Everest nodded solemly, "I'm pretty worried for Tira, it isn't unknown for the General to dissmiss people on the spot for getting on his bad side." She winced inwardly as she looked back to the humans and realized Spike had been listening to her and saw how much more anxious and guilty he looked. Aria shook her head in agreement with Daell, "I don't know but whatever it is it can't be good," she said, glancing over at Spike at the end of the lead she was holding. "Well, I guess I'll return this guy to his pen before I get put in the doghouse too," She sighed.

Vervada frowned with mild worry, glancing over at Spike. "I hope not" she said sincerely. She wasn't sure how she'd handle it if Daell got dismissed.. the thought of something like that happening made her heart freeze slightly. Shifting uncertainly on her claws, she glanced up at the patch of visible sky. "How long do you think it'll be before we know?" she asked, glancing over again as Aria spoke of leaving. Daell nodded "Yeah, I really hope whatever it was she did doesn't have too big of a repercussion." he said, concern in his tone. He nodded at her next words "Yeah, definitely, I think we need to convince our dragons to stay on their best behavior for a few days." he added.

Aria gave a nod of agreement to Daell and waved goodbye, starting to lead a reluctant Spike back down the corridor. Everest furrowed her brow, "Aria and Daell will most likely know by the daily breifing in the morning." She hoped Tira didn't get in to much trouble, she knew it would devastate Spike and she would hate to see him so sad. Especially when it looked like he felt so guilty.

Daell waved back, still worried, then leaned against Vervada's cage in thought. Vervada glanced down, then back at Everest. "The sooner the better" she remarked, knowing it would set Daell and Aria on edge until they found out. And poor Spike of course, being the cause of this. "Ok girl, i'd better get going on chores, goodness knows there's already enough trouble without me being late on those" he said. She lowered her muzzle and he reached through to pet her, smiling, then turned and walked down the aisle.

Everest sighed and shook herself to try and calm some of her worries, walking over to the water trough to drink as Daell said goodbye to Vervada. As she drank she realized she had forgotten that in the rush of following the general's orders Aria had left her halter on, and when she had gotten her drink it had annoyingly dipped in the water and was now dripping on the ground. She huffed in annoyance and shook her head which removed most of the water before going to lay down by the bars between her and Vervada. For some reason it wasn't as comfortable to lay down as usually and she shifted around until it was bearable. Maybe Aria wasn't too wrong about her putting on a few more pounds.

Vervada glanced over to Everest as she heard her shaking her head violently. With a grimace she noticed the halter still attached to the ice dragon. "Can't you just rip it off?" she questioned as she padded over to lay down on the other side of the bars.

Everest glanced over at Vervada's question before sighing at the very tempting thought of doing just that. "I could, but then Aria would likely get in trouble and have to pay for a replacement or do extra chores," She explained ruefully, giving her head another shake, then wincing slightly as it rubbed uncomfortably on the tender scar over her eye. Hopefully, Aria remembered that she had left the halter in her rush and would come back as soon as she put up Spike. As she shifted around impatiently waiting for her human her gaze wandered to her injured wing. Just one more day until they could get a nature dragon and she would be back in the skies!

Vervada blinked "Oh, I suppose more trouble wouldn't be very smart for today" she agreed, glad it wasn't her stuck with the nasty piece of leather on her face. "So... you'll be flying soon then?" the large purple dragon asked as she noticed Everest's look to her wing. She was unable to restrain the wistful tone from her voice, but she so did miss soaring under the open night skies!

Everest nodded, giving Vervada an apologetic look as she heard the wistful tone of her friend. It was already driving Everest crazy staying down for so long, and she couldn't even imagine what it would be like for the recently wild dragon. "Yeah, me and Aria should be going back on patrols soon. It shouldn't be too long either though before Daell can take you on short flights, or maybe let you fly for a bit in the training domes!" Everest told her, trying to lift her friends mood.

Vervada nodded at her friend's first comment, then snorted. "I don't really WANT him on my back" she pointed out grumpily, then added "These training domes.. you haven't told me much about them" she said, curious despite herself.

Everest nodded her head, it had definitely taken some getting used to, having something alive on your back. Especially with how close to her wings the humans rode, just in front of them. It was in a dragons instincts to be more protective of their wings that were also very sensitive. It was why the worst spot for an enemy to be is directly above a dragon, where one hit to the wings could lead to a painful spiral of no return depending on the height. “The training domes are basically just huge domes, about 10 times bigger than our pens,” she explained, “they are where we get used to flying with a saddle on, then where the riders fly for the first time, so a dragon can’t just take off with them. They usually fly in the training domes for a few days or weeks before letting them go on a short patrol.” (Imagine the how to train your dragon movie dome basically)

Vervada listened curiously, wrinkling her snout at the mention of riders and saddles. "Well at least the flying part sounds nice" she said, idly wondering if there was perhaps an exit point from these training domes. If she could find it and escape, even for just a few hours... not forever of course, she thought hastily to herself. She had already thought through it all, and she knew that she would never be able to just leave Everest and Daell, and never know what would happen to them. But still... a few rebellious hours of freedom would be quite pleasant. With a sly look, she glanced to Everest "Has any dragon ever managed to escape from the training domes?" she questioned, trying to seem simply curious.

Everest acted like she was thinking about her friend's question to hide her own emotions. She could think of one time she had heard of a dragon escaping once. She even remembered hearing the rumors of exactly how he had. Even so, she couldn't help the pang of uncertainty when thinking of telling her friend. Though she would never admit it, she had come to greatly enjoy and almost depend on Vervada's friendship. It had been so lonely for almost her entire life, all the dragons in the compound avoided her like the plauge or were hostile to her. Just the thought of going back to that life was unbearable. She shook her head, no, don't think like that. Vervada left the cages and already came back once. She would trust her friend. Coming to a decision she gave Vervada a grin. "Well, I've never done it, but I heard that one time a dragon found a weak point near the top of the dome. Usually the metal is specially designed just like our pens to prevent dragon abilities, but I heard one guy found a dead space and managed to use his power to escape." She looked away before also grumbling, "I would have tried it but the deadspace was too small for me to fit through."

Vervada looked disappointed for a moment as it seemed her friend was extinguishing the idea, then perked back up as she spoke. "You don't say? A dead space" she murmured curiously, thinking hard. "I wonder how he could tell it was a dead space" she said thoughtfully, then grinned over at her friend "I can see that" she said teasingly, then quickly spoke again "So... how soon, if i behave" she gave another mischevious grin "how soon will Daell take me to one of these training domes?" she asked curiously.

Everest tilted her head, "Maybe tommorrow if he feels like your ready." After saying that she winced, "Well, actually it could be tommorrow or he might wait a little longer since General Kilo is here." Frowning, she silently hoped that Tira would get off with a light-ish punishment. She hadn't ever heard of General Kilo giving a light punishment, but there could always be a first hopefully.
