Just wanted to let you all know that i'm going to be gone from Thursday - Sunday, and i'll be back on monday. (i'm on Central Standard Time btw)

Jinx wagged her tail "Thanks Vidra" she said as she waited for Cyrus to say anything, "Of course, I'm starving" said Cyrus, Jinx backed off letting Vidra eat first she didn't care much who ate first all that mattered was that everyone ate, she already saw herself as a hunter no surprise there it was just like her chasing criminals with her partner only this time her teeth killed, some part of her was already missing her k-9 life but she couldn't go back to that life she had to accept her partner may never come back or call her name again, no matter how hard it was this was her life now she couldn't change it not even for the multiple criminals she had chased daily.

Cyrus looked at Vidra he then noticed Jinx had backed off to let Vidra eat first he just thought it was some leadership thing so he didn't question it and let Vidra eat before he came to eat his fill, he looked at Jinx did she already suspect that he liked Vidra, then he noticed her gaze sadly off in the direction of the police station why was she even thinking about her past she was free now no humans to tell her who to chase or what to search he thought, as he ignored his own past of being a agility dog he hadn't liked it but it gave him a feeling of freedom as he had flown over jumps, now he was free to do as he pleased and he might admit with the girl he liked.

Vidra smiled, then widened her eyes slightly in surprise as Jinx stepped back carefully, Cyrus following her lead. Oh.. they were letting her eat first? Well that was a surprise. A new responsibility seemed to descend upon her shoulders as she stepped towards the kill. If they saw her in the leader position of their small pack, she would accept it with respect and honor towards her packmates. She already knew she'd do anything to protect the two dogs that waited behind her as she crouched down, setting her teeth into the deer's shoulder and ripping out a chunk, then looking up and motioning to the deer, inviting the other two to join her. If they wanted her to be leader, she would, but she would not be strict about such rules. They were a small pack, and felt more like friends than subjects. As she looked up she saw Jinx staring off towards a building in the city, and she frowned slightly. The two dogs would have to get over their pet pasts if they ever wanted to thrive in the forest.

Jinx stopped staring off toward the police station she then came over towards the deer and started to eat she strangely loved the slightly salty tang of the deer's blood it reminded her a little of the squirrel she had accidentally killed once she said mostly to herself "my past life is over now I'm not a police dog anymore I am a wild dog" her ears would pick up the sound of a coyote howling it was beautiful to listen to but also strangely haunting and mysterious she looked at Cyrus "You are looking at Vidra a lot is there anything I should know Cyrus" Jinx said to the sheltie.

Cyrus would look at Jinx "... how did you know I liked her?" Cyrus said to the long-haired German shepherd, "I can tell by your scent and the way you are looking at her also you are not hard to read" Jinx said, as he sighed "Yes I like Vidra she is beautiful" Cyrus said he then started to daydream romantically about Vidra, completely ignoring Jinx who was now looking at him starting to get annoyed that he wasn't talking to her "Cyrus ... earth to Cyrus are you even hearing me" Jinx said slightly barking her annoyance.
lol, Jinx is getting very annoyed ... she might even bite Cyrus soon :0

Vidra gave a low growl of pleasure as she tasted the acidic flavor of the warm blood, her teeth sinking into the haunches of the deer as she ripped out another bite. Her ears pricked as she heard Jinx speaking softly to herself, catching something about not being a police dog, and being wild now. A slight smile passed over her muzzle. Good, the German Shepherd was adapting. Her mind wandered slightly as she ate, new worries and plans drifting into her head. As the head of the pack, the health, safety, and general well being of the two dogs was now on her shoulders. They needed to find a secure place to sleep together, somewhere sheltered and hidden. They needed to stake out their hunting territory, and make sure they would have a water source for the winter.
So lost in thought was she that she didn't even hear a word of Jinx and Cyrus's conversation, until Jinx barked at the sheltie, seemingly aggravated. Lifting her head she looked over questioningly at the two. "What's going on over there you two?" she barked gently.
Hehe the secret's not out to her!

Jinx would look at Cyrus clearly he was dreaming but of what she thought, she looked at Vidra unsure what to say to her "Cyrus is just distracted now I guess, I wanted to talk to him about the deer but as you can see he seems lost in his own mind" Jinx said to Vidra, she wasn't happy that Cyrus just zoned out there was so much she wanted to talk about with the sheltie but it was clear it was a lost topic of conversation, she shook her fur noticing it was started to rain it felt good on her fur as it was washing away all the grim she had on her.

Cyrus stopped daydreaming noticing Jinx's change in behavior he then noticed Vidra she didn't look very pleased, "Did I miss something" Cyrus said slightly confused as to why both Jinx and Vidra were upset with him did he do anything wrong he wondered, he started to feel his fur becoming wet he normally didn't like rain as it produced thick mud but this time it felt calm and relaxing as it fell onto his coat removing some of the dirt that clung to his coat when he first arrived in the park before he met Vidra and Jinx, he noticed the German shepherd's coat had changed he thought her fur was brown and black but then he saw the dark red tones that reminded him of some of the dogs he saw in competition.

Vidra nodded in reply to Jinx "Ah I see" she said, giving a slight chuckle at the zoned out look of the sheltie. He blinked and came back to earth, looking confused. "No, I think Jinx was just trying to talk to you and you zoned out" she said with an easy smile, then glanced up as she felt some light raindrops patter against her fur. For a moment she enjoyed the cleanliness of the water as it swept away the dark dust and grime, letting her light tan coat shine through. Shaking herself she glanced up at the sky, then frowned. "Looks like this might keep up for a while. We should get this deer and ourselves to shelter" she said, bringing herself up to her full height from where she had crouched beside the deer.
