Bella smiled, and licked her mate lovingly. She padded out of the den and realized rain was coming...that didn't matter to her. She just wanted to walk. When she reached the forest Bella took in a breath and smiled, when suddenly, a male dog jumped in front of her. "hi there" he said with a smirk. "uh...hi?" Bella said, looking at him. "I'm Jazz, what's your name?" he asked. "Bella" Bella said. "well, Bella" Jazz said. "its very nice to meet you, why don't we talk for a bit" he suggested. "come to my den, talk with me" he said. Bella blinked. "umh...." she stuttered. "well...you see" Bella said. "oh come on" Jazz said. "lets get you out of this rain." Bella blinked, and looked around...but she saw nothing. Bella was about to leave, when Jazz spoke again. "bella, come on" Jazz said. "Look...Jazz was it?" she asked. "I'm flattered, but...I have a mate" she said. "yea ya do" Jazz said, leaning towards her. "me" he said, licking her nose. Bella stepped back. "no...i.." she said. "come on" he said.

Aurora looked at her adopted parents and pressed close to them. "thank you" she said.

Ginger blinked and flattened her ears. "oh...well..." she said, breaking off. "I...uh....I....I need to....go...elsewhere" she said, running towards the den. She heaved a sigh when she entered, and flopped on her bed. "good going Ginger" she said to herself.

Coco nodded. "sure" she said

Thunder sighed as his mate padded out of the den, laying his head on his paws and snuggling closer to his pups as he waited. After a moment he frowned to himself. He was becoming too lax. He should've sent out a guard to accompany her. He sighed again.


Fang smiled and nuzzled her. "Of course my darling daughter" he said fondly.

Remus sighed as he watched the female run away from him. "Great Remus, scare her off right after she tells you she likes you, that's the way to get friends" he growled at himself. Rebel suddenly padded up from behind him and set beside him, staring after Ginger without speaking. Remus glared at scouting den. "I know what you're gonna say so you may as well just say it" he growled. Rebel looked over. "Hmm?? oh you mean how you just scared away the one female that'll ever like ya and now she probably hates you?" he said in an innocent tone. Remus glared at him, then his expression changed swiftly to worry. "Wait do you really think she hates me now?" he asked nervously, glancing back in her direction. Rebel sighed. "No dude, she loves you." Remus's eyes widened. "WHAT?" he said. "I thought she LIKED me!" he said in a confused voice. Rebel sighed again. "Wow you are so blind. If a female says she LIKES you, that means she LOVES you" he pointed out. Remus blinked. "OH!" he said, looking back in the direction Ginger had gone. "The question is, do you LIKE or LOVE her?" Rebel asked, then got up and trotted off. Remus's brow furrowed as he stared in Ginger's direction. Did he? He was so terrible with his own feelings, it was hard to tell!! But he did feel a wonderful excitement and openess when he saw her... could that be it?

Duke smiled and swiftly began trotting towards the Alpha's den. A moment later he popped his head in, then quickly bowed. "Pardon to bother you my Alpha" Thunder looked up, and a look of relief flashed over his face. "Oh good, it's you two!" he said as he saw Coco as well. "I will speak with you certainly about whatever it is you need, but first, I need you both to go into the woods and pick up Bella's scent. Stay out of sight if she is safe, if not, you know what to do" he said, worry in his eyes. Duke blinked. Him? Protect? He glanced to Coco, then gave a nod. "Of course my Alpha" he said, backing out of the den.

"This way Bella" Jazz said. "Thunder, help" Bella whispered as she reluctantly followed Jazz. "In through here" he said. Bella followed him again, her ears flattening more and her heart beginning to pound. "Thats it" Bella said. Jazz turned. "what is it my darling?" he asked. "DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Bella spat. "I am NOT your darling, and you are NOT my mate!" Bella said. Jazz stared at her. "oh please" he said. "everyone knows I am" he said. "WHO IS EVERYONE?" Bella demanded. Jazz looked at her. "Bella..." he said. "do you not like me?" he asked. "WE JUST MET! I told you, I HAVE a mate!" Bella said. "Please, just let me go" Bella begged. "no" Jazz growled. Bella blinked. "wh.." but before she knew it, Jazz jumped on top of her, and pinned her to the ground. He was growling angrily. "THUNDER!" Bella shrieked.

Ginger looked down at the den floor, and she heaved a sigh. "I love him.." she muttered to herself.

