“Quite true,” Lockian said when Cassidy grasped the gilded door handle. He wondered at what the Lord Addaway thought of him at this point. It was hard to tell beneath the apparent geniality he had towards them both. But he did wonder at how he wanted just to be hired as a soldier and was given a room inside the actual castle part, not even the barracks were commoners such as he were often placed. But it was probably only for tonight, he thought to himself, maybe they turning up unexpectedly caught them off guard.

Cass turns the door handle, pulling the door open to reveal the room. "We'll find out soon enough I suppose" she says. It was a nice looking room, comfortable enough. And it seemed like this old room must have been her quarters when she was last here, judging by the personal belongings that still sat in the room. There was an armor stand decked out in full plate armor, very different from the leather armor she currently wore. There was an armoire against the wall, and another sword mounted on the wall beside it. A trunk sat at the foot of the bed, and there was a bedside table beside it with an oil lamp sitting on it. There was a bookshelf as well filled with books on combat, weaponry and strategy. She could see the door to the washroom, and another door on the opposite side of the room, suggesting that they were in fact adjoined.

Lockian followed her into the room and glanced around, “hmm you have quite a nice set up here,” he said. His eyes fell upon the adjoining door, “I suppose this is where my quarters are located,” he said as he advanced toward it and placed his hand on the knob. He twisted and opened it to reveal another bedroom. He entered and looked around it was fully furnished but clearly he wasn’t expected because that is all there was, furniture. “Quite a nice place,” he said as he walked to the window to overlook the view.

"I suppose it should feel like home... but it just doesn't." Cass says, stepping further into the room. It was almost as though she just didn't have a true home, as though she had just blinked into existence even though she clearly had a life prior to all of this. She just felt completely disconnected from it. She couldn't remember who she was, what all she had gotten up to. But apparently she had been absent for some time, the dust on the furniture made that much clear. But she wasn't even sure how long she had been away. It was a nice room, clean and neatly organized aside from the dust that had gathered. She pauses in the doorway, her mismatched gaze landing on Lockian as he looked out the window. "It seems like you'll be able to get a job here... if you do, then I'm sure you'll be able to add whatever personal touches you want to your room" she says, leaning against the doorframe.

He looked back a Cassidy with a small smile, ''well, I don't feel very much at home either, though it reminds me some what of my past life a little'' Lockian responded and little thoughtfully and with an inaudible sigh. He looked back over from the window, ''very true,'' he said giving the room another appraising look, ''though you know this might be temporary, at least for me, once I begin my job I will most likely be sent to sleep with the rest of the soldiers.'' Though Lockian knew he wouldn't mind that, but still he would enjoy the comforts of living near the noble family as long as he could.

"I suppose it might be temporary. But you never know. Lord Addaway seems to treat his staff well, from what little I can tell. If I could remember anything about this place I could have been of more help to you. But I'm running off of only a few days worth of memories at this point." Cass says, shaking her head slightly. "In any case, I suppose we'd best settle in for the night" she says, straightening up.

''Well perhaps more will come to you the longer we stay,'' he suggested with a shrug. ''Oh yes that is a good idea, but we left our wagon outside the outer gates so we will have to go get our belongings first.'' He advanced towards the door, ''I will also have to get Phantom settled down for the night as well,'' he added as an afterthought. He opened the door and stepped out into the broad hall, ''a person can really get turned around in this place,'' he muttered to himself as he swiftly strode down in the direction of the gates.

"Maybe... I don't know. I suppose only time will tell." Cass says. So far all she had was a headache. It wasn't as bad as it had been when she had come to, but it had yet to leave her either. Perhaps she had gotten a really bad concussion. Though from what she heard the physician saying, people didn't normally lose all their memories from that. Something had really messed with her head and that bugged her. "I can get Phantom settled if you'd like. I could use something to do to be honest. Not quite ready to bed down for the night. He'll need to be fed too" she says.

''Sure if you would like to,'' Lockian responded. When they had finally reached the gate and had passed through the door he began rummaging through the cart and picking out his things. ''I'll take your stuff up too,'' he said once the wagon was mostly unloaded. When he had gathered as much as he could carry he began the trek back towards their rooms. He know he would have to make a separate trip for the rest of their things but he did not mind, besides Cassidy was taking care of the horse and that would most likely take her longer than Lockian taking all their stuff back up.

"I'd definitely appreciate that." Cass says as she as she unhitches Phantom from the cart. Her mind always seemed to be running a mile a minute, so this would give her something to focus on to hopefully quiet the barrage of unwanted noise if only for a bit. The horse seemed cooperative. He was probably still adjusting to being around new people, but he seemed to be adjusting well.

Lockian soon found their rooms again and set all the things he was carrying on his bed, he would sort through everything later. As he walked back down the stairs Lockian quite literally bumped into someone, ''excuse me,'' Lockian said with due politeness. A young man seemingly about his age turned around and smiled, ''think nothing of it,'' the man answered extending his hand, ''im called Danen.'' ''Lockian,'' he answered grasping the hand in his own. ''What brings you to these parts,'' Danen asked. ''Work,'' Lockian answered simply. Danen nodded, ''well I hope you are in luck here and that I will see you again soon, farewell for now.'' ''And to you too,'' Lockian responded before both continued on their separate ways.

After settling Phantom in an empty stall, Cass makes her way over to the feed room. She grabs a bucket and mixes up his grain for him before returning to the stall. She empties the bucket into his feed through. Returning the bucket to it's place, she does the same with a bucket of water to make sure the horse was all set for the night. She pats the gelding's neck with one gloved hand before exiting the stables. It was probably time to return to their quarters for the night she mused as she made her way back into the castle and up the stairs towards the rooms. It was definitely getting late, though she wasn't sure if she would sleep yet.

Lockian had already brought up the second load of things and had just finished sorting them between his and Cassidy's rooms. He began going through his set of belongings and picking out what he thought he would need for the night. He looked up when he heard Cassidy walk in, ''Phantom all settled,'' he asked after pulling out a clean set of clothes for the night. The walk had been dusty and despite the coolness he still sweated during their long journey that day, he was glad he would be able to change into something fresh. He was definitely tired but his mind was still fully awake from the excitement of the day.

Cass nods slightly, shutting the door to their quarters behind herself. "He's settled and has enough food and water for the night" she says. It was almost odd to think that tomorrow they wouldn't need to hit the road again. Travel was all she knew in her short span of memory. But now... that was over. They had reached their destination. And she wasn't sure how to feel about that. She still needed to wash the dried blood from her leather armor and repair it where the brigand's swords had cut into it. It would be best to have the leather armor still for when the plate armor on her armor stand would be too cumbersome. Though perhaps she had more leather armor in that armoire by the wall. Making her way over to the wall, she unsheathes her sword and hangs it up on the wall underneath the other one.

Lockian went into the wash room and rinsed his face, neck, hair, and arms before changing into the fresh set of clothes. He yawned as he walked out. ''I suppose we will be skipping supper,'' he asked, ''honestly I don't really feel much like eating at the moment.'' From his position at the threshold connecting the two rooms he could see both the bases hanging from the pegs on the wall, ''seem like good blades. You know, it is rare to find a person owning two swords. Wonder what the lord is going to say tomorrow,'' he said his mind turning to the meal they were to have the next day.
