Remus suddenly looked very serious, his brow furrowed slightly in intensity "Anything" he promised in a quiet firm voice.

Ginger shifted again. “Remus…if we ever…become mates…and have pups….will you keep them safe from…harm?” She asked. Ginger looked down at the ground. She really did have a hard time falling in love with Remus once the feelings started kicking in.

Remus's eyes did not hardly even flinch at this, and he gave her a deep look, nudging her as she dropped her eyes to the ground. "Ginger, I would do everything in my power to keep them and you safe, with all the strength in my bones and the speed in my paws" he said solemnly.

Ginger smiled brightly. “Thank you” she whispered. Leaning over to lick his ear. “My…my feelings for you are real, even if…if it took me a while to come to terms with these feelings. I’m glad I finally admitted it” she said,

Remus smiled slightly and nuzzled her again, then licked her nose again "Ginger, i'd do anything to keep you safe and make you happy again" he said softly. "I'm sorry it took me so much longer... I guess i've always just lived such a happy go lucky style of life with my brother, that I was scared to let anyone else in and let myself feel such strong feelings. But I know now. I know I love you." he said, feeling the protection he felt towards her strengthening him in a way he had never imagined was possible.

Ginger blushed hard. Was she…about to ask him to be his mate? Ginger wondered to herself. “Remus…I…” ginger said. “I love you. Being around you, makes me happy. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d love again. But when you entered my life, that changed.” She said. “As soon as we scouted together for the first time…I saw something in you, that I had only seen in one other dog. Cloud” ginger said. “I…I knew…I knew it was love.” She said, looking at her paws. “If…if I could spend the rest of my life with you…as…” what she was about to say…would change everything. “As your mate….it would make everything, and everyday so much better.”

Remus listened with shining eyes, nuzzling her gently as she spoke. "Oh Ginger!" he said quietly, his tail beginning to wag happily, and at her ending words he was beaming. "Ginger!! yes yes!! I'd love to be your mate, yes!!! I know I love you, i've never felt this feeling with anyone else, I feel like I would protect you no matter what, and i would do anything for you!" he said, his tail wagging harder as he nuzzled her, then licked her nose and nuzzled her again, overcome with happiness.

Ginger beamed happily as she licked his nose. “This…this is going to be hard for me. I haven’t had a mate in quite a few seasons” ginger said. “But I know with you by my side, everything is going to change.” She said, smiling.

Bella mumbled something in her sleep. “No…please. I have pups. And a mate….don’t kill me” she whispered.

Remus quickly nodded "I understand Ginger, and I'm here for you, whatever you need, if you need space one day, or if you want me to stay right beside you for one day, I'll do anything" he said sincerely, then nuzzled her again, licking her ear. "I can't believe how much my life has changed in one moment!" he added almost in disbelief. "Thank you for giving me the chance to be your mate and to love you" he said, nuzzling her again.

Thunder's head shot up as he heard his mate's voice and he swiftly nuzzled her "Shh my darling, I'm here, let me chase away the nightmares" he said softly.

Ginger smiled. “Oh Remus” she whispered. “Thank you for showing me how to love again” She whispered to him, pressing close to him, and licking his ear. “I love you…so much” she said, pressing herself against him. “Shall we make our bed bigger?” She asked.

Bella stopped trembling and she fell back to sleep as she heard her mate. A while later, she woke up. “Thunder…” she mumbled.

Remus nodded and pressed against her nuzzling her "I love you Ginger" he said softly, then nodded with a wide smile "Yes, I would love that!" he said, loving the sound of the word our meaning them two.

Thunder pressed against her until she stopped trembling, smiling as she fell asleep again and dropping his head. Hearing her voice he lifted his head and nuzzled her swiftly "I'm here my darling"

Ginger smiled eagerly. “Looks like the rain stopped. Should we get Remmie to fix us a bed?” She asked.

Bella pressed close to him. “Oh my rolling Thunder.” She whispered. “I had a dream…you didn’t save me. You let me die.” Bella whispered.

Remus smiled and nodded eagerly "I'd love that!" he said happily, then chuckled "My brother sure is gonna be happy when he sees us together" he said with a grin.

Thunder nuzzled her, hugging her to him "That would never happen, I'll always save you" he promised.

Ginger smiled and she stood, padding out of the den with her brand new mate. “Do you think the alpha will let us have our own den?” She asked, padding to the alphas den. “We should tell him we’re mates.” She sat outside his den. “My alpha. My we enter?” Ginger called.

Bella pressed against her mate. “Oh Thunder.” She whispered. “I love you.” She looked up when she heard. “You may” she said to ginger.

Remus nuzzled her then nodded "I definitely think so!!" he said happily, then nodded again, trotting up to the Alpha's den and sitting down as well.

Thunder hugged her and nuzzled her, then looked up and gave a bark of approval for them to enter. Remus followed Ginger, a slight grin fixated on his face, which Thunder could read easily.
