Cassius nods slightly, now seemed like a good time to leave the armory. They had gotten a decent look around after all. "I'm sure he will be. He can't run forever. Eventually he'll run out of places to run to or hide" she says before nodding her farewell as well and turning to follow Lockian outside. As soon as she was outside, she could feel the cold seemingly cut right through her once more. It was definitely going to be a long winter... though thankfully it seemed it wasn't snowing at the moment. But more definitely seemed to be coming. The sun was still shining through the gaps in the clouds, but they were dark and heavy looking.

Lockian shuddered after going back into the sharp weather, standing idle for so long relaxed his bloodstream and now the from the shock of the cold it was starting to pick up again, ''have you somewhere you want to go,'' Lockian asked Cassidy once they were well away from the armory. The thought of a thief intrigued him, he definitely seemed like a different fellow.

"Anywhere that's warm really would be fine. It's bitterly cold out here." Cass says, rubbing her right arm absent-mindedly through her glove. The thin fabric just wasn't cutting it. And her whole forearm was aching in protest to the weather. She could tolerate pain, but it was irksome when it was consistent like this. The cold didn't bother her so much as that dull ache did.

''I agree,'' Lockian said rubbing his hands together violently in attempt to warm them, ''we could go back to our rooms, or the barracks since they are closer,'' he suggested, ''unless there is someplace you would rather go than these,'' his breath puffed out in misty clouds as he spoke, dissipating almost instantly. This was probably the coldest autumn he could remember, it seemed that only a few days ago they were having a nice pleasant early fall but now it seemed that winter was already upon them.

"Our rooms are probably the best place. Barracks are probably going to be crowded with how cold it is." Cass says, pulling up the hood of her cloak for a bit of added warmth. It was bitterly cold, she wouldn't be surprised if it snowed some more today. And chances were that the snow would stick this time if temperatures remained this low.

Lockian nodded, ''yes that is best.'' As much as he liked people a crowd of them didn't exactly appeal to him for the moment. Thankfully the walk back wouldn't be far since the soldiers were generally stationed near the entrance for added security to the castle, ''some hard cider sounds very good right now,'' he muttered underneath his breath as another gust of salty and cold wind from the sea slammed into his body.

"That it certainly does." Cass says as she pulls her cloak shut around herself. Hopefully that would provide a modicum of extra warmth. "I can get a fire going in the hearth once we're in the rooms. That will hopefully help provide some warmth" she says. It was definitely very cold despite only being autumn.

''Good, and I will go down to the kitchens to see if I can get us a bottle of hard cider,'' that was the only place Lockian could assume to find the drink, but he also had never been down that way so it was an opportunity for him to explore some more. By now the gate had come into sight, Lockian wrenched open the heavy door and slipped inside. The relief from the wind was very noticeable but it was still cold for the stone walls of the castle didn't do very well in keeping out the dismal weather.

"Sounds like a plan." Cass says. A drink of hard cider definitely sounded tempting today. With everything she felt like she could use a drink. Getting a fire going would be easy enough. She already had firewood in her quarters, and she probably had some flint and steel somewhere to get the fire going.

Lockian detoured off to the kitchens to collect their drink. They were in quite a bustle preparing the noble family's supper for the evening. He very soon acquired the flagon and exited the kitchens. He soon found their room and entered laying the flagon on a table. ''Wonder if they have any goblets 'round here,'' he muttered as he searched through the cabinets and drawers.

"Try that one... might have some goblets in there. It's the only one in here I haven't checked yet." Cass says as she sets an armload of fire in the hearth. Once the wood was settled, she strikes the flint against the steel until the sparks caught and caused the wood to ignite. It would warm up in here soon.

Lockian walked over to where Cassidy was indicating and quickly opened it, “ah yes here they are,” he said reaching in and taking out two wooden goblets and setting them on the table beside the cider, “this is a nice blaze,” he said coming closer to it and warming his hands.

"It should warm the rooms nicely... but I'll need to head out to get more firewood before the wood burns down to embers if we're to keep it going." Cass says, straightening up. She'd just need to find an axe and then she could see about getting more firewood. But there was time for that. For now, she could probably take the time to warm up and have a drink. Once the fire was starting to die, she could see about getting more firewood. She sets the flint and steel down on her bedside table before removing her cloak. With the fire going, she no longer needed it.

“I’ll help you, it will go twice as fast that way,” he said pouring himself a goblet full of the hard cider and sitting down in an armchair before the flames. He sighed and took a sip, relishing the warmth that was finally thawing him. A sudden pang of sadness came over him, he remembered when Grettir used to lay before the fire snoring gently but he brushed this away quickly, he could not dwell upon the past.

"I'd definitely appreciate that." Cass says, making her way over to the bottle of cider. She picks it up in her left and fills the other goblet. Her right could still be used to a degree, but she didn't want to risk it faltering and spilling the alcohol all over the carpeted floor. Taking a sip, she takes a seat in the other armchair, following his gaze over to the fire. She could recall seeing his dog sleeping by the fire in the short time she had known him. "You know... it's okay to miss him. It's the price we all must inevitably face, but I doubt the inevitably of it makes it any easier" she says, taking a sip of her drink. She was lucky in that regard she supposed... if she had anyone to miss, she knew not of them. And so that grief couldn't weight her down at the moment.
