Bella opened her eyes the next morning as a light breeze fluttered into the den. She looked down at her pups, Daisy was shivering a little bit. Bella moved closer to her and pulled her towards her belly. Her shivering stopped and Bella licked each of her pups before she put her head down on her paws.

The ten month old golden doodle puppy wandered around the forest. She looked around, her ears pricked forward as she listened for any signs of early morning danger. At 3 weeks old, her mother abandoned her, and she was taken in by a loner...but at 5 months old, that loner abandoned her as well...now all on her own...with no name, the ten month old golden doodle puppy, is looking for a new family to call her own. She has heard multiple different things about a pack in this forest...but she has never seen to find them. The puppy sighed, and she jumped onto a rock, curling up in the early morning sun.

Thunder woke as he felt a shifting, raising his head and yawning, smiling over at his mate. "Good morning, my darling" he said, licking her nose.

Askari gave a slight yawn shaking herself and glancing to the east with mild relief. The sun was rising, slowly, but it was rising. Soon the Alpha would call them, and she would be able to rest.

Fang shifted slightly where he slept in his den, letting out an involuntary whimper from deep in his dreams. Voicing his past yesterday had brought back all the memories... all of them. He whimpered again, his legs twitching hard.

Bella licked her mate in return. "good morning" she said. "sleep well?" she asked, as she nuzzled their pups lovingly before looking outside. "we should relieve Lulu and Askari from their night watching." Bella said. "they should get some rest" she added.

Lulu was beginning to grow tired...and her paws were aching from sitting for so long, she looked over at the alpha and luna's den and thought she saw movement, but it was just a shadow. She sighed and closed her eyes a little before they shot open again.

Clover lifted her head and looked over at her mate. He was shifting and twitching. Clover leaned forward, and nuzzled him gently. "its ok darling" she whispered, careful not to wake the other scouts around them. Clover licked Fang's ear lovingly and curled up closer to him.

Thunder smiled and nuzzled her "I did, did you?" he asked softly, then nodded again. "You can stay with the pups, I will go relieve them and call the pack to order, I wish to get an early start on the day so I can spend more time with you and the pups" he said lovingly.

Fang growled reflexively as he felt someone touch him, but he relaxed in his subconscious as he heard Clover's soothing voice, giving a slight sigh and calming into a peaceful doze.

Bella nodded. "I did have a bad dream last night...but other than that, I slept pretty well" she said, licking his nose. She smiled at his next comment. "my sweet rolling thunder" Bella said, nuzzling him as she pulled the pups closer to her as her mate stood up. She smiled. How did she get so lucky to have such an amazing mate? Bella wondered.

Clover licked his ear. "its ok" she whispered. "I'm here" she promised.

Thunder looked concerned and licked her nose again "Well at least you slept well for most of the night" he said, then smiled "I will return in a moment my darling Belle" he said, lovingly nuzzling her again before getting carefully to his paws and padding out of the den, looking back once and smiling at her before ducking out of the den and into the dawn. Shaking himself he padded to the log and jumped onto it, then let out a soft yet commanding howl, calling all to him.

Drake emerged from his den immediately at his Alpha's call, having slept lightly all night. He stretched then padded over and sat down just below his Alpha, giving a submissive dip of his head to Thunder who inclined his head to him in return.

Askari heard it and felt relief flood her tired bones, swiftly turning and loping to the clearing, bowing low to her Alpha then sitting and waiting for the others to arrive. She didn't have to wait long, after a moment Remus and Rebel came bounding out of their den, leaping over each other with energy then skidding to a halt when the reached the clearing.

Brutus swiftly lifted his head and yawned, shaking himself as he stood, his jowls flopping slightly. With another shake he moved heavily towards the entrance, then quickened his pace as he remembered yesterday. Snowflake. His eyes gleamed hopefully and he trotted to the clearing.

Duke woke a moment later and stood to his full height, stretching and yawning then trotting out of the den and over to the clearing, sitting and quickly scratching his neck with a hind leg, his ears flopping as he did.

Fang's doze grew lighter as he heard the female's voice, and by the time his Alpha called, he was ready to awaken. Lifting his head he looked over and smiled softly to Clover. "I heard your voice in my dreams" he said, lovingly licking her nose. "I wondered if perhaps it was all just a dream that you were mine, but no, here I wake up and you haven't vanished" he said with a soft look and nuzzling her.

(Btw no scouts are around fang and clover bc 1 they're not scouts they're guards, and 2 askari and lulu are guarding and not in the den haha)

Bella smiled and curled up around her pups once more, licking each of them as she listened to her mates strong howl.


Remmie stretched in her bed, yawning, and then turning her head to nip at a scratch on her back leg. Then, she trotted out of the den, smiling over at Cosmo, who was sitting down in his spot. Cosmo smiled back at her, and she blushed a little, taking her spot near Drake. She looked up at her alpha, and looked around. Where was his luna? she wondered. She was probably still with the pups, as it was early morning.

