A Trios Journey (private rp with wingfeather and tenebria)

Galmúr grinned at Artemis and nodded. "It's definitely a lot of fun, but also very hard. And i've only done it with Charger, so I can't imagine having to do it against the two other apprentices too!" he said, a look of slight apprehension crossing his face, taking care not to mention the other two names. He didn't feel at all secure about sparring a filly... but also was generally beginning to get a sort of scared feeling around the fiery apprentice. And Stormflash... well he couldn't trust himself to not draw blood there. He knew that. At Artemis's comment about the stallions he shook his head, worry crossing his face. "I don't trust them" he said flatly, then glanced over to Sugar and smiled gently "Oh no worries, the rules are no drawing blood, although i'm sure i'll be sore afterwards" he said with a bit of ruefulness in his tone. Suddenly he heard hoofbeats and looked over to see Gus cantering up to them. He raised an eye slightly, glancing over at Sugar and shrugging. "Sure" he said, glancing at Artemis who certainly knew more than she was saying about all this.

Artemis saw his change in expression but chose not to say anything. She turned at the sound of eager hoofbeats and saw Gus making his way toward them, she smiled, ''of course, we'll leave you guys alone.'' Once they were away Artemis spoke again, ''I didn't tell you guys that we also met Gus in the forest, told me liked Sugar. I advised him to tell that to her,'' she looked back the two, ''he certainly acted upon it quickly,'' she finished laughingly.

Gus pawed at the ground nervously when the two left. "H...Hi Sugar" He said. "Hi" Sugar said, trying to hide the gleaming in her eyes. "H...how are you?" He asked. "G...Good" Sugar said, nodding. "t...thats good" Gus said. "Sugar, theres something I've been meaning to tell you" Gus said pawing at the ground again. Sugar blinked. "Theres something I've been meaning to tell you!" Sugar said, excitedly. "You go first" Gus said. "No you" Sugar said. "ok...Sugar I like you" Gus said. Sugar's eyes grew wide. "You...you like me?" Sugar asked. Gus nodded. "I like you Gus!" Sugar said. Gus smiled. "Well, I'll see you later" He said, turning and cantering away. Sugar stood there, her eyes gleaming again. "ARTEMIS! GALMUR!!" Sugar neighed, galloping towards them.

Galmúr snorted in muffled amusement then followed Artemis away, watching the two talk then glancing back to the Friesian. "I thought as much!" he said with a laugh. "Well I'm glad for her" he said with a smile, looking over as the two talked. It had hardly been a few minutes when the yearling spun and cantered off. He frowned slightly. Well that was abrupt. A smile returned to his face as Sugar raced towards them. "Well i see it went well" he murmured to Artemis with amusement.

''I am to,'' she said with a smile, suddenly he turned and sped off, ''that was a little fast,'' she whispered, a look of concern crossed her face but was soon replaced with a grin when she heard Sugar's joyful shouts, ''seems it has,'' she responded to Galmúr.

"GUS LIKES ME!!" Sugar squealed as she stopped in front of her friends. She danced around her friends with her head held high. "I've never had a horse like me like this before" Sugar said, her mind racing. "What do I do?" She asked. "Galmur you're a stallion...er a yearling stallion, what do they like?" She asked.

Galmúr did have worries immediately for his young friend... Gus had seemed altogether too casual about it, and he had left Sugar staring starry eyed after him. He just hoped their friend wasn't being misdirected. He was glad to hear Artemis agreeing with him, but he found himself smiling at Sugar's excitement. "That's so wonderful!" he said, then suddenly blushed and flattened his ears, looking befuddled. "Oh uh.. Uh... I.. I Don't know! I'm a warrior, not a scout!" he said, swiftly trying to find an escape from the uncomfortable and completely unexpected question.

''That is great Sugar,'' Artemis said happily. At her next question she stepped in quickly, ''well you should talk about things he likes, boys generally like it if you ask them about their work like scouting.''

[Abbster]

Sugar giggled a bit. "But I already know all about the scouting from you!" She pointed out. "Sorry about that question Galmur...just forget it every came up" She said, thinking for a second. "Oh! What if I tell him how great his sister's doing?" She asked

Galmúr gave a sigh of relief, then a weak grin to Sugar. "It's fine" he said, then laughed at Artemis's assumption before suddenly stopping with a mildly surprised expression. "Well actually Artemis does have a point. And I betcha, no offense meant here" he said quickly looking to Artemis, "But i betcha that since he's been doing it longer he might know some stuff about it that Artemis doesn't know" he pointed out. At her other idea he gave a nod "That could probably work" he said, a bit vaguely as he had no idea how he'd feel in that situation, since he'd never had a sibling.

''Very true, he would definitely know more than I,'' Artemis said enthusiastically, it not bothering her in the least that another yearling knew more than she, she'd get there soon, Artemis knew that, ''and he would most likely appreciate hearing about his sister as well.''

[Abbster]

Sugar smiled eagerly. "OK!" She said. "I think I'll try and talk to him about his sister first, and then go from there...of course only when he's on break" Sugar added, with a hug to Artemis. "Thanks Artemis" Then she hugged Galmur. "thanks Galmur" she said. "ok, but now, I REALLY want to hear about your patrols." She said

Galmúr smiled and hugged her as well, then laughed. "There really wasn't much that happened... really. Although it sounds like more happened for you Artemis, running into the other warriors and scouts" he said, secretly hoping to hear more about a certain apprentice.

''Anytime Sugar,'' she said hugging her back, ''nothing much happened with us either, it was really dark though so we had to use our other senses to find our way through, but there was a little moonlight. We were walking forty five maybe an hour when we scented some horses up ahead, I thought it might have been the stallions but Treth told me it wasn't and when we caught up we saw it was Adira and Sabine,'' she said with another glance of Galmúr, ''and while Treth and Adria were making plans Gus came up, and then we had to continue. After that it went quietly,'' Artemis finished.

“That sounds cool!!” Sugar said, smiling. “Did you have fun?” She asked.
