A Trios Journey (private rp with wingfeather and tenebria)

Sugar shook her head. "No, thanks" she said. "You can go" she said, as she stepped back, and waited for Artemis to go. Sugar's legs were trembling again, as she stared at the thorns that loomed in front of her.

Galmúr's legs were beginning to ache slightly at the amount of power and momentum it took to keep up the long jumps with no rest, but finally, he could see the last two approaching. Thrusting with sudden power he flew over one, then faced the last, his front hooves sliding slightly in the grass underhoof, then rising up as his back hooves landed and he propelled himself over, barely making the jump, the last thorns on the edge scraping down his back legs as he grunted in pain. He landed heavily, and almost crumpled to his knees before regaining his hooves. His breathing was heavy as he stood, the scratches on his legs beginning to sting painfully. After a few moments he heard hoofbeats, and quickly looked up to watch the fillies traverse the foreboding foliage.

Artemis took a deep breath then gathered her legs beneath her and took her first leap, landing squarely into the first clearing, then jumped into the second with little mishap, when she took off for her third she did not notice that her tail became snagged, but keeping a level head she continued and landed into the third clearing few a few hairs from her tail missing.

Sugar stood there, trembling as Artemis cleared the first three. She stood in fear for a moment, before gathering momentum, and soring over the first set of vines. She landed and took off, feeling some vines scratch her back legs as she soared over the second jump. Sugar gasped and groaned in pain as she jumped over the third set of vines, more vines scraping her legs and sides now. By the time she had finished the 5 jumps, she had been scraped, about 10 times. Her sides and Legs were covered with blood. Sugar's sides heaved as she fell to the ground

Galmúr watched, his breathing heavy as he willed the two fillies to be strong. Each time he saw a new scratch appear on one of them he winced himself, knowing the pain they were feeling. "Come on... you can do it... just a few more" he murmured unconsciously, his eyes trained on the black friesian who was first nearing the end of the jumps, Sugar a few jumps behind her.

(i would've done him reacting to sugar, but since Artemis has to reach the end first i can't quite haha)

Artemis cleared the last few painful jumps without any major injuries except for the scratches on her legs. When she reached the end she had to stand still for a while to calm her nerves. When she sufficiently calmed herself she turned and, with sympathetic eyes, watched as Sugar cleared her last jump. When Sugar collapsed on the floor Artemis bent over her, her voice filled with concern, ''you ok Sugar?''

Sugar nodded. "yea.." she said. "those thorns really got me though" she said, as she tried to stand. "I'll be ok" she said, standing up. "Where to next?" her shaky voice asked, as she looked around. "It does hurt, yes, but we need to keep going, if we want to make it into this herd.." she said, her eyes sparkling slightly. "I believe in us!" Sugar exclaimed. "How about you two, are you ok?" she asked her friends, as her legs began to sting

Galmúr quickly moved to Artemis's side to make sure she was ok, then turned and winced as he saw Sugar throw herself over the last jump and collapse. "Oh Sugar.." he said quickly, his eyes looking over her wounds. "Just a few scratches myself.. but you look pretty bad" he said worriedly. Then he reluctantly looked up to the sun and sighed. "But you're right... we do have to keep moving" he said slowly.

''I'm fine,'' Artemis answered, ''glad you're bearing it well though Sugar, you are very brave.'' Glancing around a little before answering Sugar's next question, ''I guess forward, what do you say Galmú?''

[Abbster]

Sugar smiled and nuzzled her friend. "Thanks Artemis" She said, with another smile. "I agree with you Artemis, lets keep going straight" she said, as she winced in pain from the scratches. "I hope theres water near by, I need to clean these scratches" she said

Galmúr smiled and nodded in agreement with Artemis's words, then glanced around them. "wait a second" he said, scanning the trees before smiling. "There we go!! straight ahead, just like you said" he admitted, then swiftly began to trot. "Water would certainly be nice" he agreed, his few scratches stinging slightly.

''So what do you think the next surprise will be,'' Artemis asked as she trotted beside her friends.

[Abbster]

“Not sure” sugar said as they trotted on. Suddenly, they came to a big lake. “Water!” She squealed. “Wait, is this the next test?” She asked, looking around and seeing a hoof print. “I think it is..”

Galmúr shrugged slightly "I'm not sure" he said, caution in his tone, where before there had been fire and excitement. He had quickly learned that these tests were not mere games. A few minutes later he chuckled at the sight of water through the trees. "Well look at that Sugar, you get your wish!" he said, then glanced over at the hoof print she showed him. "Hmmm.. I don't see how a lake is a test though..." he said doubtfully, glancing over to the far shore. "But you're right, it's definitely here for a reason, and I can see a stamped out trail on the other side. At least it's not that far of a swim" he said, then glanced to Artemis. "Well... this is your element, do you want to lead the way?" he asked, slightly teasingly.

Artemis looked at the water with excitement in her eyes, at Galmúr's question she made a mock bow to him, ''with pleasure,'' she answered, and without further ado she plunged into the cold water.
