Jinx would tell Cyrus about her first encounter with Arrow how he had attacked her officer/handler and then she had leaped in to save his life only to get attacked too, "I never thought I would see him again I thought they would put him down" Jinx said, started to feel the shock from seeing Arrow again hit her, she barked at Cyrus "Get something to help with shock ...I am going into shock and won't be able to help you" Jinx barked, she could feel herself start to drift into unconsciousness from the blood loss but forced herself to stay awake well fighting off the waves of pain she was feeling, she knew she was in bad shape from the attack but it was worth it to protect her packmates from a threat, she then thought back to Lance the wolf they had met was he doing okay she thought trying to distract herself from the pain.

Cyrus found a herb he knew helped with shock and gave it to Jinx who ate it without question, "you have a lot of wounds it is a miracle you are still alive" Cyrus said as he found some supplies to make some bandages on Jinx's wounds, which he quickly applied to her "Don't fall asleep no matter how much you feel like it you have lost a lot of blood I need to fetch some water to give you to drink to replenish your body" Cyrus said, as he quickly ran off to a small spring nearby, the water wasn't tainted it was fresh like most water he found a discarded bowl that someone had left there, it would have to do he grabbed the bowl with his mouth and filled it with water, which he brought back to the cave and placed it in front of Jinx who began to drink it.

Arrow twisted around his teeth seeking purchase on his attacker, he could tell she was a female by her scent but there was something else more wolf-like, "Finally a strong female ...much more worthy of being mine" Arrow said in a creepy voice, he would stare into the wolf dog's eyes trying to convince her to let him go, "You don't need to fight me why not become my mate instead you are way stronger then that long-haired german shepherd" Arrow said, he would knock her away from his throat with his large paws and stand up facing her, normally he was far bigger then the other dog but not this time, his opponent was far taller more sure of herself and possibly a leader who took command, he liked that in a female it had been so long since he had crossed paths with a female even worth his status.

Vidra let out an angry snarl as the large dog smacked her away from him. Landing on her feet she spun to face him again, rising to her full height, fur bristled, her eyes flashing with a primeval fury. "I would never be yours, you are not worthy of any female" she growled, rage for the way he had treated Jinx flooding her veins. He had harmed one of her pack, the pack she had sworn to protect and lead, come what may. And she would not let this ragged creature tear them apart. With a sudden ferocious, wolf-like roar she leapt forward once more, instinctively dodging to one side, her jaws clamping around his throat as she hit him hard. The dog's own weight brought him crashing to the ground before her and she tightened her grip. "Either surrender and give me your word that you will never come near this place again, or die" she snarled coldly.

Arrow looked at the Wolfdog he would consider his options "Okay I will leave this place but a word of advice keep your eyes and ears open for the enemies that await you they will be far worse than I ever will be" Arrow said, as he felt the wolf dog's jaw release he ran off far from where the small pack lived, "Keep watch of your pack wolf dog for I will be waiting for a chance to meet again" he growled as he ran towards a thick stretch of woods.

Vidra snarled, but forced herself to release him, eyes narrowed as she watched the cowardly creature run into the forest. "If you ever return, you will never see the light of day again" she growled after him. Suddenly a deep, primal sense of triumph, coupled with protectiveness, surged through her, and she stepped forward, lifting her muzzle to the skies and letting out a shuddering warning howl, claiming the area as hers and her packs. After a few moments she let her jaws close, listening to the howl as it echoed off into the forest. She could still hear the canine's warnings though... enemies that awaited them. But she would not be intimidated. She would do anything to keep the two dogs with her safe. At that thought she spun, remembering Jinx. The area all around her was silent and empty, but she could smell the metallic scent of blood wafting through the air. Swiftly she loped after it, realizing it was bringing her back to the cave. Carefully making her way down the ravine, she leapt into the cave, skidding to a stop inside and shaking out her fur. "Jinx, are you alright?" she asked worriedly, glancing at Cyrus who was beside her.

