Nala managed to fall asleep in her little moss made bed. She curled up and twitched a leg as she began dreaming. When she woke up later, she could hear rain falling outside. “Not rain” Nala hissed angrily, as she poked her head out as rain poured outside. Just the little bit of rain on her head made Nala recoil back into her den, shaking her head wildly to get the water off her head. She sighed and curled up on her bed again. “Well it looks like I’m not having dinner tonight” she said to herself with another sigh.

After hunting the stork, Osaraka once again lay down, thinking of what she should do now, when she noticed rain clouds gathering in the sky. She flinched then shook herself with disdain. She hated rain. Rain it did, however, for rain never seemed to ask the opinions of the ones it rains upon. Osaraka was a wanderer, never staying in the same spot for very long, not long enough to find herself a home, anyhow, and it wasn’t long until she was drenched, despite having taken cover under a nearby tree. She violently shook herself, a deluge of raindrops running down her fur. “Oh how I hate this rain!” , she thought to herself. Overcast days were good, then almost everything was a shadow, but raining days… Well, let’s just say she hated them.

Nala sighed and shivered a little bit as a wind picked up. Her belly rumbled hungrily and Nala sighed again. “I’m starving” she said to herself as she heard a rustling outside her den. “Nala?” Simba called. “Simba? What are you doing here?” Nala asked. Simba padded into the cave, dragging a bison behind him. “I brought you food” he said. “Everyone in the pride knows you hate rain, so we all chased down this bison for you” he said, setting it down. Nala smiled. “Thank you Simba” she said. Simba nodded and then ducked out of the cave. Nala stood up and walked over to the bison, bending her head so she could devour her meal.

Osaraka smelled the scents that the wind brought over to her: more lions. "So she didn't lie about being with a pride, then.", she thought to herself sarcastically. "What a relief." She was in all honesty not in a good mood at all. She settled herself back down and decided to wait untill the rain stopped, but she was too bored for that, so she set of at a rather fast pace, back towards the creek, where she found a log that spanned it. Presently she decided she might climb OVER the log, and began her journey over it. It went fairly well until she had reached the exact middle, and that's where the log broke into two pieces, and Osarak went slap splat into the middle of the creek, which was somewhat deep at this point. She quickly lifted her head over water, almost panicking, and swam to the closest shore. She realized with annoyment afterwards, that she had ended up on the same side she had started out on. "Well that's just great.", she grumbled to herself, shaking the water off her fur, which was absolutely useless considering it was raining. She began walking along the creek embankment.

After Nala finished eating her food, she pushed the remaining bones out of her cave, and then she heaved a sigh before laying her head down on the edge of her bed and closed her eyes for a small nap.

Presently the rain stopped, and Osaraka got out of the cover a rock had given her, and shook herself once again. She ran to the plains, in search of something edible. The herd of antelope had disappeared, and Osaraka looked around for something, but saw nothing. In the distance, she saw some lions chasing a bison, then bringing it down, and dragging it to somewhere. A growl escaped her throat.

When Nala woke up, the rain had stopped. She stretched and padded out of her cave and out into the grass. She spotted the pride and picked up her pace, slowing when she saw them going after a bison. “Nice catch!” Simba said to one of the lioness.

Osaraka considered chasing the bison away, out of spite, then looked at the number of lions. That was probably not such a good idea, but then she considered that she might be able to catch a meal, and the lions didn't necessarily have to see her, after all, she looked just like a shadow, so if she stayed next to one of the bison, she would be mistook for a shadow, and it would be almost impossible to see her. She quietly stalked to one of the bison that was standing next to the shadow of a tree, and gave a low growl. The bison cried out, and began to run towards its herd, Osaraka right where its shadow was, being careful to stay in it. She went from shadow to shadow gracefully, quietly, with her small inverted stripes looking like blades of illuminated grass.

Nala sat down on the edge of the group. Simba noticed her and smiled before he went back to his hunt. Nala didn't like hunting with the pride, she preferred to hunt alone. Flicking her tail back and forth, she noticed a bison running towards the herd. But no one in the pride was targeting it. She looked around, and shrugged. "stupid bison" she growled low in her throat before grooming her paw

Osaraka was having some of the most fun time of her life, for to see the somewhat confused expression on the lion's faces was amusing to watch. Osaraka sped up, changing shadows again, hoping not to be noticed as a different animal. She knew she would have to leave the bison herd presently, but right now she was having way to much fun, her energy pulsing in her veins.

Nala looked around and her eyes landed on the tiger, she growled, standing and padding over to Simba. "the tiger is back" she said warningly. Simba followed her gaze, and his hackles raised. "Pride! Follow me." he said, leading the way towards the tiger. Nala...stayed behind. Well, she stuck to the back of the pride, keeping her head down, hoping the tiger wouldn't recognize her when they arrived towards her. She could see Simba's fur begin to rise as they padded closer and closer to the tiger, before Simba let out a roar to get its attention

Osaraka noticed that the lions were turning their attention to her. She was caught! Caught, yes, but not caught off guard. She was not feeling afraid at the moment, she was feeling angry. She shouldn't have to be scared. She turned to face the lions, staring deeply into the lead lion's eyes, then waited for them to approach her, waiting to see what they would do. After all, she reasoned, she had purposely scared off their prey, and was in their territory. Her eyes sparked at that thought. Then, as the lions came closer, there seemed something familiar about the lead lion. She couldn't quite place what it was, but it felt off, and her tail flicked in anticipation.

Simba rose his tail, and the pride halted. Nala....creeping at the edge, her heart pounding as she waited for Simba to speak. "My name is Simba" Simba said, with power in his voice. "I am the head of this pride" He said. "tell me, who are you to come lurking on our land" He said, sternly, gazing at the strange looking lion. The female lions around him, began padding up to his side, standing behind him. Nala froze. "oh no..." she mumbled to herself. Simba's head whipped around. "Nala!" he said. "Don't stand there, you know the rules." he said. "yes, you may not live with the pride full time, but when you are with us, you know the rules" he said. Nala blinked and nodded at him, making her way to stand at the edge, trying to look powerful, but looking more...well...scared wasn't the right word, it was more...anxious than anything. She stared down at her paws and felt the lion next to her, staring into her soul. Slowly, Nala lifted her head, and made eye contact with the tiger.

Osaraka noticed the lion she had seen earlier, what was her name…. Nala? “It’s you!”, she growled, still staring into Simbas soul. This lion seemed familiar, where had she seen him before? The realization hit her harder than many of the tigers in her earlier life had: it was the very same lion that had killed her mother. HER mother, the only tiger on earth that had loved her, that hadn’t despised her for we odd apparel. Momentarily, she felt like running, hurrying herself somewhere and never coming back up, as memories filled her head. Then, something in her snapped. It wasn’t really anger, just blind rage. She didn’t know what she was doing as she sprang at Simba, attempting to pull him to the ground d, oblivious of everything and anyone else.

Simba let out a roar...which was when Nala sprung into action. She jumped on top of the tiger and yanked her off Simba, throwing her against a tree and then racing after her. "YOU WANT A FIGHT?" Nala growled. "You got one!" she said, as she pinned her to the ground and began rolling. She bit the tigers hind leg, and sprang up before she could attack Nala, then Nala whipped around again and raced towards the tiger, jumping onto its back and making it fall onto the ground
