Osaraka whirled upon the lion who had jumped her, squirming out of her grip, and hurling her to the ground in return, then biting her. “You stay out of this,”, she snarled, turning upon Simba and jumping him again. “It’s you I want!”, she said. “It’s your fault, all of it! “, she was thrown to the floor, but bounced back up, unfazed, in continued attempts at subduing the much larger lion.

"What's my fault?" Simba growled, as Nala tried pulling the tiger off Simba's back. "STOP!" Nala screeched. She was fighting a tiger...her enemy. She growled, and grabbed the tiger's neck fur, yanking her off Simba. "What's his fault?" Nala asked suddenly. "What did he do to you?" she demanded. "why are you trying to kill him?" she asked, as she glared at the tiger with rage, before her fur bristled angrily and she snarled.

Osaraka picked herself up, breathing heavily, and glared her best poison glare at both lions, who were staring at her. She didn’t know what to say at the moment, but she realized she had to say something. “Murderer!”, she spat, putting all her anger into that word, as if it would lift her hatred.

"Did you kill a tiger?" Nala asked Simba, as everything went flooding back to him. "I...I killed her mother." Simba said. Nala blinked a bit, and then once more hand to yank the tiger off Simba. "Get out of here!" Nala spat angrily. "NOW!" She added with a snarl, as she wanted to just jump on top of the tiger and bring her down to the earth...which she did. She flung herself at the tiger, and bit her in the leg again, as Nala could feel a bit of blood coming out from a wound in her side. Nala growled angrily and she began rolling around with the tiger, scratching her with full force with her claws, making her regret ever attacking Simba.

Osaraka bit the attacking lion in the side, rolling out from under her. “It’s not you I want!”, she said under her breath. “I. Want. You. “ she sprang Simba again, this time bringing him to the ground, and began biting him in blind rage. She fully intended on taking full revenge on her mothers behalf. She had fought many things, many tiger cubs, when she had been one, and she used all her knowledge and power as she attached Simba with all that she had left. “You killed my mother.”,she told him into his ear,”and I will make you pay for that. She never did anything to bother you! Why did you kill her?”,she asked spitting blood, as Simba fought back.

Nala blinked. "PRIDE ATTACK!" Nala suddenly said, the pride lunged for the tiger, as Nala stood there, unable to walk as her sides heaved and Simba fought for his life. Something...something was different about this tiger Nala suddenly realized. They were the same. Nala...had been attacked by a tiger growing up, and her mother was killed by a lion. She shuddered a bit. "Stop thinking that Nala" Nala spat angrily at herself as the pride attacked the lion...something in her heart hoping and praying they wouldn't kill her.

If Osaraka had thought that fighting Simba alone was going to take all her strength, then she would basically have to rethink a large portion of her life, for fighting two lions is not that easy, and three lions could in most cases easily kill a tiger, but this, this was different. This was a whole pride of lions, and something in the back of Osaraka's head told her she could not win this. It was physically impossible for her to win this. But then another thought flashed through her mind. This wasn't her sake she was doing it for, this was for her mother's sake, and she knew what her mother would tell her at the moment. "Osarak", she had often told her. "Stop, and think. If you cannot win a fight by strength, then do it by wit, and don't show yourself a fool." Osaraka swished around, biting several lions, then she stopped attacking and started retreating, limping from the many bites and scratches she had received. She was scared at the moment, yet she got out of the tangle and faced the lions, retreating backwards so she could face them. It was then that she saw the one lionesses eyes, and they seemed... regretful, like she understood. Osaraka shook her head as if to get rid of those thoughts, and speeded up her retreat, starting for a patch of trees not far from where she was.

Nala turned and raced after the tiger. "hey, wait up!" Nala called, slowing when she reached her. "are...are you ok?" Nala asked, pure hope in her voice as she wanted the tiger to say yes. She sighed a bit as she saw the anger in the tigers eyes. "That was stupid of me to be nice to you if you're just going to hate me" Nala said. "but ya know, I realized, we're not that different" She said before turning and trotting through the long grass that lead to her cave. She pushed her way inside, and then lay down on the bed, beginning to lick her wounds that she had received.

