A Trios Journey (private rp with wingfeather and tenebria)

[Abbster]

Sugar twitched again and then her eyes opened. She yawned and looked around. Galmur was sleeping a few feet away and Artemis...well she couldn't exactly see Artemis anymore, but she knew her friend would come back. She always did.

Galmúr's ear flicked as he heard movement, lifting his head and glancing over. It seemed that Sugar was awake, and Artemis had gone off somewhere, most likely to the river. Getting to his hooves he stretched, then began grazing in the shade of the willow, feeling a calm drowsy peacefulness in the air.

When Artemis saw Galmúr was up and gazing she trotted back to him and began grazing next to him.

[Abbster]

Sugar picked up her head once more and looked over at her friends. "Should I tell them how I feel?" she asked a bird that was perched in the tree beside her. The bird just stared at her. "I mean, they're my best friends.." she said, breaking off with a sigh. "You're right. I should just think this through first"

Galmúr glanced up and smiled as Artemis trotted over to him, following his example. A few minutes later he lifted his head and glanced around, then nudged Artemis. "Is sugar talking to that bird?" he asked in amused confusion.

Artemis nodded and smiled, ''looks like it, she answered. ''Sugar!'' she called, ''you want to come graze?''

[Abbster]

Sugar pinned her ears. "Oh goodness" She said to the bird. "They heard me...what do I do little birdie?" she asked the bird, watching as it flew away. "You're right" Sugar said, standing up and walking over to her friends. She forced a smile before she bent her head to graze with them.

Galmúr watched with a bemused expression as Sugar walked over to them giving them both a strange smile before starting to graze. Uncertain if he should press with questions, he glanced to Artemis.

She shrugged (if a horse can shrug) and continued grazing.

[Abbster]

"Umh..." Sugar stuttered. "C-can I talk to you guys...about something?" she finally asked, as her mind swirled with uncertainty. She took a shaky breath and look at her two friends, waiting for their answers

Galmúr looked back to Sugar as she suddenly spoke, quickly raising his head and giving her his attention. "Of course!" he said, curious to here what she was thinking.

Artemis lifted her head, ''sure, what's up Sugar?''

[Abbster]

"Well....I" she looked down at the ground and pawed the earth slightly. "So...Galmur...you know how Artemis knows you better than me...?" she asked. "Sometimes...I feel like...like...I don't know what's going on between you two and I feel like the third horse in the group, like the third wheel, as my mother once told me"

[tenebria]

Galmúr looked slightly shocked as she spoke. "Oh i'm sorry Sugar! I know I never meant to let you feel that way" he said, glancing at Artemis automatically. Going on between them? Nothing was going on between them. Right? "I know that I don't see you as a third wheel either at all" he said quickly "We're a trio, so it wouldn't work for you to be a third wheel"

''Oh I am so sorry that you feel that way Sugar, there is nothing going on between us,'' she said returning Galmúr's glance, feeling slightly embarrassed that Sugar would think that.