Coco looked at her mate. "right away, alpha" she said, padding out of his den, and racing into the woods. She picked up her lunas scent, then stopped. "darling.." she whispered. "she's not alone....get more guards now" she said, ears flattening. "you might also want to get the alpha.." she said

Remus hesitated once more, then suddenly flattened his ears at himself. This was ridiculous. If he thought that he liked her, and he knew that she liked him, what was he doing? With a determined leap forwards, he loped towards the den, suddenly bursting through the entrance. "Ginger, I like you too!" he announced.

Duke swiftly loped after his mate, scenting the air and following the Luna's scent, then skidding to a halt, eyes wide. "Keep out of sight" he said suddenly serious, licking her nose then turning and racing for the dens. As he breached the territory border her let out an enormous howl, alerting all within reach. Thunder heard the howl and his heart began to pound in fear. Duke swiftly made his way to his Alpha's den. "Alpha, there is another with her" he panted. Thunder's eyes flashed. His mate needed him. Without a word he barreled past Thunder, sweeping down the incline and racing for Fang's den. Bursting in his eyes sought out the pup. "Aurora, please go to my den and watch the pups" he said in an almost fierce tone. "Fang, Clover, come with me" he said sharply, whirling and racing back out, heading for the guards general den. Fang's eyes widened as his Alpha burst in, swiftly leaping to his paws, giving a reassuring nod to Aurora, then racing after Thunder At the entrance of the guard den, Askari leapt to her paws, trembling at the almost ferocious looking aussie that raced to her. "Askari, get Lulu and follow me now" he barked sharply, waiting for her to do so, which she did as swiftly as her trembling limbs could, and then racing forwards, his paws digging in the earth as he charged towards his mate's scent. He was coming.

Coco nodded, and she crept forward, until she found Bella. "oh Bella" she whispered. There was a big dog on top of her, and he was pinning her to the ground, Bella struggling under him...his paws at her throat.

Aurora looked up, and flattened her ears a bit. "do what he says honey" Clover said, racing out of the den. Aurora nodded swiftly, and raced to his den, pushing her way in, she calmly curled around the sleeping pups, who were waking up at all the noise. "shh" Aurora said. "its ok" she whispered.

Lulu looked up, and went racing out of the den, her ears pricked forward, and then she picked up the scent of the luna...and another dog...a male. She closed her eyes a bit and looked at Askari. "its a male..." she whispered to her lightly.

Bella growled fiercely. Fire in her eyes. "GET OFF ME!" She growled. "not until you admit to loving me" Jazz spat. Bella looked at him. "ARE YOU NUTS?" She asked him, using her hind paws to throw him off her. He stumbled a little bit, and turned, eyes locking on Bella. He growled, and lunged forward, throwing her against a tree, where she lost her balance and stumbled a bit, before regaining it again. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" She spat angrily, glaring at him. "A DOG WHO WANTS A MATE!" Jazz said. "I HAVE ONE!" Bella screamed, lunging for him again, but he dodged her, and then jumped over her, landing on her back, scraping his claws down her leg. Bella let out a shriek of pain, but kept standing as blood flowed from her leg. Suddenly, Coco raced into the mix. "GET OFF HER!" She screeched. Jazz turned and looked at Coco. "brought friends did ya?" he asked. "coco, get out of here" Bella said, unable to stand much longer. "I CAN'T LEAVE YOU!" She said. "Just get Thunder, please" Bella said. Coco nodded, spinning and racing to find Thunder, when she found him she was breathless. "she's being attacked..." was all Coco needed to say as the alpha surged forward more. Jazz threw Bella to the ground again, Bella stumbled, and he put his paw against her throat. Bella was gasping for air as he did so.

Fang pounded along behind his Alpha, adrenaline rushing through his veins. He glanced over to his mate, protection filling every bone of his body. He would do anything to keep her safe, and so he understood how his Alpha felt.

Askari growled low in her throat, speeding up slightly. If any male was messing with their Luna....

Thunder skidded to a stop as Coco suddenly emerged from the surrounding brush. At her words, rage filled every bone in his body, and he leapt forwards, a growl building in his throat. The scent grew stronger in his nostrils... another male. His ears were pinned flat as he charged forwards, whipping himself around boulders and trees, until the scent was so strong he knew they were just ahead. The growl in his throat built to a snarl, and suddenly he burst through the surrounding bushes, just as a crack of thunder burst from the heavens, a blaze of lightning streaking across the sky and lighting the scene. Thunder stood to his full height, his fur bristled, his eyes furious, his lips drawn back over his gleaming clenched teeth as he snarled at the dog that stood over his mate. Behind him, the four guards burst through, flanking him as another, quieter roll of thunder echoed over them. "GET. OFF. MY. MATE" Thunder snarled, taking a single powerful step forwards, backed up by the rumbling growls from his pack behind him.

