(Galmúr remains sleeping deeply, snoring at slight intervals during the night)

Artemis woke slightly at Sugar's shifting, but fell back asleep once she settled again.

[Abbster]

(sugar is still sleeping peacefully)

Galmúr woke with a sudden start the next morning, jerking his head up and looking around, blinking in the hazy morning mist. It was still very dark, and at least an hour before sunrise. He looked around warily, wondering why he had awoken, and then trying to figure out if he should just stay up, and waste an hour of rest, or go back to sleep and risk sleeping in. After a few moments of gazing around the very silent forest, he chose the latter and lay his head down, swirly falling back to sleep.

The mist was just beginning to dissipate when Artemis raised her head. She stood up carefully and walked to where Galmúr still lay asleep and bumped him with her nose, ''Galmúr, the suns rising, wake up.''

[Abbster]

Sugar shifted a bit when she felt Artemis move. Her eyes opened and she blinked in the morning sun. "can I go back to the herd today?" she asked suddenly, looking around and blinking away sleep from her eyes once more

Galmúr snorted, shifting, then lifted his head, blinking tiredly and glancing around before yawning. “Thanks Artemis” he said with another yawn, getting to his hooves. He looked over in surprise as Sugar spoke, “I definitely think you can come back to the herd! I know Cinnamon will welcome you back, and maybe if you respectfully explain what happened, she’ll believe you. I have a feeling that most horses in this herd already know how Stormflash can be” he said reassuringly.

''I think so too,'' Artemis said trotting back to Sugar and giving her a nuzzle.

[Abbster]

Sugar smiled big. "can you guys...well maybe just Artemis since you need to get going. Artemis, can you come back with me?" she asked her friend

Galmúr gave a rueful smile at Sugar's comment, then nodded "Yeah, I really do need to get going, I have a LOT of training to get done before the sparring match in a few days!" he said, excitement flashing through his eyes at the thought.

Artemis smiled at Sugar, ''of course. I'd be glad to. I hope you have a good day Galmúr,'' Artemis said.

[Abbster]

Sugar smiled and then hugged Galmur. "don't get hurt" she said jokingly as she and Artemis began walking back towards Cinnamon...Sugar shifting nervously with every step. "Artemis....what if Cinnamon doesn't welcome me glad?" Sugar suddenly asked

Galmúr gave a rueful smile in response to the dappled filly's joke. Unfortunately with his mentor, getting hurt was an actual possibility. The memory of the thundering hooves crashing right behind his heels from yesterday made his muscles ache slightly in memory. And that had only been his third day of training. He nodded to them both "I hope you both have good days too!! We'll have to meet up and chat about it later, maybe around high sun? it seems to be the time when everyone rests and grazes" he said hopefully, realizing he hadn't had a chance to tell either of the fillies about his day at all, or hear about Artemis's. Then he turned and swiftly began cantering through the woods, racing against the sun to reach the warrior's grazing area.

''I think I can make that,'' Artemis called as she trotted away with Sugar. They both walked toward the herd in silence. Artemis could tell something was bothering her friend, but decided to wait until Sugar was ready to tell her. Her brow furrowed at Sugar's question, ''why wouldn't she be?''

[Abbster]

Sugar sighed. “Because sh…she didn’t believe me when I tried to tell her the truth” Sugar said, leaning against her friend. “What if…what if she tells me to stay in the forest?”
