Vervada looked pleased. "Well then, that would be pleasant! Although yes, I might myself prefer to wait until he leaves. He's a strange human that one, I mean they all are, but he seems to think he can command dragons as he does his fellow humans" she said thoughtfully, wrinkling her snout with distaste and narrowing her eyes.

Everest could see why her friend would think that, but the general wasn't someone to mess with. "He's not really the one to worry about, the only reason he has that much power is the sun dragon he tamed. It's a nasty piece of work, and I've never seen another like it," She said, not able to keep a hiss of disgust out of her tone as she thought about the monstrous creature. Her eyes widened slightly as she realized if the General was here then the Sun dragon most likely was too. She shivered as she hoped they didn't see him again, one encounter was enough for her entire lifetime.

"aaah" Vervada said, understanding dawning. A sun dragon... she could only imagine how terrifyingly large it must be if it brought such a reaction from Everest. "So this sun dragon... it would be around these parts then?" she questioned, unable to reserve the look of curiosity that slipped over her face. "And is it truly larger than you and I?" she added doubtfully.

Everest gave a nod, "He should be, I've heard he never is far from the general. And he is almost twice my size, he radiates heat so strong you can feel it long before you spot him," she said, shaking her halter once again in annoyance. That heat was one of the reasons she disliked him so much, it was almost suffocating. Especially for an ice dragon. He also had a fearsome appearance. Pitch black with blazing orange eyes and scales littered along his body that glowed like embers, along with the everlit flame at the end of his tail.

Vervada's eyes widened slightly. That was quite the large dragon, plus the fact of the bright light, which she would never be able to stand. She found herself fervently wishing that he would pass by their cages. "Well, if he's never far from the general, then he most likely won't traverse down here" she said quickly.

Everest sighed, "I hope so." Her ears perked up at the sound of light footsteps and after sniffing the air she happily stood up, trotting over to the bars with a welcoming rumble as Aria came back into view. Aria gave her an apologetic look and immediately opened the pen door to come inside. "Sorry girl, I know you don't like the halter but thanks for putting up with it for me." After she unclipped the halter she tossed a small piece of meat to Everest and with an excited growl Everest caught it, chewing happily on the tender slice and purring as Aria petted her fur. Hmmmm, dealing with the halter had certainly been worth it.

Vervada looked over as Everest got up, smiling slightly as she saw Aria approaching, quickly entering and slipping the halter off. She snorted as she saw her get a treat, and then quite a number of pets, and yet she couldn't help smiling slightly as Everest literally began purring. She didn't blame her, a humans hand was beginning to feel not quite horrible. But she was disappointed to not see Daell returning as well, although he had told her he had chores to do. She sighed slightly, shifting her position to a more comfortable one as she watched the dragon and rider.

After giving Everest a few more scratches Aria laughed and stepped back. "Alright big girl, I'll see you later. I have to go finish the rest of my chores for the day." At Everest's disappointed huff Aria chuckled, "Don't worry, I saw your food being made and it will be here any minute now." She paused before a stern look crossed her face, "And no more of those roaring shenanigans from earlier when you were too impatient to wait for the food to get here," she emphasized by shaking her finger at the furry dragon. Everest smirked at the thought. Aria left the pen and called out behind her, "I'm serious! You'll get no community pen for a week!" Everest glared at her retreating figure sulkily. That would mean not getting to see Spike, and she had started to grow fond of him. Not that she would ever admit that of course!

Vervada perked up as she heard the mention of food, then grinned at the remembrance of the wonderous roaring exhibition they had put on earlier. "Well, she was stern" she said with a slight huff. "And while we're on the subject, when do I get to go to your precious community pen?" she questioned, a slight teasing look flaring in her eye.

Everest huffed again and gave Vervada a light glare without any true anger behind it. "I don't really know actually, it usually is up to when the riders think a dragon is ready and after a meetings with other dragons to make sure they are okay meeting other dragons."

Vervada sighed, a growl rising slightly in her throat in boredom. "Well then i guess that will be a while. If I end up having to go anywhere near that lizard of a dragon, Cobalt" she said with a slight hiss, remembering the sassy, cowardly dragon.

Everest nodded in agreement, feeling a hiss rising up in her throat just at the mention of the dragon. "Yeah, it took ages before they finally let me go in the community pen since everyone was so scared of me," she said ruefully. That, and the mind dragon incident...she shook her head. It was in the past, she couldn't dwell on that.

Vervada glanced over at her friend, noticing her expression, then grinning. "Well, imagine what fun we can have if we both get put in together sometime" she said with a wicked grin, her eyes glimmering with mischief.

Everest returned her friends grin. It would really be so much fun to go out with Vervada. She could already imagine teaming up against all the other dragons, and Vervada could talk to the earth dragons that worshiped her easier as well! Plus she would be able to meet Spike, more than just passing by. Even with all her teasing Everest still wanted to be able to play their games with both of her friends. "I hope Daell lets you come as soon as possible," she grinned.

Vervada nodded "I hope so... it would be nice to see some trees again" she said wistfully once more. How she missed the landscape... the trees, mountains, lakes and waterfalls. She gave a small sigh, then shook herself "Well it probably won't happen today, that's for sure." she added. What with all that had already gone on, there was no way Daell would risk attempting something else new.