Snowflake stirred in her bed, shaking herself awake as her eyes suddenly glowed. She jumped up and out of her bed, racing out of the den and into the clearing, slowing when she came up to Brutus, she sat down beside him and nuzzled him. "morning" she whispered to him

Coco came out of the den with Ginger, and Ranger beside her, they all padded towards the clearing, and then Coco blushed a little at the sight of her one love...Duke. She hadn't told him how she felt yet, but her feelings were there. She padded over and sat near him, smiling. "morning Duke" she said to him.

Lulu gave a happy yip, and raced to the log, waiting for her sister to come out with her new mate.

Clover smiled and got to her paws, stretching and licking him. "nope" she said. "I'm all yours, and I will forever be yours my sweet Fang" Clover promised as she padded into the clearing with her mate. She sat down beside her sister and licked her ear. "get some good rest when the alpha dismisses us" she said to Lulu. Lulu smiled at her sister and licked her in return. "oh, don't worry, I will" she said, smiling over at Fang. "good morning Fang" she said

Thunder gazed out over his pack as they gathered, waiting until each was there before beginning to speak.

Drake glanced over as the Omega padded up beside him, then turned his attention back to his Alpha.

Brutus looked over hopefully as he heard pawsteps, a smile flashing over his muzzle as Snowflake padded right up to him and sat down, blushing as she nuzzled him. "Good morning, Snowflake" he whispered back, tentatively returning her nuzzle.

Duke finished scratching as he heard a voice, looking over and giving a merry grin to the dog beside him. "Good morning Coco!" he said cheerily, although a bit obliviously as he turned to face his Alpha again.

Fang smiled and got to his paws as well, licking her ear lovingly "I'm so lucky" he said softly as he followed her, sitting beside her and smiling a bit sheepishly over to her sister. "Good morning Lulu" he said quickly as she spoke to him, dipping his head to her and blushing as he couldn't resist nuzzling his mate again.

Thunder noticed a few interactions between the dogs before him, and he just barely stopped the smile that threatened to spread over his muzzle. Hmmm he might have some interesting conversations with a few of them before too long. Clearing his throat he barked to get their attention, then speaking the traditional greeting "This morning brings health and peace" he howled, his pack responding strongly "May each day bring such wealth". Then he got down to business. "Yesterday, an Upright was seen in the eastern border." He said bluntly, beginning with the bad news. "A Wild Yellow also slunk into camp, although myself and Drake were more than capable of chasing it out just before it could harm my mate and her pups" he said, looking sternly over the pack. There were a few disbeliving shocked yips, but they went silent as he began speaking again. "As such, the guarding and scouting positions will need to be doubly filled. Fang and Clover, I know you two just patrolled yesterday, but I have need of you to do it once again, focusing still on the eastern border. Do a full circuit on the closer patrol path." he turned to the scouts. "Rebel, Ginger, you two will scout until afternoon, focus on the west and north. Once they return, Coco, you take the southern trail." he turned to the hunters "You may use your own discernment as to whether we need food or not for the day, if we do not, then pair up and take guarding positions on the west and east paths." he looked over the pack once more before lifting his muzzle and sending out another soft yet strong howl, dismissing them to their tasks.

Coco blushed at his greeting and then turned her attention back to her alpha. Nodding firmly as he spoke to her. Looking over at Ginger, as she nodded as well.

Clover smiled big. She got to patrol with her mate! She smiled and stood to her paws as the alpha dismissed them. "ready?" she asked Fang, licking his nose. When he nodded, they headed towards the camps entrance and began their scout on the eastern trail, passing a few rocks now and then...and getting closer to where the stray pup was laying.

The ten month old pup lifted her head as she heard paw steps. "oh no!" she gasped, jumping to her paws, and then falling off the rock. The pup gave a yelp as her tail got stuck in a thorn bush. She whined and tried pulling it out with her teeth.

Thunder smiled as he watched the pack disperse, waiting as Drake padded up to him. "Can you keep an eye on things?" he asked him. His beta swiftly nodded. "Certainly my Alpha" he said understandingly. Thunder smiled in thanks and padded back to his den, quietly entering and smiling lovingly at his mate as he lay down once again.

Fang smiled as he heard he'd patrol with Clover again, nuzzling her and nodding, quickly trotting along with her. They weren't too far down the trail when he heard a sound that was awfully like a yelp. His ears pricked and he stopped, raising his nose to the air and scenting. Dog? A loner perhaps? "I think there's a dog up ahead, but stay behind me, it could be a loner and they can be dangerous when they feel cornered" he said seriously, looking over with protection in his gaze.

Rebel gave a cheerful mildly rambunctious smile to Ginger and padded up to her. "I betcha I can beat you to the scouting path" he challenged with a glint in his eye.

Askari barely managed to listen to everyone speaking before she turned and stumbled to the den, flopping down inside and falling asleep almost instantly.

Brutus listened carefully to his alpha, then turned to Snowflake as they were dismissed, getting to his paws. He could see Duke moving towards them as well, and he waited for him to arrive before speaking. "Well considering we had to dig an extra hole yesterday, I don't think we need to hunt again, do any of you?" he asked.

Duke got to his paws as the Alpha dismissed them, giving an amiable grin to Coco as he padded past her and over to the hunters.

