''Town was fine,'' Lockian answered, ''I,'' he paused a moment brushing his hand over his forehead, ''I got a horse,'' he finished. ''It was probably really stupid of me but they wanted to kill her, no one could get her under control and they wanted to put her down and I just couldn't let that happen. But she is a piece of work, a big piece, it will be a long while before she is ready to get into any calvary. He shook his head, ''it is a good thing that I have Phantom for the time being.''

"If she's anything like the blood bay, you'll definitely have your work cut out for you. But I can't say I'd have done differently. No animal deserves to be killed just because their owner didn't want to put in the time and effort to train them. With time and patience I'm sure you'll get through to her." Cass says.

''Hopefully,'' Lockian answered, he glanced out the window towards the sun to see the time, ''I should go now, I suppose I will see you later on.'' He looked towards the girl who seemed rather subdued at the moment, ''hope you have a good day,'' he said with a small chuckle taking a guess at what had happened earlier.

"Hopefully we both will. I'll see you around." Cass says. They would probably be resuming heading towards the library. That was where they had been heading before Lord Addaway's daughter had spotted the greatsword on the wall. She definitely seemed to be younger than her eighteen years, but such naivety was to be expected when she likely had a very sheltered childhood.

Lockian walked quickly down the hallway and out of the castle. The training arena was not far from the main gate luckily, and soon enough reached it. There were already several other archers there, including the captain who approached Lockian as soon as he entered, “welcome,” he said in a short let’s-get-to-the-point manner, “the Lord Addaway has informed me of your joining the archers, “the best place to start out is a test on your skill level. I can see you have already got a bow with you so we can start immediately,” he motioned towards the targets arranged at the end of the arena. Several other archers who had been shooting stepped aside and watched silently as Lockian came forward.

Cass turns her gaze back over Lord Addaway's daughter as Lockian walked off. It was undoubtedly going to be a long day. Though maybe after being scolded over her carelessly with the sword, she would be a bit more subdued.

Lockian smoothly drew out his bow and an arrow, set it to the string, drew back, and released in one motion. The arrow leapt from the string as if it were a live thing and sped towards the target, thudding exactly where Lockian wanted it to land, right it the sent of the red painted dot on the target. But Lockian knew this was an easy shot, one any amateur archer could make if he knew the point from the feathers. The commander nodded, “let’s try something a bit different now, he nodded to a nearby man holding a box of what looked like flat wooden discs. The man stepped forward and flung one into the air, Lockian k we precisely what to do.

As the day wore on, Cass continues to keep an eye on Lord Addaway's daughter. So far, aside from her incident with the sword and her constant chatter, it didn't seem like she got into much trouble.

As the wooden discs were flung into the air Lockian shot each of them down with precision. The captain showed no emotion as to if he thought Lockian did any good or not, ''you'll do,'' was all he ever said. Lockian noticed that Danen was part of the archers too, he'd have to speak with the fellow later on. The day passed by, filled mostly with different maneuvers and strategies. Nothing on horseback, perhaps the captain wanted to test Lockian out a bit more.

As the sun began to set, Cass escorts Lord Addaway's daughter back to her quarters. Once the door to the room had shut behind the younger woman, Cass turns to head back down the hallway towards her own quarters. It had certainly been a long day. But she was still settling back into her job after what had apparently been an extended absence. What all she had gotten up to during her absence, she wasn't sure what that could be.

At the end of the day Lockian said farewell to the other archers as all dispersed to their separate quarters. After feeding Phantom he approached the spotted mare's stall, she saw him and let out a scream of a whinny. Lockian grabbed a bucket and measured out the grain and went back to pour it in her feed bin, she just stared back at him through her dark eyes, ''your a spirited one aren't you,'' Lockian said quietly to her. The horse turned away and snorted giving him a side glance. Lockian smiled, ''and you've got a big chunk of sass about you too I see.'' The horse pawed the ground and let out another ear splitting neigh. ''good job, you've also named yourself, Banshee.'' Lockian left her then and started making his way back towards his room.

Upon entering the room,Cass takes a seat in the armchair with a quiet sigh. It had certainly been a long day. Of course, it hadn't helped that her head had been pounding from the day she woke up in that infirmary. She probably ought to get that checked. Although all they could tell her was that it was likely a bad concussion and tell her to rest. She didn't need a physician to tell her that, so she hadn't bothered to do so. Maybe it had something to do with her foggy past, and maybe it didn't. She wouldn't know.

Lockian entered the room and sat down by the window, he was feeling hot after work despite the cold. He sighed as he rested his head on the cold stone walls. What a day it had been, his arms felt limp from and the bow work he had been doing, especially with his bow having a draw weight of sixty pounds. He swung the quiver off and laid it down beside him, ''so,'' he said after resting for a few moments, ''your day? Im sure it was full of adventure,'' he said with a half smile.

"That would be one way to describe it I suppose. At least it pays well." Cass says, rubbing her forehead absent-mindedly with one hand. "How about yours? Hard work I take it with that bow. But such work pays off in the end. It's the only way to learn how to use a weapon of any kind" she says.

“It was great, I think I shall definitely enjoy working here. It is a lot of up-on-your-feet type of work but that suits me fine of course. I was lucky enough I suppose to already know how to use the bow and to know a lot of the different techniques but the team work portion of it I had to learn, or am learning I should say, there is a lot of it,” Lockian said. His thoughts turned back to the horse, he knew it was only the first day but when would he ever get time to train her?
