''Alright,'' Lockian said, he left the table and quickly made his way up the stairs and into their room shutting the door firmly. He found that the water had been already changed and after carefully peeling off his clothes from where they had stuck and dried to his wounds, got in and began to wash himself off. He did not take very long and neither did he stay in the water for an extended amount of time, even though he was tired his generally active body did not allow him to sit and relax for long. He rinsed off and dried himself with a nearby towel which was folded neatly on a washstand. After putting on a clean set of clothes and untangling his wet hair as best he could since he did not have a proper comb exited the washroom and seated himself in the armchair again. He looked the window adjacent the chair and watched the mostly empty street, though it was hard to make things out in the darkness except for what the few street lamps illuminated.

After draining a second glass of whiskey, Cass rises slowly to her feet and she makes her way over to the counter to pay their tab. It wasn't cheap between the food and booking a room for a night in a big city like this, but it was affordable nonetheless and it would be better than making camp for the night she mused. With their tab paid, she makes her way over to the stairs and climbs up them slowly. She felt a bit more relaxed than she had earlier, so hopefully sleep would come without too much issue. She fishes for the key in the pocket of her trousers and unlocks the door so she could step inside. Upon entering, she could see that Lockian had already seemingly finished with his bath. "You know, you can borrow my comb if you need one" she says, shutting and locking the door behind herself. His hair still seemed a bit tangled. It was longer than hers, so honestly he probably could make better use of the comb than she could.

Lockian looked up when he heard the key turning in the lock. He laughed, ''thank you, I believe I will,'' Lockian said accepting Cassidy's offer. He had been getting irritated at how his hair had been clinging coldly to his neck. He stood up from the chair and took the comb from where Cassidy had left it last. At first he was a little awkward with it but managed in the end and soon his hair was fairly well combed out. He took out his bed roll and set it up in an open place on the floor, and laid down with a sigh, he wasn't going to fall sleep yet, he was just winding down for the night. He knew he would sleep well especially after such an exhausting day, though thankfully it had gone by rather uneventfully, they hadn't even lost a wheel, and the horse hadn't acted up. Hopefully the next day would go just as quietly, though he knew he could handle anything that did happen along their path.

"No need to thank me. You can probably make better use of it than I can." Cass says, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. She only really needed to run the comb briefly through her hair after washing it, since her hair was cut very short. It didn't quite reach her chin even. She was a far cry from most of the women she had seen as of late, with their long neatly brushed hair, and flowing dresses. But never the matter she mused as she leaned back against the bed board. "You sure you'd rather take the floor?" She asks. If he'd rather have the bed, she wouldn't complain. It felt really novel to think that someone cared about her well-being enough to take the floor so she could have an actual bed for the night. Perhaps she hadn't had that before. She had no way of knowing. Yet however forgotten her past was, it still seemed to plague her mind.

''I'm sure,'' Lockian answered sincerely. He was fine with sleeping on the floor, for he had been in more uncomfortable positions before anyway. And this was a lot more a definite upgrade from the rocky ground from last night. Cassidy surely was very different from a lot of the other women he had known, though he had seen what some call 'female warriors', he had nothing against girls being warriors, far from it in fact, just some of them acted very strangely. But in his opinion Cassidy's personality and bearing fitted her lifestyle very well.

"That is... very kind of you." Cass says, letting her eyes close. Even when given an out, he was still sticking with a bedroll on the floor. She doubted many people would opt for that when given the option to sleep in a proper bed. Still, it was better than sleeping in a musty pile of hay she figured. Especially with how chilly the weather already seemed to be getting. They could hopefully both get a good night's sleep before another early morning. They had to see about tack for Phantom before they left as well. And she would need to see if she could find an apothecary as well.

Lockian's eyelids were already beginning to close though he did try and keep them open for as long as he could. It had been a very long day and his body was finally giving out for the night. Luckily it was warmer in the room, especially from the large fire place the inn had on the main floor. It wasn't long before he did finally relent and allow his eyes to close causing him to fall asleep instantly He didn't dream at all thankfully for the thoughts from the night before had been consuming his mind while they had walked but now was a time where he could forget about that and rest in the blissful relaxation of sleep.

