met up or not. Her phone buzzed as her father messaged her to check in on her.
Message me when you are on your way home. I know you need time to get over what happened today. Just do not stay out too late. <3 Dad.
Kumiko quickly messaged back letting him know that she would be home soon. She just wanted to check out one more store before catching the train home.

Shutting the door to his room, Ryo looks over at his bed, chuckling just a bit, when he sees his dog, Ren, lying on the bed, seemingly asleep in a little ball. It had been a long day for him and he really just wanted to turn in for the night. But, of course, his teachers just had to pile on some more homework for him. Because this was his last year at the school, homework was piling up, and he had to make preparations for testing, so that he could move to the next grade. Setting his book bag down on the floor, next to his desk, Ryo pulls out his chair, and reaches for his bag, pulling out a notebook, a couple of pencils, and his textbook. Running a hand through his hair, he opens up both his textbook and notebook, so that he could continue from where he had left off. He had gotten through more than half, but he had saved the more difficult problems for now.

Getting off the train at Shibuya Station, Kumiko makes her 8 minute walk back home to her apartment building. It was just after dark as Kumiko opened the door to the building and walked into the concierge part of the building. As she was about to walk into the elevator, Kumiko's father walked off.
"Dad? Where are you going?" Kumiko asked as her father stopped in front of her.
"I have an emergency at the hospital with one of my patients. I need to go check on them to see if they need surgery," Akira announced as he kissed Kumiko on the top of the head. "Your mother is upstairs. Ms. Hanada is visiting her for a little bit."
"Okay, dad. See you later," Kumiko announced as she entered the elevator and pressed the button for the 24th floor. It did not take long for the elevator to arrive to her floor. She found her apartment quickly and opened the door. Taking her shoes off in the hallway, she put on her slippers. "I'm home!" She then headed into the living room where her mother and Ms. Hanada were sitting chatting about some gossip.
"Oh, I am glad you are home. Your father had to leave for an emergency at the hospital. Ms. Hanada brought over some cookies that she made. Would you like one?" Suki Takanawa asked as she stood up from the couch.
"Thank you, but I think I need to get started on some homework before I go to bed. It was nice seeing you, Ms. Hanada," Kumiko announced with a bow and then headed to her room. Her cat, Haku looked up as Kumiko walked in. The black cat stretched for a moment and then hopped off the bed and up onto the desk ask Kumiko set her bags on the ground. "Haku, I missed you on my walk. Were you a good boy while i was out?"
Haku meowed and then curled up into a ball as Kumiko sat down at her desk and began to do her homework.

Shutting his notebook and shoving it back into his bag, Ryo gets up from the chair, and walks over to his bed. Lying down on it, he grabs his spare headphones, which were sitting on his bedside table, sticking one end into the bottom of his phone, and the earbuds into his ears. Lying back on the pillow, he selects a playlist, so that he could listen to some music, before he needed to get ready for bed. He was always the type of person to go to bed early, simply because he needed to wake up early. He wasn't the first to arrive at the soccer fields, but he still woke up early, because he pretty much went by foot. It wasn't too far of a walk, and he could technically take the bus, but he preferred to exercise, and it was a good way to prepare himself for soccer practice. Placing one hand on his stomach and the other behind his head, he lets his eyes close, so that he could focus on the music. He could feel Ren curl up beside him, pressing as close to him, as he could. He definitely had a strong connection with his dog, and he was looking forward to the weekend, since he was planning to take him down to the dog park for a bit, to exercise, and socialize with the other dogs.
