Thunder's ears flattened slightly, but not totally out of remorse. How dare she do that in front of Fang? Deny his authority? Fang looked even more uncomfrotable as he turned and trotted off to get Lulu. Thunder growled in frustration under his breath. Bella was a mother, she couldn't go off on dangerous patrols, especially not since Dragoman had almost killed her. That wasn't her job. That was his job, and as Alpha and her mate, she was supposed to submit to him, especially when he flat out said she couldn't do something. He wanted to follow her, but he knew he had to do his duty of protecting the borders first. As soon as Fang and Lulu appeared he growled in an agitated tone "Lead us Fang. Lulu, take up the rear" he said, breaking into a lope as they headed into the forest.

Bella ended up finding the pups and she joined them in their play. "Do you want to climb on mama?" She asked. "Can we?" Daisy asked. Bella shrugged. "Yea, just this once!" Bella added as she looked around the pack and sighed. Everything was quiet, that was good.

Lulu nodded and took up the rear behind Thunder, but she could see something off with Fang and she would figure it out later.

Willow and Sage let out happy barks and clambered onto her back joyfully.

Thunder growled under his breath as he moodily followed the swift moving husky. He felt bad for speaking so firmly to Bella, but she should have understood the situation. He shook his head and made himself focus on the situation at paw, just as Fang slowed. "here" he said shortly, nodding to the ground. Thunder padded forward "keep watch" he growled to the two as he bent down to scent the large paw print. Comparing it to his own, it was huge. He growled, bristling instinctively. "Did you find any others like this?" he asked, glancing at the husky. Fang shook his head "No, just this one" he said. Thunder moved into the forest a few feet, then emerged again, a frown still on his face. "There's no trace of anything else, but I don't like the scent. IT's definitely an intruder. WE need to double our guard on this side for the next few days" he said.

Bella smiled and lay down on her stomach so the pups could clamper on her back. She laughed as their tiny claws tickled her back. "That tickles!" Bella said laughing slightly.

Lulu looked at Fang. "whats wrong with him?" She whispered

Fang glanced over and shook his head slightly "Bella" he mouthed, hoping that would be enough. Thunder finally raised his head. "Let's go" he said abruptly, spinning. He'd send out a true patrol to scout the entire area later, but right now he'd assesed the danger, and that was enough.

[Abbster]

Lulu sighed. Of course. "That makes sense" She whispered to him as they followed after Thunder.

Bella rolled onto her belly. "HEY!" Saylor squealed, giggling as she jumped onto her mothers belly.

Fang nodded as he dropped back, Thunder leading the way home. It wasn't long before he burst through the tree line, still looking in quite the mood. Fang quickly moved back to his own den, sensing an incoming storm from his Alpha.

Lulu looked around and then made a beeline for Rebel. “REBEL!” Lulu said. “Get in the den. Thunder is in a mood and it involves Bella, there’s a storm coming with him….we gotta get in our den” she said, pushing him towards their den.

Clover looked up. “Fang, what’s wrong?” Clover asked.

Rebel had just returned from his scouting trip and he looked up in surprise, padding after his mate. "What happened?" he queried in confusion.

Fang sighed "Bella sort of questioned Thunder's authority in front of me" he said quietly as he lay down.

Thunder padded up to Bella. "Pups, go the den" he said quietly. Willow looked up first, took one look at his face, and immediately scampered into the den. She knew that look already.

Lulu shrugged. “I don’t have any idea” Lulu said. “But….he wasn’t happy” she said to her mate.

Clovers eyes grew wide. “She did what?” Clover asked. “Is she even allowed to do that?” Clover asked.

Bella sat up as the pups scampered into the den. “I don’t want to talk you” Bella muttered

Rebel sighed. It was never a good thing when those two fought.

Fang sighed "I know" he said, then shook his head "no, she isn't" he said quietly. NO one was allowed to, and she only when not in the presence of others. They were meant to be a united front, and he was the authority of them all, Luna or not.

Thunder did not sit down, his face stony. "Well you're going to" he said, his voice calm yet the calm of a brewing storm.

“Whats going to happen?” Clover whispered.

“No. I’m not.” Bella said. “You don’t have the right to control me. I wanted to keep OUR pups safe in OUR new home” Bella said, she just stood up and walked away…not until thunder stopped her.

Fang shook his head "I dont know... " he trailed off. Whatever it was, it wasn't going to be very good.

Thunder's ears pinned and he stepped in front of her. "Bella, stop" he said quietly. "I'm not controlling you, but I am the Alpha, and I am your mate. My duty is to protect you, my pups, and my pack. Your duty is to protect them to, but in a different way than mine. You are my Luna, and you are my pups mother. You must protect them first. I am the one who goes out in search of the threats, you know this. You have stood as my Luna by my side for a good many months now, you know how it works best and most smoothly. And what you did there, speaking before me and speaking against me in front of Fang... what am I supposed to do now? do you realize the position i'm in?" he asked, then sighed and turned his head, shaking it. "I must have my pack trust and obey me. If they do not see me as the authority, then there isn't even a point of me trying to be Alpha" he said firmly.

“Do you think…….he’s going to….tell her he doesn’t want to be mates anymore?” Clover suddenly asked. “Can he do that?” She asked.

“Do you even care about how I feel?” Bella asked. “I barley left our old camp. Do you think it’s fun to be stuck here all the time?” Bella asked. Bella closed her eyes. “Are you…..are you saying you don’t want me as your Luna anymore?” Bella whispered.

Fang snorted "Goodness of course not!! He wouldn't do something like that" he said.

Thunder sighed "Of course I do Bella, I love you" he said, stepping forward to nuzzle her, frustrated at how it had to be so turmoiled. "I love you still, and always. You know that. It's just, I can't help it. You are my Luna, i need to be able to trust and lean on you. I need to know that you're safe, if you were out scouting, i'd never feel secure. I have to have you safe, if anything happened to you or the pups" he got choked up and closed his eyes, resting on her neck.
