A Trios Journey (private rp with wingfeather and tenebria)

Sugar looked around hesitantly and sighed slightly before trotting forward and hopping into the water, smiling as she threw her mane around and splashed her friends with her tail. Her eyes glittering with excitement as she laughed, splashing around wildly beside her friends.

Galmúr grinned happily as the black friesian filly came plunging after him. He knew she wouldn't be able to resist the temptation! Hopefully it would dispel the strange feeling between them, and let them all be trusting, close friends once again. He gasped slightly as Sugar leaped in as well, large splashes of water drenching his coat. He reared, plunging his front hooves into the water, creating large swells that drenched his friends.

Artemis dove under the water, drenching herself completely. Resurfacing she shook herself vigorously, then began rivaling the waves Galmúr made. Soon the water around them began heaving as if it were a stormy sea.

As the water began to churn, Sugar climbed out, shaking off her coat and watching the water with nervous eyes. She didn't like water because one time when she was a tiny foal, a stream had swept her away and her mother had to jump in after her to save her. Sugar shivered at the memory and turned her eyes away from the stream

Galmúr gave a challenging whinny as Artemis began creating her own waves, and quickly redoubled his efforts, waves crashing against the sides of the bank, droplets shimmering in the air as the water grew choppier and choppier, until even he was finding it difficult to keep his footing! He was just preparing his largest rear, hoping for a wave to end the "war" when he glanced over and noticed Sugar on the shore, looking small and alone, facing away from the water. He dropped down, the fire of the challenge slowly seeping away as he glanced over to Artemis, then quickly plowed out of the water, shaking himself as he trotted over to Sugar, who seemed very downcast. "Well now, that was fun and all, but now we have to figure out how to get dry!" he said with a cheerful chuckle.

Artemis braced herself for Galmúr's plunge, but it didn't come. She followed his gaze to see Sugar already out of the water. Quickly she followed the buckskin as they crashed out of the water. Trotting over to Sugar's other side, ''right,'' she answered Galmúr, snapping her tail to get rid of the excess water.

Sugar looked up from her day dreaming at the sound of hoof beats. "sorry..." she mumbled. "When I was little I got swept away in a stream that had really strong waves....I just...it scares me now" she said

Galmúr nickered understandingly "I remember that" he said gently "It's ok Sugar, we understand" he said with a light smile as he nuzzled the young filly.

''Of course we do,'' Artemis said, backing Galmúr and nudging Sugar, ''what do you say we explore the forest a bit, it seems like a nice place.''

[Abbster]

Sugar nodded and stood up. "I wonder if there's any other sort of animals living here" she said, as she remembered the rabbit that had scared her when it hopped out of the bush. That was embarrassing... Sugar glanced around and thought for a second. "Wait, did Nacho say why he was leaving?" she asked, as she suddenly realized the old donkey didn't tell them why he was leaving, or where he was going for that matter

Galmúr smiled "I agree, this forest is quite a pleasant place" he said, then glanced to Sugar "I would think there would be" he replied, adding as she asked about the old donkey "Well since he's technically the protector of this woods, I would assume maybe he's out on a patrol of sorts?" he suggested.

''What if he's telling the other herd about us,'' Artemis was doubtful that the friendly donkey would tattle but that was a possibility.

[Abbster]

Sugar flattened her ears. "What if he's telling them about Galmur, and only Galmur and then they accept him into their herd and not us?" Sugar suddenly blurted, as she pawed the ground slightly, half in anxiety, half in embarrassment that she would think such a thing like that. Sugar looked up and then over at her friends. "I...I mean..." she stuttered slightly

Galmúr looked slightly doubtful at Artemis's words, then flattened his ears as the young dappled filly spoke. "No Sugar, I wouldn't let them do that" he said firmly. "We stick together, no matter what. If for some strange reason they only want me and not you guys, then we'll just keep moving, all three of us" he said strongly. No way would he ever let anyone split them up! Not even if they were in some way related to him.

Artemis felt relief envelop her, the same nagging thought that Sugar just voiced had been bothering her. She was ashamed at herself her not trusting Galmúr one of her only friends. Involuntarily Artemis stepped forward and hugged both her friends, she knew they would probably think her strange, but she didn't care, ''you both are the best,'' she said.
