Kumiko took a moment to think about Ryo's words. She finally looks at him as she speaks. "Well...I don't know why I am doing this. I mean...if she was murdered...and no one was ever brought to justice....then maybe I am doing this so that we can figure out who did this...and if this person is still alive...bring them to justice so that Mai can finally rest after all these years. I mean...if you were murdered...would you not want whoever did this to you be brought to justice?" Kumiko asked as she looked at Ryo. She thought she was doing this for a good reason. At least she thought she was. Kumiko looked down at the books for a moment, and then back down at Ryo.

Looking down at the photo, in the yearbook, Ryo thinks for a moment, before nodding, "I suppose I would. Though I guess it depends on my emotional state, when I died," He says. He didn't know what this...Mai was thinking when she died. Maybe she was scared, upset, sad, maybe she was angry. It was really hard to tell. "So.....what is next? You've managed to identify the girl, found articles, that surrounded her death. What is next? Find her sister? I can't really think of what to do, since this is something, that I'm not exactly knowledgeable with. Ghosts and hauntings aren't exactly in my level of expertise," He says. He needed to make sure that they weren't taking a bigger bite, than they could chew. Once they got too deep into this, there was no turning back. And there was no way of knowing what the outcome would be.

"Well...if Rin is still alive, we need to talk to her. See what kind of person Mai was, and what happened the night of the murder. Maybe we can get some clues from there. I mean...once this is solved...things may go ack to normal. Last year was my first year here. But I never really encountered anything until this year," Kumiko said as she looked at Ryo. She then looks down at her phone, realizing what time it was. "I should be going. My family is out of town for the weekend, and I promised my neighbor that I would be home by 5. She is keeping an eye on me for my parents. I decided to stay home because I really didn't want to go to the hot springs with them. I have too much school work to think about," Kumiko said. "I can walk you home if you want." Kumiko gathers her things and puts the books in her book bag before helping Ryo with his crutches. Heading outside, Kumiko sighs as she looks to see that it had been raining. "Great. It is pouring and I forgot my umbrella at home. We can go to my place. It is only 5 minutes away," Kumiko announced. "I mean...if you feel like it..."

"Well, finding her will be a challenge, but maybe it is possible. You need to be prepared for the fact, that she might not want to hear about it. It's been over thirty years, for her. Bringing it up, after all this time, could be very upsetting. She's probably had years to work on her feelings, and coming to terms with her sister's death, so that is something that we just need to keep in mind," Ryo says. There was always the possibility, that it could be incredibly upsetting for her, that she would resist, or shut the door in their faces. Hearing the sound of thunder, he stands up, after retrieving his crutches, with some help, from Tanakawa. "I'll just have to crash at your place. the rain is going to get heavier. I'll just call my parents, to come and get me, first thing in the morning. I'll just stay in the living room," He says, putting his book bag over his shoulder, before walking over to the door of the library. He wasn't really sure what else to really do in this instance, but walking back, when it was raining heavily, wouldn't work well, when he was using crutches, and had no umbrella. He pulls his jacket out of his bag, slipping it on, pulling the hood up over his head, as a way to keep his head, dry.

Arriving back to Kumiko's apartment on the 24th floor of her building, Kumiko grabs out her key and unlocks the door. She was soaking wet from the rain storm as she allows for Ryo to enter her apartment. She sets her bag on the hook before looking back at Ryo. "Welcome to my home. Feel free to make yourself comfortable. I am sure my dad has some clothes you can borrow so we can get your uniform clean. I can throw it into the wash before I make dinner. Or we can order something if you want," Kumiko said as she walks over to the kitchen to put some water on the stove to make some tea. She then heads over to her parents room. She rummages through her fathers closet and dresser and finds some sweats and a t-shirt for him to wear. She then places them in the guest bathroom with a towel and heads back to the living room. "You can shower in the guest bathroom if you want. I just put some clean clothes and a towel in there for you. They won't be back for a few days, so I can wash them tomorrow." She then hears the sound of meowing as Haku comes running out of her bedroom. "Haku! I have missed you all day! I have someone for you to meet. This is Ryo," Kumiko announced as she picked up her cat for Ryo to meet. "Ryo, this is Haku. He is my best friend."

