Storm Watcher lazily hauled herself up to her paws, swishing her tail as she scrambled over to the next bush, which had a more shaded underbelly.

Velvet awake a while later. When she did, the clouds were covering the sun a bit. Velvet snorted. “It doesn’t mean rain” she reminded herself

When Caido shifted about half an hour later and opened his eyes, he found, to his great pleasure, that clouds were beginning to gather, blocking out the sun from it's burning scorching of the land. He stretched, getting to his paws. Time for a quick stretch of the legs then! A nice stroll through the woods could be pleasant. As long as he didn't run into anyone. That would certainly be unpleasant. Shaking his coat out he began padding forward, then sped up into a slow pace, eyes and ears alert as he moved into the trees.

Storm Watcher cracked her eyes open as the sunlight suddenly gone, pleased to find them blotching the rays out- in turn- hopefully lowering the temperature. Time to visit Feather Step! She excitedly scrambled out from under the bush, shaking out her pelt and tail. She took a moment to scent her surroundings, but asides from the stale scent of a maned wolf, she found no other predators. Flicking her ear, she pelted off in the direction of her brother's den.

Velvet noticed the wind begin to pick up. She felt herself start to tremble a bit. “Rain” she almost hissed. Now, rain….rain was something that she didn’t overly like. Shuddering again, Velvet padded to her den as fast as she could, pushing her way in and crouching down on the bed

Caido loped briskly through the forest, a relaxed expression on his face, even as his ears flicked this way and that, picking up different wildlife sounds around him. A sudden sharp wind brushed by him and he glanced to the sky, his expression brightening. Rain! Well this was his lucky day! Rain in this dry season was not to be taken lightly! He'd have to find a good position to enjoy it from! He turned his path slightly back to the open meadow as the wind grew stronger, cooling him considerably.

Storm Watcher leapt over a small patch of thorns, quickening her pace as she scented the cool breeze. The smell of rain was welcome and reassuring. Safe. It said. Safe. Home. Free. It was like the wind was singing to her as it ruffled her fur and made her fluffy tail ripple. She let herself smile a bit, enjoying the trek as she sprung over fallen shrubby branches and briar patches with practiced ease. She couldn't wait to see Feather Step. Safe, Home, Free.

Velvet let out another growl as rain began. She curled herself up on her bed and fluffed up her tail, pulling it close to her nose to keep it warm. Rain always made her cold, that and she felt oddly safe with her tail fluffed up and curled close to her nose.

Caido continued moving through the tall grass as the clouds darkened and gathered above, wind whistling by his ears. Finding a good spot in the prairie where the rain would not be hindered to pour onto his coat, he lay down, shifting slightly to get comfortable and then letting out a relaxed huff as a light drizzle began to fall, which steadily got stronger. Wonderful. Just magical. And maybe he would even be lucky enough to find some early Lobeira after the rain!
