Froedi thought a moment, there was a lot they had to discuss but most of it had to wait until closer to the time or the appointed day itself, ''I believe for the moment that is all,'' Froedi answered.

Vanorr dipped his head "I agree, I see nothing more that has need for discussion at this time" he agreed, then looked over at Vaskra and Alistra "Perhaps you four would appreciate some time to speak with each other?" he suggested, glancing at Alpha Froedi to see if he approved of this.
Alistra perked up at the suggestion, taking a quick look over at Enilair and the older wolf again. She certainly was curious about both wolves, and eager to hear what life was like for the apprentice. Vaskra's eyes strayed to the older wolf as she awaited Alpha Froedi's thoughts on this, her eyes expressionless for the moment.

Enilair's ears perked at this suggestion, he really wanted to meet the other wolf. Grthmé looked as if he did not hear.
Alpha Froedi wholly agreed to this, ''yes it is a good idea, if these four are going to work together then they need to know at least a little of each other,'' he answered nodding.

Vanorr smiled broadly at this "Well then" he said, glancing at his two wolves "How about you four stay here and have a quick chat, and Alpha Froedi and I will go and catch up with a quick walk" he suggested, getting to his paws.

Alpha Froedi stood and smiled at his old friend, he was hoping they would get a chance to speak in private.
As the two alphas moved off into the forest Enilair could not hold himself back, ''hi, I'm Enilair,'' he said tail moving excitedly now that he was finally given a chance to talk to the she-wolf. Grthmé turned his lone eye toward Vaskra finally giving her some of his attention.

Alistra turned excitedly to the apprentice as the two Alpha's moved off, and was slightly surprised as the previously calm looking apprentice burst out with excitement. She couldn't help the responsive grin that flashed onto her muzzle. "I'm Alistra" she replied adding a slight dip of her head, then paused uncertainly, glancing over at her mentor, but she seemed to not be looking at the two of them. "So, you're an apprentice... is he your mentor?" she asked curiously, glancing at the older scarred wolf, then back to Enilair.
Vaskra smiled lightly at the scarred wolf. "Well... and here I thought our missions together were over" she said in a calm tone that had just the slightest hint of joking.

Enilair mirrored her smile then followed her gaze, ''for now yes, but my real mentor is back home. What's it like where you live,'' he asked curiously?
Grthmé's face remained expressionless as he answered Vaskra, ''I thought so too.'' Finally allowing a slight grin to enter his stoic features, ''it will be good working with you again.''

Alistra looked curious at this.. two mentors? Who needed two mentors? But at his question her attention was swiftly diverted. "Oh it's fun! Well there aren't very many wolves my age, but there's plenty of training to keep me busy! I expect general daily life is probably the same as for you guys, training, swimming, eating, scouting, patroling" she rattled off, blatantly assuming that life was the same for all clans.
Vaskra's eyes twinkled slightly as Grthmé's stone visage cracked slightly. "It will be" she agreed, then gave a low chuckle "Neither of us are quite as young as we were in those times though" but quickly added, so as not to offend her old partner "Although ten elves still certainly won't be an issue for us two. And our apprentices. Speaking of which... I didn't know you'd taken on an apprentice!" she said in slight surprise, glancing over to the young wolf who was eagerly speaking with her own apprentice.

Enilair cocked his head to the side slightly, ''well no, not exactly. It's more Geography lessons, history, battle tactics, genealogies, and that sort of thing. Only when I started training with Grthmé did I get more physical training.
Grthmé looked at Enilair, ''lets just say the pup was sort of thrust upon me,'' he answered, ''and you, that female looks like a pawful.''

Alistra narrowed her eyes slightly, trying to imagine such a life "Wow that must be boring" she said in a forthright manner, then quickly added "Although the battle tactics sounds neat" But that was definitely the only thing that sounded at all fun. "Oh.. when did you start training with him?" she asked curiously, wondering how much he would know of stealth and speed.
A look of understanding dawned on Vaskra's face "Ah so he hasn't been your apprentice until the High Council then?" she asked, although she knew it was true. Wow, what a weight.. to have an apprentice thrust upon you who had, to her trained eye, virtually no training in the physical realm. At Grthmé's next words she chuckled again quietly "Ah, she is, she is. But she's a swift learner, if you can get it into her head long enough for her to learn it" she added with a slightly rueful look. "But her parents trained her well from a young age, and when I got her she already knew of many maneuvers. She also has quite a lot of speed for not being related to the Kvikr clan. Let's just say she's certainly her mother's daughter, that mostly sums it up" she added with a twinkle in her eyes.

''Not really,'' Elilair answered in a slightly offended manner. I started with Grthmé yesterday,'' he answered, ''I suppose you have been training with her for quite some time,'' he asked indicating the older female wolf at Alistra's side.
''I had the pleasure of meeting her mother at the council,'' he chuckled slightly, ''I see what you mean, but your apprentice seems like a good wolf, and will make a excellent warrior someday, as for him,'' Grthmé said indicating Enilair, ''the pup knows nothing, I don't know how I am to get him prepared in three days time.''

Alistra snorted slightly at his denial of the learning being boring. Well to each their own, she supposed. "Oh yes, she's been my mentor almost before I was allowed to have a mentor!" she said quickly "My mother and father are often away on scouting trips and the like, and she'd pop in and give me some quick obstacle runs to do and fun stuff like that" she said with a grin. Suddenly she changed it back to him "So have you never even done vertical tree jumps?" she questioned, as if this were something that every single wolf should know.
Vaskra smiled "Ah yes, she will... she's already uncannily good at camouflage, although I've taken pains to not let her known that... she has quite the young ego" she said with a shake of her head. "Ah, that's what I thought" she said, glancing at the mentioned young wolf. "I"m sure with you as his mentor you'll be able to whip him into shape... after all all he really needs for this is speed and stealth." she said sensibly, then let out another rueful low laugh "And here I am, with my main worry about this mission being Alistra attempting to take on all the elves by herself. She would you know" she added with a glance at the battle scarred wolf.

Vertical- tree- and jumps, Enilair was struggling to see how those three words would go together, he decided to give up on it entirely, ''no, I haven't,'' he answered. ''Wait did you say your parents are scouts? so are mine!''
''Hopefully,'' Grthmé answered rather doubtfully, ''I guess we'll see.'' He chuckled slightly, at Vaskra's comment about Alistra, ''you know, I actually believe that.''

Alistra blinked at this. Not even heard of vertical tree jumps? Wow he definitely wasn't a warrior at all. She perked up again at his revelation. "I wonder if they know each other!" she said, then looked curious "Wait, if they're scouts, why aren't you training to be one?"
Vaskra gave another snort then glanced over at the two apprentices talking and smiled "This will be good for her, to realize that not all wolves are dedicated to battle." she said in a quiet voice.
