"Of course" Clover said...pure love showing in her eyes. "Fang, I would never judge you" she promised. "if I want to get somewhere with you...who would I be to judge you?" she asked. "I'm glad you told me" she said. "and...I didn't have the best puphood either" she finally admitted.

Bella shifted a little, all the pups whining when they were unlatched from Bella. Bella smiled and settled back towards them, as the whining stops and they began nursing again. "we need to be extra careful.." she said. "that means getting the pups into the den by dark" Bella said

Fang smiled again, then licked her nose, unable to stop himself. How could she be so loving and understanding? How long had she had feelings for him that he'd ignored? At her words he nuzzled her, mildly confused, but only in caring towards her "You grew up in the pack though... what happened in your puphood?" he asked gently.

Thunder nodded seriously. "Definitely. And I will make sure guards are always standing at their posts" he added firmly.

Bella nodded as Saylor finished up her nursing, and bounded over to her father, plopping herself at his paws, before she looked to the den entrance, and pricked her ears forward, and then looking back at her father.

"No one knows this..but Lulu" Clover said. "We weren't born in the pack" she finally said. "Fang...Lulu and I were born as loners" she said. "our mother and father were from two different packs and they fell in love" Clover said. "when my mother found out she was expecting his pups, they ran away from their packs and ended up in this forest" She said

Thunder smiled to his daughter, leaning down and nuzzling her. "Oh, so you want to go back outside do you? well let's wait for your brothers and sisters" he said, glancing over to his other pups who were still nursing. Sage finished a few moments later and tumbled over, attempting to tackle his father's paw again.

Fang's eyes were full of compassion and listening, and he gently licked her ear again. "Oh i'm sorry Clover, I never knew" he said quietly. And here he'd been giving his own sob story, when she had had a difficult past herself.

Clover smiled. "there's more" she said. "My mother gave birth to me and Lulu...during Long Cold" She said. "it was very risky...as we were both so small" she said, pressing close to Fang. "my father...went for help, as my mother huddled against her newborn pups in a small cave" Clover said. "he came back, with the alpha at the time, of this pack" she said. "Luckily, they had agreed to take my family in, but we were still born out here" she said, looking at her paws. "If my father didn't go for help...Lulu and I might've died." Clover said, finishing her story.

Saylor smiled and yipped a reply, as Daisy finished up as well and came bounding over.

Fang listened, his breath catching slightly and he nuzzled her. "I am so grateful that he did. Even though we haven't spoken much till now, I can't imagine my life without you" he breathed, then licked her nose again. "I can only hope to be such a strong father and mate one day" he said quietly.

Willow finished a few minutes later and bounced over, tackling her older sister. Thunder chuckled, rising to his paws. "You may rest if you wish, I can take them outside" he offered with a smile to Bella.

Clover blushed hard. "Fang, I've had these feelings for you....since last greenleaf" Clover said. "But, I've been to scared to tell you how I felt...scared you weren't going to feel the same way" Clover said. "but now that I've finally told you how I feel..." he said, breaking off slightly. "I couldn't imagine...myself spending the rest of my life...with anyone else" she said.

Bella smiled. "thank you, but I've rested with these four for long enough. You should be the one resting" Bella said. "after all, you just ran through the entire forest"

Fang's eyes widened, then he nuzzled her again, his smile widening. "Oh Clover, I'm sorry i was so oblivious! I was just... well I was scared too. It's never gone well when i've let anyone get close, they always get taken from me" he said, his ears flattening slightly. "But with you... i'm not afraid of that. I would never let anything happen to you" he said seriously, licking her cheek with a look that could only be described as love.

Thunder chuckled. Trust his mate to remind him of his sore paws. "Well, that is true" he said, slightly reluctantly as he padded over to her and nuzzled her. "But only if you feel sure you'll be ok looking after them" he said quickly.

Clover blushed hard and then licked his cheek in return. "oh Fang" she whispered. "I love you so much" she said, as she snuggled up against him. "lets see if the alpha will let us start scouting more and more together" she said, licking him again.

