"Honestly I'm not all that hungry either. Skipping supper one night won't kill us either way. Especially since we've got breakfast already arranged for once." Cass says as she rubs her right forearm absent-mindedly through her leather glove. She'd have to tend to her wounds soon. The bandages needed to be changed and the salve applied to treat the infection. She could visit the castle infirmary, but she would much rather tend to her hurts herself than allow herself into a vulnerable position. "I suppose so... don't know where I got either of them. But I suppose we'll get some answers tomorrow. At least as many as Lord Addaway can provide" she says. She wasn't sure what those answers would be, but they'd be something at least.

Lockian, ''yes, I suppose that's when we'll get a lot of our questions answered,'' he said rubbing his short beard in thought, he hadn't been able to shave their entire journey, he could have used his dirk he supposed, it was certainly sharp enough but it would cause unevenness and wound give him an unkept appearance. He shook himself suddenly, ''well I suppose I shall get to bed, long day tomorrow, good night,'' he said shutting the door behind him. Walking over to his bed table he blew out the candle and got in bed. He sunk back into the comfortable pillows with a sigh of contentment.

Cass nods slightly, reaching up to run a hand through her short hair. She wasn't quite ready to wind down herself, but she had to tend to her wounds first anyway. She retrieves the bandages and the bottle of salve from her bag as well as a clean change of clothes before making her way into the washroom. She shuts the door behind herself and sets everything down on the counter so she could pull off her leather armor, her tunic and the soiled bandages. Once each wound was clean, and she had applied some salve to each once, she dresses them in fresh bandages and freshens up before donning fresh clothing. She'd repair her leather armor tomorrow, but for now she would try and get some sleep she mused as she exited the washroom and make her way over to the bed.

Lockian's mind ran through the day's happenings, from the beginning in the town with the fight at the tanner's shop to their long, dusty, and tiresome and ending with their strange walk through the surrounding villages up the their arrival at the Lord Addaway's castle. His eyelids began drooping suddenly and he felt his body relax and his breathing regulate until he finally dropped off to sleep.

Sleep's rest was slow to come to one who's mind refused to be quiet. Though eventually Cass managed to drift off to sleep. Though what sleep came was plagued by restlessness. Until eventually she decided that she had had enough. She quietly rifles through her armoire until she comes across an old cloak. She slips it on for warmth and dons one of her swords, figuring an early morning stroll might help clear her head. Though before she exits the room, she pauses and returns over to the bedside table, pulling out a scroll, an inkwell and a quill. In a neat cursive scrawl, she leaves a note on the table, just in case Lockian woke before she returned. She wasn't sure how long she would be out, nor how early he would wake. The sun still wasn't up, so she figured he might still be asleep when she returned, but if not she didn't want to create any confusion. She slips out quietly afterwards and makes her way down the stairs and out of the castle.

Lockian woke some hours later, the sun had just begun peeping over the distant horizon and filtering through his window when he sat up and swung out of bed. Breakfast would no doubt be in another couple of hours so he had plenty of time to go and attend to Phantom before it was time to go and meet the lord again. He assumed Cassidy was still asleep but just before he left he noticed the note. He read through it quickly and set it back down before exciting the room. He would most likely be back before Cassidy, but if he wasn't she would probably assume he had gone to feed Phantom.

With a quiet sigh, Cass makes her way back up the stairs to the front door of the castle. She had been out for several hours in her attempt to quiet her mind. The sun was up now, though the day was still cold in spite of the sunlight. She wouldn't be surprised if the first snowfall of the year came early at this point given how chilly the weather was already. But the cloak she wore provided enough of a buffer against the wind that the temperature wasn't an issue. She enters the castle and begins to make her way upstairs to head back to their quarters. She wasn't sure what time breakfast would be, but it was still early morning, so she figured that they'd still have time to actually get ready for the day.