Jinx would get to her paws "I'm alright for now Cyrus patched most of my wounds" she said to Vidra, she wanted to thank Cyrus but there would be a time for that, she looked at the cave floor some of it was stained with her blood but it was drying already, her coat was a mess of mud, burrs and her blood but that was the least of her problems right now, if Arrow had found there pack what was to say other dogs or packs wouldn't, but for now they were safe from threats if threats came they would face it as a pack.

Cyrus was glad to see Vidra return "Did you chase Arrow off?" Cyrus asked Vidra wanting to know if Arrow had left where their small pack was located, he didn't trust that black and tan dog and it was clear that Jinx didn't either as she had attacked him rather swiftly, he was sure that many more threats awaited them once the weather was clear, but that was a we will deal with it when it happens moment they would face as a pack, he could see Jinx looked a lot better and much more alert he had been worried seeing the damage that Arrow had done to Jinx and she wouldn't be her old self, it was one thing to mess with a pack member it was quite another to be a threat from your past.

Vidra quickly glanced over Jinx's wounds, then sighed with relief. "Thank goodness that you know herbs!" she said to Cyrus, then nuzzled Jinx. "I'm glad you're ok, you had me really worried there" she said with a slight smile. At Cyrus's question she nodded firmly. "He's long gone, and he won't be back for a while. If he ever does, then I can promise you his body will not leave this place" she said with a fearsome growl.

Jinx answered Vidra "Yeah I was afraid Arrow would kill me before you and Cyrus reached me," she said, before turning around to face Cyrus "Thank you Cyrus although where did you learn to use herbs," Jinx said slightly tilting her head in confusion, she had never seen any dog being healed with herbs only human medicine which was often sharp needles and bitter tasting pills which she still remembered the taste of, she would rather take herbs over human medicine anyways as it was more natural than the chemical tasting stuff the humans called medicine.

Cyrus looked up at Vidra "You are welcome" he barked before facing Jinx, "I learned it from my owner she used natural remedies to heal any injuries I picked up she didn't approve of vets unless it was a serious emergency which was beyond her skills" Cyrus said, that surprised Jinx "well that's impressive Cyrus just try to remember all of the herbs she used it might come in handy" Jinx said to Cyrus, he let his tail wag a bit feeling happy that he had known what to do to help his pack mate when she was seriously hurt.

Vidra smiled at Cyrus "A very useful skill in a pack" she agreed, then shook herself suddenly. "I might go on a quick scout of the area, if you're sure you're ok" she said to Jinx. She still felt a bit nervous about the warning Arrow had thrown out after his departure, and was eager to secure their territory for the time being.

Jinx barked out an answer "I feel fine thanks to Cyrus's herbs and if you do go outside be careful there might be things we haven't seen until now," She then drank some more water that Cyrus had brought for her she could see the sheltie's tail was wagging but said nothing she would let him enjoy Vidra's praise as it was clear he had a crush on her, she then ate a little bit of the deer she had killed earlier the meat still tasted good and wasn't ruined by the rain that had fallen, her coat on the other paw was fluffed up except for where Cyrus applied the herbs making her look funny, she didn't know if Cyrus noticed her fur if he did he didn't say anything.

Cyrus kept an eye on Jinx it was clear his herbs were working but he still wasn't going to take the chance that she was healed just yet, he looked at her fluffed-up fur there was something funny about it but he wouldn't say it out loud in case Jinx took offense to it, he then joined Jinx at the deer carcass and ate a little bit himself, he didn't want to bug Vidra but he could tell that Arrow was very much on her mind as it probably was on Jinx's mind as well, what had the black and tan dog said to her he wondered as he ate some more of the deer, he wasn't very hungry as he was used to eating whatever his human had given him in his food bowl when he lived as a pet, but now that he was wild he understood the importance of eating whenever it was available as now they had to hunt and catch their food.

Vidra flashed a quick smile to them both "I will, Cyrus, keep your guard up" she said, her eyes meeting his for a moment before she leapt out the entrance and into the forest. Reaching the top of the ravine she shook herself, then scanned the area, choosing a point at which to begin and loping off into the woods. She barely knew this neck of the woods, and Arrow's words were definitely concerning. Better to check out the area and secure it than be caught unawares.
