Everest nodded, "Yeah, I'd imagine he'd wait at least until the General left." After she spoke her stomach growled loudly and she huffed in a mix of annoyance and embarrassment. "Those dragon boys sure are taking their time bringing dinner," she commented. It was starting to get pretty tempting to pull the roaring stunt again, but Aria had seemed pretty stern earlier and she had to admit that it wouldn't be a good idea to act up when Spike and his rider were already on thin ice.

Vervada nodded, then snorted "A bucket of fish not enough for you?" she said teasingly.

Everest huffed, "That bucket was barely as big as one of my claws, hardly even a snack!" She had to admit though she had been strangely hungry for the past few days. Usually the bucket would easily hold her over till dinner and she would lazily pick through it. Yet lately she was licking them clean and wishing for more. Maybe she was having a growth spurt or something. She was certainly gaining some weight. Aria might have been right about her needing more exercise.

Vervada looked unconvinced, but held off on badgering her friend more. "Well I am a bit hungry too" she admitted graciously. "If they don't come I might not be able to stop myself from blasting their eardrums again" She added with a growl.

Everest nodded with an amused growl at the memory. Her ears perked up and she lifted her head eagerly as she heard the familiar squeak of the wheelbarrow tires rolling along the stone. She rose to her paws with an eager growl and watched as two dragon boys came into view with barrows filled to the brim with meat.

Vervada hopped to her feet as she heard the wheelbarrows, moving forward eagerly, eyeing the red meat. The boys outside paused, glancing at each other, and at the dragons, as if they hadn't quite decided who would have to feed which yet. One of the boys finally picked up a rock lying on the ground. "shortest throw gets the wild one" he said, trying to look confident as the other boy scowled at him, picking up a rock as well with a nod. Vervada watched with amusement. So she was still feared more than Everest. How amusing.

Everest paced at the front of her cage in annoyance at how long it was taking the boys to feed her. She rolled her eyes as one picked up a rock and proposed a game to see who feeds who. Ugh, they were ridiculous. Just hurry up and feed her already! She gave a small growl of annoyance at them, feeling more impatient than usual. Although it was slightly satisfying to see them both flinch at the sound.

Vervada grinned as both boys flinched and glanced over at the dragons again as the Ice dragon growled. Wow, she would never cease to be amazed at how timid humans were! Finally both boys threw the rocks, and with great gusto and bluster, the one who'd proposed the game grabbed the wheelbarrow and pushed it over to Vervada's cage. She grinned merrily at him, and he gave a slight gasp of fear. But she was hungry. With a sigh she moved to the back of her cage and began drinking water, keeping an eye on her door and the boy.

Everest watched with barely contained impatience as they both threw their stones, not even caring who the winner was. She wanted nothing more than to grab the meat as soon as it came in the entrance, but she saw Vervada's actions and sighed as she realized that if she wanted to be fed it would be for the best to give the timid humans some space. With a loud grumble she walked to the back of her cage and laid down, giving the boy an unimpressed look as he hesitantly opened her pen door and cautiously began wheeling the meat inside.

Vervada glanced over as she heard a clang, the door unlocking and the squeaky wheelbarrow swiftly being wheeled inside by the trembling boy. As quickly as he could he almost raced over to her food bin and upended the wheelbarrow, the delicious red meat pouring out, some of it hitting the edges and falling out in his haste. As soon as the last scrap was out he spun and almost raced out of her cave, heaving the door shut after him. Vervada snorted, turning and padding over to her food, giving a blank glare to the boy before she plunged her muzzle into the meat.

Everest watched through half-lidded eyes as he tried to hurriedly dump the meat in her feed trough, seeming to think that the faster he finished the faster he would be safe again. An idea came to her mind, and it was maybe half hunger and half irritation that helped her decide but in a flash she leaped onto her paws and acted as if she was going to grab his wheelbarrow in her jaws. He yelped in fear and tripped in his haste to get away at the sudden movement, scrambling out the door and slamming it shut. She grinned at him before grabbing chunks of meat and began devouring them, curling her tail around the wheelbarrow that he had left behind in his haste to flee.

Vervada, hearing an almost yodel of fear looked over in time to view the boy tumbling out Everest's door and slamming it shut, heaving frantic wild eyed breaths, as his friend watched with frank joy at the fact that he'd avoided such a terrifying experience. She snorted at this, then looked over to the ice dragon, raising a scaly eyebrow. "And what are you planning on using THAT for? she asked, eyeing the wheelbarrow the ice dragon seemed to be possesively gripping in her tail.

Everest looked over at her friend and then back at the wheelbarrow, grinning. "I don't know, I didn't really get that far... but it would be funny to see him take it back after using it as a chew toy," she said slyly. She grinned and looked straight at the boy as she scraped one talon against the side of it. He seemed torn between embarrassment and horror as he realized that he had no way of getting the equipment back, sighing in defeat as he mournfully watched her scratch the paint. Hmph, he should have been quicker bringing the food and she might have spared him, she thought with a smirk.

Vervada snorted again, turning back to her food and chomping down another chunk of meat before glancing back over, grinning slightly at the undecided boy watching in mourning. "Hmm maybe i'll have to do that next time, tell me what's it's like, although i feel like the metal would just make a horrible noise when you bite it" she said thoughtfully.

Everest turned back to her meal as well, slightly disappointed as the boy seemed to realize there was nothing he could do and ran off. Well she should probably have her fun before he came back with her rider. "Probably, but it will still be funny to see his reaction!" she replied, deciding to eat the rest later and hurry up on destroying the barrow. She was pleasantly surprised as she realized it didn't taste that bad as her fangs punctured and crushed the metal like paper, the blood from the meat it had carried earlier masking some of the metallic aftertaste. Her favorite part though was chewing on the rubber tire which was actually pretty amusing. By the time she was satisfied it was crushed and torn into a scrap heap. She grinned at her handy work and turned back to her meat just as footsteps were audible in the distance.