Bella rose her head as Thunder padded back in. A smile crossed her face and she licked his ear. "I could hear you from in here" she whispered. "You always sound so strong" she said.

Clover's ears pricked. "wait" she growled, sniffing the air. She caught the scent...of blood, and a puppy. "Fang...its a puppy" she whispered, racing forwards to where the yelp had come from. She jumped onto the rock and gasped. "are you alright?" Clover asked. The golden doodle rose her head. "no.." she mumbled. "I need help" she said. Clover nodded and jumped down, grabbing the vine from the puppies tail, and dragging it off of her. "what's your name?" she asked. The puppy blinked and she looked from Fang to Clover and back again. "I...I don't have one" she mumbled.

Snowflake nodded. "i agree" she said to him, nuzzling him as they joined the other two hunters.

Ginger growled. "is that a challenge?" she asked. Then she looked at him. "you do know...that I like your brother, right?" she asked him, jokingly. She had already told him that she liked his brother.

Lulu padded to the den after Askari and she flopped down onto the bed, falling asleep instantly as well.

Coco blushed and then she scratched her ear as she waited for her turn to scout.

Thunder smiled and licked her nose. "That's because you make me strong" he responded.

Fang swiftly scented the air again, then his eyes widened and he swiftly raced after her, leaping onto the rock and down to the puppy and Clover. In a moment he could see how scared she was, and how alone. With a reassuring smile he relaxed and padded up to her, gently brushing against her in a comforting way. "Are you out here alone?" he asked in a soft voice.

Brutus smiled at her nuzzle, nodding. "Ok then, let's split into twos so we can go guard" he said, eager to be alone with Snowflake. But Duke, mr. ever oblivious, spoke up. "I can guard with you Bart" he said with a kind smile. Brutus blinked slightly, unsure of how to continue at this point.

Rebel grinned "It sure is" he growled back, then laughed "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't still beat you!" he said, suddenly shooting off into the forest.

Bella blushed. It was rare that she blushed anymore, but she was in love...with her mate. "Oh Thunder" She said, nuzzling him lovingly.

The puppy nodded nervously. "I...I've been alone for months" she said, blinking a bit. Clover looked at Fang. "We can't leave her here" she whispered to him, and then she looked back down at the puppy. "how old are you?" Clover asked. "ten months" the puppy replied. "I...I've been alone since I was 5 months old...after the loner who took me in...abandoned me" she said. "my mother abandoned me when I was three weeks old" she said, whimpering a little. "i've been alone ever since.." she said. "who are you?" she asked finally. Clover smiled. "I'm Clover, and this is my mate, Fang" she said. "We're going to help you" she promised. "really?" the puppy asked. Clover nodded. "of course." she said. "come on, lets get you back to our pack...but first, you need a name" Clover said, looking at her mate.

Snowflake looked at Duke...when suddenly Coco padded up. "I know I'm not a guard...but could I guard with you Duke?" she asked, blushing a little. Snowflake let out a breath of relief. "please say yes" she whispered a bit.

Ginger growled back. "oh its on" she said, racing after him.

Thunder smiled and nuzzled her in return "I love you Bella" he said softly.

Fang's eyes widened slightly and he looked over to Clover, nodding in agreement. So far Thunder had not turned away any dog from his pack, and he was sure he would welcome the young pup. Hearing the pup's backstory made his heart ache for her. He knew the feeling of being abandoned. He stayed silent, letting Clover speak for them until she looked at him. He smiled. "Definitely we will help you, our entire pack will. But yes, you need a name" he said, thinking for a moment. "Well, how do you feel about Aurora?" he asked, then added swiftly "It means the dawn. After all, it is dawn at the moment, and we are in the east side of the park, and you are golden like the sun" he said with a smile.

Brutus let out a sigh of relief as Snowflake did, looking over and hoping the great dane would accept. Duke looked rather surprised. "I'm sure you could" he said with a kind smile, then looked over to Brutus with a kindly apologetic look. "Sorry Bort, maybe we can guard together tomorrow" he said kindly as if it were Brutus's idea. Brutus blinked. Yippee. What a thing to look forward too. Duke smiled over to the lab "What side should we guard, Coco?" he asked. Brutus blinked again. So he could miraculously remember her name. Huh.

Rebel gave a panting grin as he heard Ginger crashing through the woods behind him, he doubling his speed.

"I love you too, My rolling Thunder" Bella said, licking him

Clover smiled. "I think Aurora suits her, what about you?" she asked the pup. The pup jumped for joy. "I HAVE A NAME!" She squealed, yipping happily. Clover smiled. "calm down there, Aurora" she said. Aurora stopped jumping around and looked at the two dogs. "wheres your pack?" she asked. "this way" Clover said, turning and jumping on top of the rock, and leading the way to her pack with Fang at her side. When they arrived, Clover padded to the alpha and luna's den. "alpha...I hate to bother you...but Fang and I have found a pup, and we were hoping she could join us?" Clover asked, as Aurora shifted on her paws nervously.

Coco blushed. "how about we take the west?" she suggested, and when he nodded she padded to the west side of the camp with Duke.

Snowflake blinked as they walked away. "wait....so...he can say her name correctly?" she asked, stunned.
