Galmúr moved swiftly alongside his mentor as they emerged from the forest, the sun lighting up the dewy grass, and the dark forms of the herd as they began to awake.

Sugar blinked. “What? Really? Is it good?” She asked, bouncing excitedly a bit.

As they approached the herd, the gray stallion glanced down at the buckskin, who had slowed with a thoughtful look on his face. Galmúr felt his mentors eyes on him and glanced up, looking slightly embarrassed. "Would it be possible for me to go see my friends? I want to know how their days went" he asked hesitantly. His mentor frowned slightly, then glanced back at the herd. He did have to go report to Lead Mare Swan... and the colt did deserve some time with his friends he supposed. He looked down and gave a slight nod "You may, I will come get you when I have completed my report to the Lead Mare" he agreed. Galmúr's eyes brightened and he smiled "Thank you, Lorcán" he said with a dip of his head, and then at his mentor's gesture he took off at a swift canter into the herd to find his two friends. The gray stallion watched for a few moments, then headed off to search for his Lead Mare.

Sugars eyes glowed, and she danced around Artemis. “Wait!” She said suddenly. “Did he tell you he liked me?” She asked, eyes glowing again.

Galmúr trotted through the herd, sticking more on the outskirts as he nodded to a few friendly faces, but his eyes were trained for a glimpse of the flash of a midnight coat, or the glint of a dapple gray.

Artemis laughed, ''you'll see,'' she said mysteriously. She glanced around suddenly wondering if Galmúr was going to show up.

Sugar sighed but nodded, and a few moments later, she saw Galmur trotting towards them. "Galmur!!" Sugar squealed, racing towards him. "Guess what! Artemis says Gus has something to tell me!!" She said, eyes glowing. "Do you know what it is?" She asked, as they trotted back to Artemis.

Galmúr sped up his pace as he saw a flash of midnight black, and then he could make out the two figures of his friends. He neighed in greeting, cantering up to them before sliding to a swift warriors halt. Taking a step forward he shook out his mane and grinned at Sugar who'd raced up to him, tilting his head with a bemused expression and glancing at Artemis, moving back over to her with the dapple filly beside him. "Well that's certainly exciting, but i'm afraid I really don't know" he said with an apologetic smile. "So besides this Gus thing, how was yesterday for you both?" he inquired curiously.

Artemis smiled when she saw the familiar buckskin coat, she noted the different way Galmúr now carried himself ever since he started warrior training. She winked back at him in response to his glance. When he mentioned yesterday Artemis pranced in place, ''it was awesome,'' she said eyes glowing, ''I wish I could do that every night, we also bumped into Adira and her apprentice,'' she said with a glance at Galmúr, ''we also scented the stallions but didn't get to catch sight of them. What about you guys?''

"Mine was boring" Sugar said with a laugh. "But I still got to learn a BUNCH of new stuff!" She said, still eager to know what Gus had to say. "Do you think Gus likes me??" She blurted out

Galmúr grinned again at Artemis's eager movements and tone, seeing how her natural fire was glowing even brighter in her eyes. The life of a scout certainly seemed to be made for her then! He had to laugh slightly at her eagerness for a night patrol, but his amusement was swept away in a confusion of emotions as she mentioned Adira... and Sabine. His ears pinned and he felt himself blushing furiously, although he had no clue why. And that deep feeling of guilt stuck in his chest. He really needed to figure out what it was he'd said wrong... he had to fix things with her. His thoughts were turned as he heard Sugar, smiling slightly. "Well that sounds exciting!! You're amazing and memorizing and learning all that stuff so fast!" he complimented with a grin. At her question he laughed outright. "Don't ask me! I'm just the extra in this conversation" he said with a chuckle, then answered Artemis's question he faintly remembered her asking. "My day was... taxing, but really really really good. I got a lot of sparring training in, as well as did some light sparring with Charger! I really think i'll be ready for the Sparring Match day when it comes!" he said, pawing the earth slightly in excitement as he tossed his mane again. "And the night patrol was really really neat. So different to be up and walking about at night! But nothing too exciting happened, we did scent the stallions, but it seemed they were just sticking in one place for the night" he said with a slight shrug.

''I agree with him,'' Artemis said, ''you certainly have been learning A LOT since we came here.'' At Sugar's question Artemis grinned, ''who should I know,'' she asked innocently. She turned back to Galmúr, ''sparring? That does sound like fun, it also sounds like something that you would really enjoy,'' she said with a laugh, ''and I for one am glad that the rogues are staying put. Maybe all this worry has been for nothing,'' she said as an afterthought, though not believing it herself.

Sugar sighed. "Well I suppose you're right" She said. "Isn't sparring dangerous?" She asked Galmur suddenly. "I don't want to patch up wounds you get from this sparring thing Galmur" Sugar said to him, as she heard hoof beats. Her eyes glowed and she looked down at the ground as Gus came cantering up to the three friends. "good morning" Gus said. "Could I uh.." he stuttered. "Can I talk to Sugar for a second?" He asked. Sugar looked at her friends and then back down at the ground as she blushed hard and she tried to hide her glowing eyes.
