Sugar snorted and looked up at Galmur. "Just because you're worried about me, doesn't mean you have the right to yell at me! I love Gus, I want to talk to him, I don't care if that yearling thinks he's better than me!" Sugar said, standing up. "I want to talk to Gus, and honestly I don't care what any of you say" she turned to Nacho. "please Nacho, may I talk to Gus?" she asked

Galmúr listened very carefully to Nacho "Thank you Nacho, we will remember your advice" he said gravely, knowing how important any ounce of information would be. At Sugar's voice again he looked over "I'm sorry Sugar, you're right" he said in an apologetic tone "I know you don't want to listen, but you can't! and right now that yearling" he ground his teeth slightly, hating to say the words "He has every right to push anyone away from his herd. After all.. I think he's the lead mare's son. So please don't challenge him, and don't get Gus into bigger trouble!" he pleaded, glancing to Artemis and Nacho for help.

Nacho looked at Sugar apologetically, ''Sugar I know ye want to visit with hi' and I think ye two should become friends, but Stormflash can hurt ye if ye break the laws a second time, plus Gus's parents might think you unworthy of their son if you disobey their herds rules.''

Sugar sighed but nodded. "ok" She said, as she lay down once more and glanced across the herd at Gus, she blushed and glanced down as she saw Stormflash glaring at her. She scooted closer to Galmur and pressed herself close to him. "I'm scared of that yearling" she whispered to him.

Galmúr gave a slightly relieved sigh and a thankful nod to Nacho as Sugar lay down. He nuzzled her as she scooched close to his legs. "Honestly I don't blame you" he said, looking over and pinning his ears at the silver yearling. "Even though he must be my first cousin" he added with a regretfulness. He didn't like the manner the yearling seemed to treat the herd... almost as if it were already his, although he was only a yearling.

Nacho heard Sugar's fear and spoke to her, '' 'e's no one to fear, 'e just obsesses over protecting 'is hear, once ye join 'e'll protect ye too.'' He noticed Galmúrls digested expression, ''Aye Gold One 'e is yer relation.''

Galmúr's ears remained pinned, but he did feel a very slight twinge of admiration for the colt, imagining that he must feel the same way about his herd as he himself did about the two fillies. At Sugar's words he smiled at her "Well now, you have to admit that we only were on our own for two days" he pointed out, then glanced at the sun. "Nacho, how long do we have do you think?" he questioned, shifting his hooves slightly in eagerness. The challenge being right in front of them, he wanted to get started as quickly as possible, his nerves beginning to make him antsy.

''Pretty soon,'' Nacho answered, ''ye would 'ave 'ad a longer rest had ye walked faster earlier today,'' he teased, ''oh look here comes one 'o Swan's horses to tell ye its time to begin!''

Sugar started trembling nervously, but she stood up anyway and looked over at her friends. "I don't think I can do this" she whispered to her friends, as her ears went flat against her head in nervousness. "I don't think I'm gonna get in" she added in a low mumble, pressing herself close to Artemis for comfort.

Galmúr snorted slightly at the donkey's comment, but refrained from answering as he turned to meet the serious horse that walked up to them. He heard Sugar mumbling behind him, his ears flicking slightly, but he remained focused on the messenger. "We are ready" he spoke swiftly, restraining himself from pawing the earth as his nerves began strumming excitedly.

Sugar watched as both her friends started to follow the horse...but she remained back. She looked around and saw Gus watching her. He nodded, as if to say, you can do this. Sugar took another shaky breath before following after her friends. She caught up to them and pressed close to Galmur. "I'm scared" She whispered to him. She closed her eyes and opened them again. "you got this sugar" Sugar said to herself as she followed her friends

Galmúr swiftly nodded and followed the horse, glancing over as Sugar trotted up to him and pressed against him. "Nothing to be scared of, just think of it as a fun jaunt with your two best friends" he said with a comforting smile, although his eyes were flashing with excited fire. He was so ready for this.

Artemis was beginning to feel the excitement of a challenge charging through her veins, but quickly she took control of herself again before she started prancing, she glanced over at, Galmúr and Sugar with a defiant gleam in her eye.
