Thunder kept trying to figure it all out. He had all his guards... although Fang would be busy teaching his daughter, but still. If he took Askari off, it could even things out a bit more. And perhaps Duke could once again scout with Coco, although more for moral support than actual scouting, as the poor dog could never notice many things he was supposed to. And Remmie.... he frowned. How long until he could ask her to retake her position in the pack? How soon was too soon? He frowned, then shifted to his paws slightly, preferring to be walking while thinking. Perhaps.... he paused, an idea taking form. What if he took a small band to do a true exploration scout? It was just not knowing the area or any packs near the area that was bugging him so much.

Bella barked to her pups and they scrambled over and Bella smiled as she curled around them, her eyes closing for a little nap as the pups also fell asleep for a nap as well. The sun was warming Bella’s pelt, which helped a lot.

Thunder paced for a while more, then pushed out of the vines, glancing around. His eyes caught sight of his mate and pups, and he smiled softly, his body language relaxing. He padded quietly by to the rock, jumping up with agility and laying down, crossing his paws, haunches under him as he looked out over his quiet pack. Most were sleeping, which they should at this time of day. But one...one wasn't there. He sighed deeply. Askari. She was gone, still. His gaze shifted to the forest, his eyes piercing the darkness.

Bella stirred a little bit as a breeze suddenly ruffled her fur. She and her pups were sleeping by the den and the rustling and light breeze made her wake. She opened her eyes and blinked in the setting sun. She gazed around and smiled as she saw her mate laying near by. As the pups were asleep, Bella stayed where she was, but she barked softly to Thunder.

Thunder started slightly and looked away from the forest over to his mate, a smile softening the worried look in his eyes. He wagged his tail softly to her and smiled at her lovingly.

[Abbster]

Bella motioned to the spot beside her for her mate to join her, hoping he would but she could see he was also deep in thought.

Thunder looked over, paused for a moment, then smiled and got to his paws, quietly moving to her and laying down, their pelts touching as he nuzzled her. "Askari hasn't returned" he answered to her slightly questioning look.

[Abbster]

Bella sighed slightly. "Thunder....I....I think we should let her go" Bella admitted. "Ya know, let her be free again....I think it's what she needs" Bella said as she snuggled against Thunder.

Thunder growled slightly "She came to us for protection, and if she wants to remain in the pack, she shall. If she wishes to leave she may, but only if she wishes to be a loner. SHe cannot stay responsible for this pack and do her own life the way she wants at the same time" he said with a frown.

[Abbster]

Bella shifted a bit. “I’m sorry, it was just an idea.” Bella said. “I think we both know she’s not happy here….but honestly what can we do?” Bella asked

Thunder sighed again then nuzzled her "I know you're trying to help" he said softly, then shook his head "I think i may have to confront her soon" he said quietly.

[Abbster]

“Can we just….enjoy right now?” Bella asked. “Not talk about today” Bella said. “I’m tired, and….I just want a grooming from my mate” she admitted.

Thunder sighed, then nodded "Of course darling" he said, nuzzling her and beginning to groom her silently.

Bella could tell, just by the strokes of her mates tongue that something was off with him. She gazed up at him. “Thunder, what is it?” Bella asked.

Thunder nuzled her "It's ok, i've just been thinking too much today" he said softly as he continued grooming her.
