A Trios Journey (private rp with wingfeather and tenebria)

Sugar sighed but nodded, as she got to her feet and trotted over to her friends. "I suppose" she said. "but playing in the stream, was defiantly fun" she admitted, as she looked around. "so......" she said. "we're going to sleep in the forest tonight?" she asked as the trio began walking again. Sugar was in the middle of her two friends as they made their way for the forest that was in front of them

Galmúr nodded to Artemis, then glanced over at Sugar. "It was" he agreed, then frowned, staring hard at the distant tree line "I believe so, but it depends on how much ground we cover" he said, the sun glinting off his freshly washed golden coat as he moved into an easy, mile-eating trot.

Artemis matched Glamour's trot, ''do any of you have funny or entertaining memories from when you were younger,'' she asked, trying to make time pass quicker.

Sugar thought for a second. "well there was this one time when..." she stopped. "wait, I got in trouble for that, never mind" she said, as she thought for a few more seconds. "there was this one time when I chased my mother around and around until she told me I had to take a nap" Sugar said, remembering how annoyed her mother got with her that day

Galmúr's ears flattened slightly at Artemis's question, and he remained silent as he listened to Sugar. He couldn't help the slight smile crossing his face though at her small memory. Slowly, he spoke, keeping his eyes forward "There isn't much that you two don't already know, I don't remember a lot of my first month, and my second month was during winter, so we didn't usually have time for play. Although..." he paused, a slight smile surfacing again. "I do remember one thing" he said "It was the middle of winter, and I woke up to a giant snowfall. I had never seen a snowfall as big as that one, and I was all excited to play in the snow. As soon as I could I decided to jump right into the snow. What I didn't realize, was where I was jumping was actually an old dried up riverbed, and the snow was about twice as deep there than anywhere else. But I hopped right in... and sank quite a good many feet down. Of course it wasn't funny at the time, it was rather panicking. But then a passing herd stallion heard my whinnies and came and dug me out" he chuckled, shaking his head. "I never did trust a snowbank after that, unless I was sure of the layout of the land" he said, a light grin on his face as he remembered.

Artemis laughed at her friends' stories, ''I remember that that time Galmúr we became friends soon after, and not too long later we met you, Sugar.'' She started thinking hard of a memory to share with her friends. ''There was a time when my older brother and I went down to the river, he was maybe around three years old, I really wanted to swim but I could not bring myself to enter the water. So there I was right up on the edge of he bank willing myself to enter the cold water, quite suddenly I was in it. I began thrashing around and squealing for help, I felt like I was going to drown. But quickly I found my feet and found myself in water knee deep, and a brother laughing at me from the bank. Of course after that I began splashing him and pretty soon both of us were soaking.'' Artemis smiled to herself at the memory, ''ever since it has been difficult to refuse jumping into any water.''

"I never had any siblings" Sugar said with a sad sigh. "but when I met you guys, you became my siblings!" she said, as she hugged both her friends hard as they kept walking

Galmúr chuckled at Artemis's memory. "I remember you telling me about then when you got back" he said with a grin, then glanced over to Sugar. "I understand how you feel Sugar, neither did I" he said softly, then hugged her and Artemis with a fond smile.

Artemis hugged her friends warmly, ''you know, in some ways you two are pretty lucky, Ananis was a pest most of the time,'' she said grinning.

Sugar laughed. "well like I said, I have you two" she said with another laugh as she pressed against her friends

Galmúr chuckled again "I'm sure siblings are overrated" he agreed. He added after a few moments, "We really should keep moving though", glancing towards the tree line.

Artemis switched into a faster canter, squinting at the lowering sun.

[Abbster]

The sun blazed into Sugar's eyes and she had to squint. "are we almost there?" she called. "I can't see anything!!" she said, as she pushed forward beside her friends. She continued squinting until the forest finally came into view. "thank goodness" she whispered as she slowed

Galmúr quickened his pace, his hooves pounding the eart as the sun glinted brightly on his right side. He finally had to squint slightly to be able to cut through the glare, then slowed as the forest loomed closer. "We made good time!" he said in surprise, eager to get into the shelter of the forest and begin finding somewhere to spend the night, and make future plans.

''That went by quickly,'' Artemis said tossing her long mane, ''how deep in do we plan on traveling?''