Cass remains where she was for a while longer, her back resting against the wooden headboard of the bed. It was comfortably warm in here, and much quieter. The droning of all the patrons below in the tavern was reduced to a quiet hum in the background. That was much more bearable. Eventually, she moves to pull the covers back on the bed and gingerly she lowers herself down to lay on the bed. It was pleasantly soft, without being so soft that she felt like she was sinking too far into the mattress. And the quilt was thick and soft. Hopefully that would bode well for a good night's sleep when combined with a hearty meal and a couple of drinks as well. Hopefully her mind would be quiet for once, or at least quieter than it normally was she mused as she closed her eyes, turning to lay on her side.

Lockian slept pretty much through the entire night, although once or twice he was woken halfway by some crashing from downstairs, probably the last of the drunkards trying to exit the tavern. He got up on his feet silently, he couldn't tell wether or not Cassidy was awake since she was lying on her side, but he took care to be quiet just the same. He entered the wash room and throughly wet his face with water from a wooden basin to try and rinse the sleep from his mind. The cold water did indeed shock him into more alertness, once he had finished he opened the door and walked back into their main room to start picking up and compacting his bed roll.

Cass sits up slowly in bed, wincing slightly as the movement tugged on her still healing wounds. She'd need to change the bandages before they left the room. And probably see about an antiseptic ointment at one of the local apothecaries before they left the city. She'd rather not allow the infection to fester to the point where she needed to see a physician. Thankfully, she had caught it early enough that she could treat it herself without much fuss. She blinks slowly as her mismatched eyes adjust to the sunlight streaming in through the window. It would still be chilly outside, even with the sun out today. Once he eyes had adjusted to the light, she could see that Lockian had already packed up his bedroll, and she could hear the sound of water splashing in the wash room, alerting her to where he was at the moment.

Lockian smiled his good morning then picked up his bedroll, ''I'll see to Phantom while you wash up, then we can get something to eat,'' he said. After picking up his few other belongings he opened the door and stepped out. Quickly he walked downstairs, there were a few early risers in the main room but most people were still sleeping. He walked out of the inn and entered the cool outdoors. He sucked in a deep breath of the new and fresh air before entering the musty stables. He checked to Phantom, ''well old lad,'' he said giving the horse a measure of grain, ''you ready for today, last leg.'' Phantom just stuck his nose into the food bucket and began munching loudly. Lockian sighed and left the stables, the horse just seemed set on ignoring him.

Cass nods slightly, easing herself out of bed slowly. She makes the bed and then gathers fresh clothes from her bag as well as a roll of fresh bandages before making her way into the washroom. She shuts the door behind herself before slipping her night shirt off to expose the thick bandages beneath that covered each of her wounds. She'd have to change the bandages regularly, and apply some ointment each time regularly as well once she had, until the wounds had healed to ensure the infection couldn't set back in again. Once her bandages were refreshed, she disposes of the old bandages in the waste basket before changing into a fresh tunic and trousers. She steps out of the washroom to don her newly repaired leather armor and her sword. A bite to eat, and picking up a few supplies would be the last things they needed to see to while in the city.

Lockian met Cassidy inside the in, ''Phantom is all ready, we just need to get the harness and saddle for him,'' he said, ''you feeling any better since yesterday,'' he asked trying to look for any signs of fever or illness. She seemed better, but then again she had just woken up. He didn't know if they would have time to eat a sit down breakfast of not, they were tight on time after all. They were also lucky to still have the cart there, he had time to glance briefly at it before taking care of the horse, he didn't know much about this city and had been worried about their belongings being stolen, but all appeared at rights and untouched.

"Not all that different compared to yesterday... but I'll live all the same. Just need to see about picking up some ointment and maybe some sour-leaf if they've got it in stock at the apothecary. That'll do the trick with a bit of time." Cass says as she sheathes her sword on the scabbard at her back. She would likely be feeling worn out by the time they reached Lord Addaway's land, but that would be the case even if she wasn't injured since they had a lot of ground to cover still. "How's your arm looking?" She asks. His arm seemed to have been the worse of his injuries. He'd probably benefit from some sour-leaf for the pain as well, and a bit of ointment as well as a preventative measure, since his wound didn't seem to be infected. Or at least, if he had been feverish at all, she hadn't picked up on it.

''No doubt,'' Lockian said with a slight smile, ''I can get the harness while you take care of the medical supplies,'' he suggested. He rolled up his sleeve, his wound luckily hadn't gotten infected but it did hurt like fire though he tried to ignore it and carry on without noticing it. No doubt the scar would stay for life but he thought it was a pretty good looking one anyway, ''id appreciate some pain killer as well if you dont mind,'' he asked.