“Thunder” Bella said, gasping for air. Jazz turned and locked eyes with Thunder. “Oh…so you’re her mate” he said. “Yes” Bella said. “He is.” She said. “Ok. Well sense he’s here now, he can watch you die.” Jazz said. Bella’s eyes grew wide, and she blinked, gasping for. “No…” she said. “Please….we have puppies” Bella said. Jazz scoffed. “So what?” He growled in her ear. “You’re going to die at your mates paws.” He said, taking his paw in the air to slash her throat. “THUNDER!!!” Bella screamed.

Thunder saw red. With a powerful thrust of his hindquarters he leapt forwards, his jaws opened wide, a snarl in his throat. In a second he was at his mate's side, leaping upwards, his jaws connecting around the dog's throat as he flung him off his mate.

Fang leapt forwards as well, racing to the Luna's side and swiftly positioning himself in front of her as Askari lightly dashed over to help Bella. They had to get her out of there fast.

Jazz didn’t have time to react as Thunder jumped on top of him. In two seconds, he went limp on the ground, his eyes closed and he lay there, dead.

Bella struggled to get up, as the other guards helped her as well. “T-Thunder” Bella said, looking at her mate. Bella leaned on Fang, and within two seconds, she was on the ground, unconscious. “BELLA!” Clover screeched, rushing over to her, and nudging her hard. “Come on, wake up” she begged. “Thunder, Bella’s unconscious “ Clover said, nudging Bella hard.

Thunder's jaws clenched tightly, and he hardly even noticed when the male stopped moving. Until he heard Clover's screech, and he dropped the carcass with a shudder, spinning and running to his mate's side. "Bella, Bella can you hear me? Bella, it's Thunder, you're safe" he said worriedly, then nuzzled her, sniffing her all over, until he found her wounds. His eyes widened. "Clover, Askari, Fang, Lulu, I need you to go find cobweb, yarrow, wild sunflower, and plantain leaves. As fast as you can." he said, his eyes filled with worry for his mate. Askari as a loner had learned much of plants and herbs and swiftly nodded, speaking quietly "I'll get the wild sunflower" she said, spinning and racing into the forest. Fang paused. He was not much of an herb person at all. "I'll get the cobweb" he said, swiftly spinning and dashing into the forest.

“I’ve got yarrow, Lulu you get plaintain leaves” she said, racing into the forest with her sister. The two looked around and found what they were looking for, before racing back to the alpha. “Here” she said, as Bella was still laying on the ground unconscious. Clovers eyes widened a little…when suddenly a yellow lab padded into the clearing. “Liberty?” Coco asked. Liberty nodded. “Step away from her” she said to the alpha.

Askari found the wild sunflower with no problem, hiding in a nice bunch of grass by a fallen log. Grabbing a large plant with many leaves, she spun and raced back to her Alpha, putting it down and sitting as she waited for the rest. Fang took a bit longer, unsure where to search, but he finally found some strong looking cobweb, pulling it with a grimace off of the bush it was attatched to, then racing back, depositing the cobweb beside the leaves, then looking over in alarm as he heard a strange voice speak with authority to their Alpha.

Thunder looked over as the others raced back, giving a mildly distracted nod to them as he nuzzled his mate. At the sudden strange voice, he spun, lips drawn back in a ready snarl. "Who are you to dare order me to step away from my mate?" he thundered in rage built of worry.

[Abbster]

“My name is Liberty. I am Cocos sister.” She said. “I know how to help your mate.” Liberty told him. “Please.” She said. Coco looked at the alpha. “Thunder…please. I trust her. And I trust you. Let her help Bella” Coco said. When Thunder sighed, Liberty dipped her head to Coco. “Thank you” she said. “You may stay beside her…but I need to work” Liberty said, picking up the herbs and padded over to Bella. She sniffed her throughly. “Alright…I see the wounds” she said, looking around again. Liberty could hear thunder growling, she looked at him. “Thunder, sir, if you wish for your mate to regain consciousness, please, let me work”

Thunder's growl diminished and as he heard Coco's words, he sighed and stepped sideways slightly, letting her pass, but keeping a close eye on her. As she examined her he couldn't help but growl slightly, his nerves shot with worry. As she spoke he clamped his mouth shut, trying to force himself to be silent and let her work.

After a little while, Liberty finished up patching Bella, then she put some herbs in her mouth that would help her wake up. “Just give the herbs a few moments” Liberty said. She sat down and a few moments later, Bella’s eyes opened. “THUNDER!” She screeched. Coco smiled and looked at Liberty. “Thank you Liberty” she said. “Are you sure…you don’t want to join our pack…we could use you as a dog healer.” Coco said.