While Tanakawa takes the stairs, to her apartment, Ryo walks over to the elevator, using it to take him up to the 24th floor. He didn't live in an apartment, unlike her, instead, living in a house. He wasn't used to being in a building, that had this many floors, except a hotel. When he steps out of the elevator, he walks over to where he could see Tanakawa, inserting the key, into the lock. Pulling the hood off his head, Ryo shakes his head, just a little bit, since there were some water droplets at the ends of his bangs. Once he was inside of the apartment room, he slips off his shoes, trading them for some indoor slippers. "I don't need to shower, right now. I'll shower when I get back home. I'll just change for now. As soon as my clothes are cleaned and dried, I'll change back into them. While you're taking care of the clothes, I'll order food for us," He says, as he pulls out his phone, so that he could search for a restaurant, that would deliver good take out, that was in the area.

"Okay. Just put your clothes in the hamper. I am throw them into the washer. I can hang them once they are done in the bathroom," Kumiko said as she writes down the address for Ryo so that they could tell the restaurant where to deliver the food. "Come on, Haku. Let's get you fed." Walking into the kitchen, she soon pulls out the cat food for Haku and places it into his bowl. She then sets it down on the floor for him to eat and then heads back into her room. She shuts the door before changing out of her wet clothes and into a pair of sweats, a sailor moon top, and some slippers. Once she was done, she brought her uniform out so that she could wash it in the washer. "Did you find anything good to order?" Kumiko asked when she heard him hang up.

Taking the clothes, Ryo drapes them over one of his crutches, as he gets up, walking over to the bathroom. It was definitely a comfy looking apartment, though it was smaller than what he was used to. Stepping into the bathroom, he shuts the door, before closing the toilet lid, and sitting on it. Leaning down, he takes off the slippers, wincing a little, since his ankle still felt rather swollen. It was just his luck, that he had twisted his ankle, but he would heal, as long as he was patient about it. He would simply need to put some ice on it, to help bring down the swelling, and numb the pain. When he changes into the clothes, he brings his clothes out, dropping them into the hamper, before walking over to the couch, sitting down, and looking for food options. Eventually finding some, he places an order for food, before hanging up. Looking over at Takanawa, he nods, "Yeah, I did. We're going to have some hot soba noodles, with chicken, for dinner tonight. There is a good place, that makes good soba, that is still just as good when ordered to go," He says.

"Oh, that sounds delicious. Let me put your clothes in the wash. They should be done in a couple of hours. I can hang them in the bathroom and let them dry over night," Kumiko said as she was carrying the basket with his clothes in it. Once she has them in the wash, she heads back into the kitchen, grabbing the hot water that was on the stove and places it in a tea pot. She also grabs an assortment of tea and some cups. She even manages to grab an ice pack for Ryo so that he could ice his ankle for a while. Sitting down on the couch, she gently places the icepack on his ankle and wraps it up with a leg wrap before looking at Ryo. "I have some tea if you want some. Go ahead and choose one. I also feel that you should ice your ankle. If you want, I can get you a pillow to put under your foot." She pours some water into two tea cups and shows Ryo the different teas.

Nodding, Ryo leans back against the back of the couch. He wanted to be back in his clothes, but he could wait for them to be cleaned and dried, before he put them back on. He wasn't the type of person, to wear a yukata, when he was in his home. He just preferred regular clothes, since he wasn't overly traditional. Looking at Tanakawa, when she brings out a tea assortment, he looks at the variety, to see what he liked. While he looks, he could feel her taking his ankle, and wrapping the ice pack around it, to help bring down the swelling. "I think that I'll have the genmaicha. I think that's a pretty good tea," He says, as he pours the brown rice tea, into his tea cup, before leaning back against the back of the couch, again. Looking over at her, again, he raises an eyebrow, before nodding. "Sure, I would appreciate that. Thank you," He says.

Nodding, Kumiko stands up as she walks over to the closet. She finds a soft pillow as Haku jumps up onto the back of the couch, licking his face as he had just finished his cat food. He then starts licking his paw and rubs his face for a moment before looking at Ryo. "Haku, down. I don't know if Ryo wants to give you attention right now. Here, this should help," Kumiko says as she gently lifts Ryo's leg up and places the pillow underneath. "How does that feel?" Kumiko asked as she sits down, letting Haku jump down to the cushion between them as she grabs some earl grey tea and starts steeping it.