Osaraka was more than thoroughly surprised at what had just happened. In all honesty, that was the thing she had least expected happening .She turned to face the lion, but she had already disappeared through the grass, apparently she was going to her home. Then the meaning of what the lioness had said hit Osaraka. "We're not that different.", she had said. Osaraka settled in the shadow of a tree and thought that over a moment. Tigers were sometimes aggressive. She had experienced that herself. Could it be that Nala had been in a similar situation. Osaraka shook her head again, trying to refrain from licking her wounds. No, she was strong, she could manage on her own, she wouldn't do it. Soon the moon broke out, and it was night, and there, under the shadow of the tree, sat Osaraka, licking the places where the lions had bit her. "Tomorrow,", she told herself, "tomorrow I will go sort this out, then probably leave this area, for good." With that thought, she fell asleep, her dreams haunted by her mother.

When the blood had finally stopped flowing from Nala's wound she stretched and padded into the open night air. She could feel the grass tickle her pelt before she jumped on top of her cave. Something she did every night. Standing forward, her paws in front of her, she put her head forward and let out a giant roar. Although, she was expecting no replies, a bird answered her roar that night. Nala chuckled. "good to see you mr bird" Nala said. The bird let out a tweet before flying away. Nala smiled and then jumped off her cave and padded back inside through the entrance of grass. She circled her mossy bed for a bit and growled. It was covered in blood. "ok, tomorrow, I need to get more moss for my bed" Nala said, settling down before laying her head down and falling asleep

The next morning Osaraka woke by the sun once again shining upon her. This time, it shone upon her tail. Osaraka got up from where she was laying, and noticed a pool of blood where she had lay. Her body ached from yesterday, and her mind still felt numb at what had happened. She slowly drew herself up, and decided to look for something edible. She heard, in the back of her head, a voice, like her mother calling, and it seemed to be calling her in the direction the creek was in Osaraka energetically shook herself. No, she was not going back there. She took up her shadow rushing again, looking for something, anything, to eat, but to her dismay, she found nothing.

When Nala woke up the next morning, she tossed the old moss out of her cave and then padded out, letting out her morning roar before padding around to find some more moss for her cave before she found some breakfast. After she got a new bed into her cave, she began running through the tall grass, looking around for anything to eat. Her eyes locked on a herd of deer. It wasn't ideal, but it would due.

Osaraka searched far and wide for something to eat, but found nothing. She felt very hollow inside, in both ways. The events of yesterday felt like a bad dream, one that she had escaped, yet still her scars bore witness that it had indeed been real. It occured to her that she could see if there was any food where she had started out on, but then decided against going back. No doubt the lions were still angry at her reckless attack that evening. In her heart, the spark of hatred returned. Maybe not all lions were bad, she told herself, but most of the ones she had come across certainly seemed so. Presently she found another stork, and sneaking quietly, she sprang it and proceeded to devour it, not leaving anything behind but the legs and the feathers.

After Nala had gotten her kill, she began eating the deer swiftly. When she finished, she left the remains where they were, and stood up, stretching before padding back towards the stream for a drink. After her drink, she padded back to her cave, and jumped on top of it, settling down on the warm rock, and letting herself get warmed by the morning sun. She heaved a sigh as she could feel pain in her sides from the wounds she had received from the attack with the tiger the day before. Sighing again, as she remembered what she had told the tiger. "We really aren't that different" she said out loud

Osaraka really did not know what to do with herself that afternoon. Yesterday night, she had decided that she would go to the leader of the lions, come next day, and question him. Now that she was thinking more rationally, she decided such a gesture wouldn't make much sense especially considering her violent attack of yesterday evening. But still in her head hammered the question of why. Why had he killed her mother? WHy was her coat wrong? Why had the lioness spoken to her. Why had she said what she said. And still, in the bleary expanse of her mind, was still the lust for revenge on Simba. She didn't know why, but she returned to the spot she had been at yesterday and slipped into the shadow of a rock, looking at the expanse of long grass, and the grass lying down in certain spots, bearing witness of their life and death struggle. Osaraka fell asleep looking at it.