Bella smiled. "of course I don't mind" she said. "but I don't want you resting for long" she said. "I'll need help herding them back in here for bed tonight" she said

Fang nuzzled her again bringing her close against him, loving to feel her pelt pressing against his. "I'm sure he will, he will understand" he said softly, licking her ear gently, then speaking softly. "You know those days where one thing happens and suddenly your world has completely changed?" he paused then touched her nose with his. "Today is that day for me" he said softly.

Thunder lay down and smiled, nuzzling her. "of course, I will not sleep long" he promised.

Clover looked down and blushed deeply. Suddenly, she looked at him and blurted out. "Fang, will you be my mate?" She looked at him in the eyes, and licked his nose. "I...I love you, and I don't want to live without you.. I want to live the rest of my life with you, as your mate" she said.

Bella smiled and nuzzled her mate, licking his nose, before she herded her pups outside.

Fang looked mildly shocked at her question, but his eyes softened as she looked at him lovingly. He licked her in return, then nuzzled her. To have her as his mate.. could he be so lucky? But he hesitated... he couldn't help but hesitate. "Clover... I.. I love you, I know this, and I know I couldn't imagine any day without you in it. But... are you sure? Are you sure nothing of my past could change how you feel?" he asked, unsurity flashing in his eyes.

Thunder smiled, then laid his head down, his eyes closing slowly as he drifted into a doze.

Willow yipped and raced outside, tumbling over her own paws at the edge and rolling into a surprised Drake. "Easy there little one" he said with a smile, nudging her back to her paws and over to her siblings, getting to his own paws and dipping his head to his Luna.

"Never" Clover promised. "Like I said, I love you for you, not your past." she said. "you're a strong, confident, amazing dog, and pack mate." she said. "If I was able to spend the rest of my life with you, every day would be a joy" she said. "To wake up beside my mate, seeing him in the morning, and before I fall asleep at night." She said. "This is the most certain I've been about anything in my life" Clover said. "I love you, with my whole heart, and nothing about your past will EVER change that" Clover promised, as she gazed into his eyes with the look of pure love.

Bella chuckled a bit as Willow rolled into Drake. "thank you for keeping watch" she said to him as she padded outside after her pups. Daisy, let out a laugh as Willow stumbled into Drake. When they were outside, Daisy made a beeline for Willow, and she jumped on top of her back.

Fang's eyes softened with love and gratitude and he swiftly nuzzled her, licking her nose and then her ear as she spoke. "Oh Clover, you have such a big heart" he said softly. "I would be incredibly lucky and so so so honored to be your mate. I promise I will protect you always, and be there for you whenever you need me. I will never forsake you, and I will never stand in the way of anything you wish for. I will love you with my entire heart, and I will always tell you all" he said, each vow sparking more love in his gaze.

Drake smiled slightly and nodded "Of course my Luna" he said, keeping his position, his senses going on full alert now that the pups were outside. If anything came, he would know first.

Willow growled as the large dog pushed her away, then trotted after her mother, letting out another growl to her sister when she laughed at her. Feeling a weight on her back, which forced her to the ground, she let out a yelp then began wriggling and twisting, grabbing her sister's ear and pulling hard.

Clover blushed and she pressed against him. "Fang" she whispered. "my sweet mate" she smiled, and licked his ear lovingly. "its getting a bit late, do you think we should head back soon?" she asked, licking him again as she snuggled close to him. "Oh fang, I can't wait to sleep next to you tonight" She said, as she licked him again.

Daisy let out a yelp...of pain. Bella swung her head around and saw blood dribbling from Daisy's ear. "WILLOW!" Bella yelped. Luging forward to grab Willow off her. "Your sisters ear is bleeding" she said, beginning to lick her oldest daughters ear. She turned to Drake. "Drake, please wake the alpha, and let him know that Daisy's ear is bleeding" Bella said, as she continued licking Daisy's ear