Leaning back, the cup of tea in hand, Ryo glances over at the cat, as he feels his leg being moved. He winces just a little bit, at the twinge of pain, that was radiating from his ankle, but he knew that, with time and patience, he would be back to normal, in no time. "It feels a bit better now," He says, as he takes a sip, from his beverage. They had about half an hour, before their food was going to arrive, though he would need Tanakawa to get the food, for him. He could hear the rain, that was pattering against the window, as thunder rumbled in the distance. Occasionally, there would be a flash of light, as lightning appeared in the sky. He didn't particularly care for rain, he just dealt with it. He was definitely hungry, and he pitied the person, who needed to deliver their food, since it was pouring rain outside. Hopefully, they used a car and not a bike, to deliver the food.

Looking outside at Tokyo as a flash of lightning flashed across the sky, Kumiko soon heard someone knocking at the door. Getting up from the couch, she walks over to the door and answers it. A delivery person with their food was standing on the other side. She takes the bag before thanking him for bringing the food. When the delivery person leaves, she walks over to the couch and places everything on the coffee table. "It all smells so good. I never tried this place before," Kumiko said as she took the bag so that she could place it in the cabinet where her family put all the other bags when they ordered out. She then returns to the couch. She then grabs her bowl and starts to eat after handing Ryo his. "Thank you, you did not have to order anything. It all tastes so good," Kumiko thanked him with a kind smiled as Haku laid on the couch next to her. He mewed for a noddle. But Kumiko shook her head. "Sorry, Haku, this is not for you. You know better than to ask for food." She then grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. "Is there anything special you want to watch, tonight?" Kumiko asked as she handed him the remote.

Sitting on the couch, Ryo glances over at the window, noticing how loud the rain was pounding, outside. There was thunder, rumbling in the distance, and every so often, he would see flashes of lightning, shoot down from the sky. Hearing the door opening and closing, he looks over to see that Tanakawa was bringing the food over to the table. It certainly smelled good, warm and inviting. It would be a nice, hot meal, something nice to eat, given the nature of the storm, that was outside. "You're welcome, Tanakawa-chan. I figured that we would both be a bit hungry, after everything," He says. Putting food into his bowl, he mixes it around, with his chopsticks, before looking up at the tv. Taking the remote, he starts to scroll through the channels, before settling on one of those game shows, where real people made fools of themselves, on live tv, for the chance at some sort of prize. "This would be good. I think we all need a good laugh at idiots," He says.

Kumiko could not help but laugh as she looked at Ryo. "I agree. We do need a good laugh. After everything that has happened at school recently. I do feel bad for the family of the girl that died yesterday. I hope they are doing okay," Kumiko said as she took a bite of her food. When she was done, she took his bowl, blushing as their hands touched. She looked away from him so that he would not see her blush. "I can send you home with some leftovers if you want," Kumiko said as she got up to go do the dishes and place everything in the dishwasher. Haku followed Kumiko everywhere as she went about doing things to keep the house tidy. When she was done, Kumiko sat down on the floor near him in case he needed anything. Haku climbed into her lap as she heard a knock at the door once again. "It might be Mrs. Hasegawa checking on me. She knows you are here and that you got caught in the storm. I am surprised she did not think that anything was going to happen between us like....you know...." Kumiko announced as she got up as the door opened.
"Kumiko, I thought I would come check up on you and your friend. I also brought you a little dessert of strawberry cheesecake that I made," Mrs. Hasegawa announced as she looked at Kumiko. She set the cheesecake in the kitchen as she walked over to the living room.
"Thank you, Mrs. Hasegawa. I can not wait to try it. This is Okada, Ryo. The one I told you about. He hurt his ankle today at school and when the storm hit, I asked him to stay here, since we were at the library nearby," Kumiko said. Okada-san, this is Mrs. Yumi Hasegawa, my neighbor. She is good friends with my mother," Kumiko introduced them.
