Bella blushed....she was only ever caught blushing when she was with her mate. "you know you're the only dog who can make me blush" Bella pointed out, licking his nose and then his ears.
Clover felt her legs trembling under her, but she could hear the worry in her mates voice. She nodded, and stood up, pressing against him as they prepared to run towards the camp.

Thunder smiled and licked her nose as well "I know" he said with a lovingly look.
Fang nuzzled her, letting her press against him as they moved swiftly away.

Bella let out a soft laugh. "You always have been" she said. "You get me like no one else" she said, curling her tail up with his and pressing into his side.
Clover looked at her mate. "what are they doing here?" she growled angrily. "they're so close from to the camp! And I heard Autumn just gave birth yesterday" she said

Thunder nuzzled her "As have you" he said, then smiled "I'd better!" he said, slightly teasingly as he licked her nose.
Fang shook his head "I don't know... it's not right" he said worriedly, then sighed "It is not a good time for the Uprights to be pressing closer, not that any time is ever good" he said.

Bella growled playfully. "oh really?" she teased playfully, grabbing her mates ear and tugging at it a little bit before she looked back down at their pups. When she looked down...they were gone. "Thunder..." Bella mumbled. "the pups..." she said, her heart pounding. "the pups...the pups are gone" she said.
Clover nodded as she padded along side him.

Thunder chuckled and then growled in response, but it died in his throat at her words, swiftly leaping to his paws and padding further, out, then letting out a sigh of relief as he saw Drake lift his head and nod to him, from a secure place, watching the pups. "Oh it's fine, they moved out of sight but drake is watching them" he called back to her.
Fang nuzzled his mate again, worries in his mind as they headed back.

Bella let out a breath of relief. "thank goodness" she muttered as he padded back to her. "I thought something happened to them" she admitted with a little sad sigh.
"Fang.." Clover mumbled. "what if they come to the pack?" she asked

Thunder smiled and moved back beside her, nuzzling her. "As long as my Beta is around, I know that won't happen. He often is more observant than even I" he said with a chuckle.
Fang sighed and shook his head "They can't... they can't come that far." he said firmly. How he hoped he was right.

Bella smiled. "you chose well when picking him to be your beta" Bella said, smiling and licking his muzzle. "hey...since he's watching them, do you want to have some mate time in the healers den?" Bella asked. They rarely got mate time these days.
Clover nodded shakily. "ok" she mumbled

Thunder smiled and nodded "I did" he agreed with a chuckle, then licked her nose. "I'd like that" he said warmly.
Fang nuzzled her again comfortingly, slowing his pace slightly as they were still quite a ways from their pack.

Bella smiled, and padded back into Liberty's den, sitting down on the bed as her mate joined her. She heaved a happy sigh and snuggled down next to him, she began to groom his pelt while they lay there. Bella could hear their pups yipping as they played.

Thunder followed her in and lay down next to her, smiling as she groomed his pelt, he nibbling her fur now and then lovingly.

Bella smiled and licked his nose.
-1 month later-
Bella stirred in her bed. The pups curled up beside her, Thunder still laying beside her as well. She yawned and smiled over at him. "good morning my rolling Thunder" she said softly, licking his ears, and then grooming his morning ruffled pelt.
Clover stirred as well. Her stomach was aching, and she was feeling worse than she had the last two days. She stood up carefully, and padded out of her den, and over to Liberty's. "Liberty" she barked softly. Liberty poked her head out from the den within her den. "Hi Clover!" she said. "what's up?" she asked. "I'm not feeling great" Clover said. "come in, come in" Liberty said. Clover smiled, and padded inside, laying down on a bed. "What hurts?" she asked. "my stomach is aching, worse than yesterday" she said. Liberty nodded, and put her paw on the females belly. "Clover, your stomach hurts because you're pregnant" she said. Clover sat up. "what?" she asked. Liberty nodded. "yea" she said. Clover's eyes widened. "oh thank you Liberty!" she said. "I can't wait to tell Fang!" she burst out of the den and ran to her den, bursting through. "FANG! FANG!" She squealed. Aurora, now almost a year old, rose her head. "mama?" she asked. "what is it?" she asked sleepily. "Wake your father, I have news" Clover said to her adopted pup. Aurora nodded, and nudged her father in the side