Lockian made his way as quickly as he could towards the castle stables where Phantom was kept, the cold didn't bother him very much but the early morning wind did send a shiver up his spine. When he had entered the stables and past the extensive lines of stalls he finally located Phantom, ''hey there old lad,'' he said giving the grey horse a rub on the nose. He moved away from the stall and soon found the grain that was to be fed to the horses. Lockian noticed that the grooms and stable boys were already up and about and were beginning with the care of the lord Addaway's mounts. Suddenly a very high pitched whinny or more like a scream came from the stable entrance. To tall grooms walked in, the were struggling to lead a horse who was tossing his head around violently and bucking and rearing like wild. Eventually they lead the spirited horse into a stall, four down from Phantom's, and quickly shut the door. The horse did a few tight circles and then settled to snorting and glaring at the to grooms who were panting and looking relieved that they had gotten the horse in his stall before it broke the lead ropes.

Cass opens the doors to her quarters, stepping inside and shutting it behind herself. It was completely quiet inside, so she figured that Lockian must have gotten up and gone down to the stables to feed Phantom. She takes a seat in the armchair in the room and leans back against the back of her chair. She allows her mismatched eyes to close, taking a moment to just rest her eyes if nothing else. She'd get up to get ready for the day and change her bandages eventually. The salve would need time to clear up the infection, but she wasn't feeling quite as feverish as she was the day before. So hopefully that was a good sign that it was working as it should. She'd be back to peak physical shape once she was healed. But until then she would just take care to ensure they healed properly.

Lockian poured the feed into Phantom's trough and the grey began chomping placidly. The grooms hadn't bothered with taking off the halter from the horse, they had no wish to loose any fingers. After giving Phantom one last rub Lockian walks nearer to the other stall. The horse was a dark blood bay with raven black mane and tail. He had also noticed earlier that the horse had very light feathering on its black legs. Suddenly he noticed a big and burly knight walk in, at least Lockian assumed he was a knight since he was wearing a long sword at his hip, but he wasn't wearing any armor nor sign of rank. He started speaking angrily to the grooms and gesturing to the blood bay. Lockian was too far to hear what he was saying but guessed some of it. He existed the stables then and made his way back to the rooms to get ready for the sun had creeped higher into the sky and he knew he should start getting ready for the breakfast they were to have with the lord.

Cass rubs her temples absent-mindedly with one hand in an attempt to soothe the droning ache that never seemed to leave. It was probably the last remnants of whatever had left her in the state she had woken up in when she came to in that infirmary just days ago at this point she mused bitterly. At least it wasn't pounding as badly as it had been that day. That was some small kindness this world had spared her. Not that it made her feel much better. But at this point all she could do was try her best to piece together her past with whatever Lord Addaway could tell her of time here. Though she had to take it with a grain of salt since he could make up whatever he'd like and she'd never know it.

Lockian opened the door and closed it again behind him, ''morning Cassidy,'' he said when he saw her sitting in the armchair. ''I'll get ready really quick and then no doubt the Caldur fellow will come back for us and escort us up to the lords board,'' he said entering his side up the room. He quickly fixed his hair into a more presentable appearance and straightened and dusted his clothes out. After making sure his boots were clean he went to his window and sat in a chair to wait until Cassidy was ready and for Caldur to come and fetch them.

"Morning," Cass says, rising to her feet as she heard a knock on the door. She makes her way over to the door and opens it up to reveal Calder standing there as expected. "Good morning." Calder says brightly. "I'll escort you both to breakfast provided you're both ready to go" he adds. Cass nods slightly, glancing back at Lockian. "We're ready" she says. It would be best not to keep Lord Addaway waiting, even if he seemed to be quite laidback for a lord.

Lockian thought the view from the window magnificent and wished he were at the moment strolling through the parklike lawns or riding through the forest he could see easily through the wide rolling grounds. The thought of riding bright his mind back to that horse he had seen earlier, it was definitely unlike one he had ever seen before. He quickly rose to his feet at the sound of the knock, he nodded to Cassidy to show that he was ready and strode towards the door and followed Cassidy out shutting the door firmly behind him.

"You saw that destrier stallion didn't you? Ornery animal that one is." Cass says, following Lockian's gaze out the window. Her tone held a hint of amusement at the thought of that blood bay stallion. He reminded her of herself in some ways. He didn't like being controlled... he was spirited and wild. An animal after her own heart. Though she was certain that the horse hadn't lost all of his memories like she had. But that was beside the point. Calder turns his head slightly at the mention of the horse. "He's the newest horse in the stables. None of the stable hands can really control him. I don't think he was here when you last were" he says before turning his attention back to leading them through the hallway.
