Jinx would listen for any threats in the area her ears focused on one spot just behind the den, it was a voice she knew well Cade a fellow police k9 but she didn't want to bark in case he heard it and came closer to their temporary den, "I thought I caught Jinx's scent around here and there are two others ones I am not familiar with" Cade said to a dog she was related too, "Bravo...I haven't seen him in years...what a time this would be for a family reunion" Jinx said to herself, she could see Cyrus was also listening to the two k9 friends of hers, she had worked together with them once but it was as a pup now they were fully grown and strong.

Cyrus heard the two voices "Do you know the two dogs checking our den area out" Cyrus softly barked to Jinx he was worried that they would discover their den and could harm him or Jinx, "Yes I know them the long-haired German shepherd is my twin Bravo and the other one is Cade" Jinx barked softly to Cyrus, he just had to hope that they would move on and not come closer to the den to investigate as Jinx wasn't fit to fight, he could but aganist two former k9s he wouldn't stand a chance against them both, "Cade let's get out of here I scent a strong female scent nearby" Bravo said to Cade, he listened for there retreating paw steps which thankfully happened.

Vidra loped through the woods, her paws landing carefully to avoid making noise as much as possible. She had only been running for a few minutes at most, when a scent wafted by her nostrils and she slid to a halt, nose in the air. Her eyes widened. Two males, near the den. Pivoting, she leapt forward, heading swiftly back the way she'd come. The scent grew stronger, and suddenly she heard voices. Carefully she dropped the ground, slinking through the undergrowth, her amber eyes gleaming with protectiveness as she maneuvered her way between the cave and the two dogs, just in case. She could hear them coming closer, and closer. Until they stopped, scenting her most likely, and turned, moving off again. She let out a relieved sigh, then slunk after them, sticking to the shadows and the undergrowth, needing to be sure that they were leaving.
